My first month in December was getting my TEFL certification/course and meeting other volunteers. I loved this part as it was a great way to meet people instantly and get accustomed to your new environment. Afterward, my NGO helped me get my accommodation, and I began teaching English. I loved the school I was placed in. The teachers and students were so welcoming and kind. Once March was over, it was time for the students to go on school break, which allowed me plenty of time to travel and explore Thailand. The culture is so rich, full of love, and undeniably incredible. I would do this project time and time again. RealStep helped me SO much in the beginning and helped me get accustomed to my NGO in Thailand. Both companies were amazing, and I couldn't have asked for a better support team.

Do I need to have teaching experience or a teaching degree to join?
Nope! Teaching experience is not required. You will receive a comprehensive 4-week TEFL training course (included in the program) to prepare you with the skills and confidence to lead a classroom. This program is open to people from all backgrounds with an English Level proficiency of B2-C1.
Will I get paid to teach?
Yes! This is a paid position. While exact salaries vary by school and location, you will earn enough to comfortably cover your living expenses and enjoy a good quality of life in Thailand.
Is accommodation included in the program?
There is a 4-week accommodation provided in Hua Hin during the TEFL training, but it is not included afterward. However, you will receive full support and guidance in finding a comfortable, safe, and affordable place to live near your school placement.
How much does rent cost in Thailand?
Accommodation is very affordable. Monthly rent can range from $150 to $300 USD, depending on the location and amenities. Utilities are also low-cost, making it easy to live comfortably on your teaching salary and still save or travel.
