    As a volunteer in Projects Abroad's Shark Conservation project in Fiji you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, including diving, shark surveys, mangrove reforestation, and beach clean-ups. You will also be able to observe scientists catching and tagging juvenile sharks. The first week of the project will focus on your diving course. If you do not have a certification, you will be trained on the PADI Open Water course. All High School Special volunteers will also take part in a Shark Conservation Diver Course. The second week of the program will focus on scientific research, such as observing the scientists, helping with mangrove reforestation, assisting with beach clean-ups, and participating in a shark survey dive.
