Stay with Nelson and his dog manager, Bush, in a cozy homestay that blends comfort with authenticity. Your package includes accommodation, a vegetarian breakfast, and three cultural activities. Nelson, a local guide born and raised in Santa Ana, will show you around and introduce you to local adventures. You can try making authentic Pupusas, take a day trip to the volcano or lake, join the best walking tour in town, or visit the hot spring waterfalls via local public transport. Our homestay is ideal for guests who like to travel slowly, want to learn about the culture and people of El Salvador, and want to connect meaningfully with the local people here.
Are there places to eat or shop around the area?
Guests will find many great restaurants nearby. ☕Beats Coffee centro historico is a coffeehouse located in Santa Ana, El Salvador. It offers a variety of authentic Salvadorian coffee options, including soy and almond milk for vegan drinks. Pupusería La Ceiba is one of the best places to try traditional Salvadoran pupusas, one of the country’s most famous dishes. Castor knows all the local spots and will be more than happy to show you around.
Do you offer airport pickup or help arrange transportation?
We are happy to help guests with recommendations for transportation, tours, and local attractions. Castor has years of experience helping guests craft the perfect authentic experience. Check out some of the options under "Activities." Yes, we can arrange transportation to and from the airport. There is an option on the booking form to arrange for pickup.
