What inspired you to work for S.L.Immersion?
What inspired me was the versatility of the job, but above all, the fact that it had an international dimension and that I had the chance to talk to people from all over the world and get to know their culture. What also inspired me was being able to put into practice what I'd learnt at school and develop my skills.

What advice would you give your pre-travel self?
I would tell myself to stay open-minded and flexible, because unexpected things always happen when traveling, and that’s often when the best experiences come. I’d also remind myself not to stress too much about speaking perfectly; people appreciate the effort, and it’s the best way to learn and connect with people.

What is your organization's mission, and how do you continue to work toward it?
Our mission at S.L.Immersion is to help people from all over the world truly live the French language and culture through unique, immersive experiences. We believe that the best way to learn a language is to dive into real life, surrounded by authentic interactions, local traditions, and personalized teaching.
To keep working toward this mission, we carefully select and train passionate, certified teachers across more than 30 destinations in France. We continuously develop new programs.
Above all, we listen to our students’ needs and feedback to improve and adapt our services, ensuring each immersion is not only effective for language progress but also a life-changing human experience.
What do you hope participants take away from your programs?
We hope that participants leave our programs not only with improved French language skills but also with unforgettable memories and a true connection to French culture and daily life. We want them to feel more confident speaking French, to discover authentic places and traditions, and to build relationships that go beyond a typical classroom experience. Above all, we hope they return home inspired and enriched, feeling like they’ve truly lived “la vie à la française.”

Why is it important for people to travel abroad and experience new cultures?
Traveling abroad and experiencing new cultures opens your mind in ways nothing else can. It helps you see the world from different perspectives. For language learners, it’s the most powerful way to truly understand how a language lives and breathes in everyday life. Beyond language, cultural immersion creates unforgettable memories, friendships, and a deeper connection.
What does meaningful travel mean to you?
To me, meaningful travel is about genuine connection. It’s not just visiting places but engaging with people, understanding their culture, and sharing experiences. It means stepping out of your comfort zone to learn, reflect, and grow. It’s travel that leaves you with stories, insights, and friendships.
