by: Projects Abroad

Add first reviewVerifiedSince 1992

Ready to trade the classroom for a tropical paradise? Join a global group of teens in the Maldives for the ultimate marine conservation mission. You’ll live on a stunning island, waking up to turquoise waters and sandy beaches while building a college application that truly shines. This is your chance to go beyond the ordinary and work alongside experts to save one of the most fragile ecosystems on the planet. Your journey focuses on protecting sea turtles and coral reefs. You’ll volunteer at a local marine center, preparing food and cleaning tanks for rescued turtles, and snorkelling through crystal-clear waters to conduct underwater surveys. Between workshops on upcycling and sustainable fishing, you’ll head to local schools to inspire the next generation about ocean health. When you aren't in the water, you’ll be fully immersed in island life. Imagine beach yoga, volleyball, and bonfires under the stars. You’ll learn to cook traditional Maldivian recipes, pick up the local Dhivehi language, and go island-hopping by boat with your new international friends. With 24/7 staff support, it’s a safe, fun, and transformative adventure. Your journey of a lifetime starts here!
