About Stichting Marlin Yard

Stichting Marlin Yard is a pioneering non-profit advancing sustainable development in Sint Maarten and the wider Caribbean through regenerative agriculture, heritage restoration, and climate resilience. Our work is grounded in a practical 4R approach (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle, Repurpose) that connects circular systems, land stewardship, and community-led innovation.

Our subsidiary, Vicky’s Keys (VK), has transitioned from a traditional volunteer center to Sint Maarten’s first Heritage Agrarian Campus—a living classroom and practicum site connected to HAICI (Heritage Agrarian Institute of Caribbean Innovation), our online agriculture school. VK is the epicenter where participants learn by doing: restoring land, strengthening climate-smart food systems, and turning field experience into skills, tools, and knowledge applicable across the region.

Our campus season runs November to June. Programs include agrarian sessions, demonstrations, applied projects, and community-facing initiatives such as Food Farm Gardens and the early development of a CSA (community-supported agriculture) model.

What pathways does Stichting Marlin Yard offer through Vicky’s Keys?

Stichting Marlin Yard offers campus residency pathways at Vicky’s Keys (VK), Sint Maarten’s first Heritage Agrarian Campus, connected to HAICI. Residents learn by doing through regenerative food production, nursery/seedling systems, land restoration, community garden support, and applied projects that turn field learning into practical tools.

Where are Marlin Yard's projects located?

Our main projects are located in Sint Maarten, Caribbean. Our primary facilities include Vicky's Keys - Heritage Agrarian Campus & Innovation Hub in The Keys road 8, Sucker Garden, and various project sites across the island. We also have administrative offices in the Netherlands (Texel).

We welcome residents from all backgrounds who are committed to regenerative agriculture and community impact. Prior experience is helpful but not required. The key requirements are alignment with our mission, willingness to learn, and a minimum stay of 4 weeks (3 months preferred), or joining for the full season (Nov–Jun).

Does Stichting Marlin Yard provide accommodation for residents?

Yes. Residents are housed at Vicky’s Keys (VK), our Heritage Agrarian Campus. Accommodation supports intentional community living in an eco-minded setting aligned with our sustainability practices.

What makes the VK Campus Residency unique?

The VK Campus Residency blends hands-on regenerative agriculture with heritage-based learning in Sint Maarten’s first Heritage Agrarian Campus, connected to HAICI (our online agriculture school). Residents contribute to real food-system projects (nursery, gardens, CSA foundations) while living in an intentional community grounded in our 4R approach: Reuse, Reduce, Recycle, Repurpose.
