Founded in 1961 in the United States, Peace Corps has proudly served communities around the globe for over 60 years. We’re a U.S. government agency with a simple yet powerful mission: to promote world peace and friendship by sending American volunteers to live and work alongside people in developing countries. Our focus is on education, health, environment, youth development, agriculture, and community economic development.
