Program Overview

Volunteer in Ghana with St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation (SMWEF) and make a lasting impact by helping teach basic subjects such as English, Math, Creative Arts, Science, and Computer Science to children from rural and semi-rural areas.
As a teaching volunteer, you play a vital role in enriching the lives of children in rural community schools, rehabilitation, and care centers. The project is a great platform to advocate for quality education, helping improve the lives of underprivileged children in rural Ghana.

Work alongside local staff, providing care and attention to young students and assistance in the classroom. We encourage you to bring teaching aids such as an abacus, flashcards, and art supplies to create more engaging lessons.

While no formal qualifications are required for this program, you must be 16 years or older, fluent in English, and have an open mind and passion for working with children in diverse environments. Volunteers should be flexible, patient, and bring positive energy and enthusiasm to make a difference. Those who have prior teaching experience may be able to take on a more independent role to teach and lead classes with limited resources.
