Spend a life‑changing year in South Africa in Port Edward, KwaZulu-Natal, mastering English while living with a caring host family. Students receive 20 hours/week of CEFR‑aligned English, academic support (GED/IGCSE bridging), and curated cultural adventures. Students also choose a sport track—tennis, golf, horse riding, swimming, or squash—with two weekly coaching sessions included. Port Edward’s beaches, nature reserves, and local attractions create a safe and outdoor lifestyle that students love. We have been catering to international students for the last 5 years. Our guardianship model gives parents peace of mind, with services that include airport pickups, daily attendance, curfews, medical protocols, and weekly WhatsApp updates. The next intakes are in January and July—limited spots are available.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where will my child live?
Students will stay in homestays with our family or approved hosts. Rooms are private or twin, depending on the cohort. Three meals per day; dietary needs available upon request (gluten-free, halal, vegetarian).
Who will be responsible as a guardian?
- Guardianship & Safety – A named guardian is available 24/7. Curfew is at 21:30, attendance is recorded daily, and any unexplained absence triggers a call within 30 minutes.
- Erik and Dee are on call 24/7.
- Health & Wellbeing – A network of GPs and clinics, and keep a consent-to-treat form on file. A basic insurance plan is required, with upgrades optional. Incident reports are sent within 24 hours.
What sports can they take, and how many sessions?
- Sports – Choose from tennis, golf, horseback riding, swimming, or squash. Two coached sessions per week are included; additional sessions are available as add-ons. Equipment is provided when possible; students are also welcome to bring their own personal gear.
- Excursions & Travel – Weekly local trips; monthly big adventure; all transportation is supervised and seat-belted.
How do visas for minors work?
- Families must apply from their home country and follow the latest Department of Home Affairs/Embassy guidance. Provide this checklist as a convenience—requirements can change.
- Acceptance letter (program dates, address, guardian details)
- Proof of payment/sufficient funds (tuition & living)
- Birth certificate; parental consent for travel/stay; guardianship letter
- Passport valid 6–12 months beyond stay + blank pages

How do you share progress and photos?
- Schooling & English – 20 hrs/week English, CEFR placement test on arrival; monthly progress report with skill targets. Study hall supports GED/IGCSE/local curriculum.
- Communication – Parent WhatsApp group, weekly photo updates, monthly academic reports, and urgent matters via phone.
