Shark Conservation Project in Fiji for Teenagers

by: Projects Abroad

Add first reviewVerifiedSince 1992

Join our Shark Conservation project in Fiji for a high-impact adventure designed for teens ages 14-18. Based in Pacific Harbour, you’ll work alongside world-leading researchers, waking up in a tropical paradise to protect some of the ocean’s most misunderstood predators. In your first week, you’ll master the water by earning your PADI Open Water certification (all gear included!) and a specialized Shark Conservation Diver course. Once certified, you’ll assist with shark surveys, identify coral species in local nurseries, and get your hands dirty with mangrove reforestation and beach clean-ups. When you aren't underwater, you’ll immerse yourself in Fijian culture. Imagine longboat rides up the Navua River, visiting traditional villages, and tubing down gentle rapids. From exploring the museums of Suva to relaxing at a beach resort, this is your chance to build independence and help protect our oceans!
