Volunteer with Rural to Action – Cup of Hope School Meals
Program Overview
Every school day, many children in rural communities walk long distances to school without a nutritious breakfast. Hunger affects their health, concentration, attendance, and ability to learn.
The Cup of Hope School Meals Program provides nutritious daily meals to children in rural primary schools, helping improve nutrition, school attendance, classroom participation, and academic outcomes.
As a volunteer, you can support meal preparation and service, school gardens, nutrition education, communications, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, or community outreach. Your skills will contribute to a sustainable, community-led program implemented with local schools and families.
Whether you are a student, professional, or traveler, this opportunity offers hands-on experience in community development while making a meaningful difference. Join Rural to Action in Mbita and help ensure every child has the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
