HELP Youth Coordinator

The HELP Youth Coordinator is one of four Project Coordinator roles at OCN. You will plan and update the HELP Youth curriculum and lead weekly sessions at the REC in Cerrito de la Virgen, offering sports, games, crafts, and workshops that promote an active and healthy lifestyle. You will also brief and guide a small team of volunteers.

This hands-on role involves frequent use of Spanish, making it ideal for Spanish speakers or anyone wishing to improve their language skills.

Since HELP Youth requires only a few hours per week, you will also support other OCN projects to reach around 25 hours/week. Activities may include HELP English, HELP Environment, HELP Literacy, Global Glow, REC homework support, English classes in local schools and the library, helping at the dog shelter, playground renovation, and assisting with library inventory.

This role is a great opportunity for those who enjoy working with children and want experience in the NGO sector. Living in Huanchaco also offers cultural immersion and a welcoming international community. All roles can be completed as internships, with extra mentorship and academic coordination if needed
