Do you need to speak Thai to teach English in Thailand?

In Thailand, you only need to speak English in order to teach English as a foreign language. Since students in Thailand will be engaging in an immersive classroom, speaking their native language is discouraged. However, we always recommend learning at least the basic language skills of any country that is hosting you.

Do I need a bachelor's degree to teach in Thailand?

Most teachers need a bachelor's degree (or higher) in any field/major and a TEFL certification.
