The HELP English Coordinator is one of our Project Coordinator roles at OCN. You will create the curriculum and lead weekly English classes for children at the Recreational Centre (REC) in Cerrito de la Virgen, as well as brief and supervise supporting volunteers.
This is a hands-on role with significant exposure to Spanish, making it ideal for volunteers who speak the language or want to improve it. You will work under the supervision of the REC Coordinator and the Program Manager.
The project requires only a few hours per week; the rest of your time you will volunteer across multiple projects. This may include English classes at local schools or the library, supporting various HELP projects (Youth, Literacy, Environment), Global Glow, REC homework sessions, helping at the dog shelter, ...
