Volunteer as an English Teacher at our NGO for Poor Children
New Dream of Cambodian Children Organization (NDCCO) is a non-profit organization in Phneachey Village, on the outskirts of Siem Reap. NDCCO was founded in 2014 and was registered as an official NGO in 2018 with the government of Cambodia under number 2197. We provide free education, school meals, and community support to underprivileged children and families from our partner communities. We believe education is a key factor in the fight against poverty and that every child has the unalienable right to access quality basic education. NDCCO has an approach that emphasizes sustainable education. We work with the local village chief to target families in most need, offering them a place at the school. Most jobs in Siem Reap are in the hospitality services; thus, the ability to communicate in English is required to access employment. By providing free English lessons to underprivileged kids, we offer them greater employment opportunities. With the help of volunteers, we deliver lessons five days a week to over 230 kids from 6 to 17 years old.

A week’s volunteering
November 07, 2024by: Sami Littlefair - United KingdomI volunteered here for a week back in April while travelling. It was one of the most rewarding things I did on my whole trip, and I wish I could’ve stayed longer! The kids are an absolute joy and Kim and Jack are just amazing people. I have recommended NDOCCC to multiple people since going who have gone on to volunteer here, and am continuing to recommend it to anyone travelling in the area. Lots of love.

A real difference to children’s lives
October 20, 2024by: Sarah Beckett - United KingdomExcellent NGO ran by incredible teachers, doing amazing work for children. If you’re looking to make a real impact during your volunteering, this is the place. You will be instructed on how to teach the curriculum and supported through the process, surrounded by children who can’t wait to play and learn from you. You will be included in group activities with other volunteers to get to know each other, and treated as one of the family. Kim’s story and sacrifice for his work is incredibly honourable, and you couldn’t be in better hands.

Great school with amazing kids!
October 19, 2024by: Ben Brooks - United StatesI had an amazing time volunteering for Kimlean and his school. I met he because he was the tuk tuk driver for my visits to the temples. ?He told me about the school and we head out there the next day. Its really fun helping out in the classroom with the kids, eating good food, and also played a little football in the field. thanks Kimlean! You're doing a great thing.

Unforgettable experience
October 18, 2024by: Paige Jillings - AustraliaSuch a heart-warming experience, that will stay with me forever. The sweetest kids, that deserve the world. I was only able to volunteer for a few days but those were the best days of my trip and I intend to return some day. Recommend to anyone visiting Cambodia and wanting to make a difference.

Such an amazing experience!!
October 17, 2024by: Evie Chapman - EnglandCould not recommend enough!! The staff and children are absolutely lovely and so so welcoming!! Do not worry about having too much experience as they are so so helpful! The children are also so thankful for any work you give and are genuinely so so sweet.
I had the most amazing experience volunteering at NDCCO teaching English
October 17, 2024by: Courtney Ayrton - United KingdomThe children were so welcoming, respectful, happy and excited to learn. Kim, the director of the school is the most selfless person who puts everything into the school and the children. Tours can also be provided through their Tuk Tuk drivers which I would also highly recommend. If you have the chance to volunteer I would really encourage you to go.

I would highly recommend spending some time at the school. This project ran by Kim is changing so many lives for better by making sure kids have education and will be able to get employment once they grow up. Just beautiful! It has been a pleasure to be a part of it. Miss you all guys and I will definitely be back at some point in my life!

I had a time of my life!
October 17, 2024by: Adrian Soler - SpainThis volunteer program in Siem Reap offers a meaningful way to give back by teaching English to underprivileged children. The experience is well-organized, with the added benefit of affordable tours and transportation services provided by the school’s principal, supporting the school directly. A great opportunity to make an impact while exploring the beauty of Cambodia!

"A Week to Remember: Volunteering at NDCCO"
October 17, 2024by: Anna-Lena Gropp - GermanyI spent a week volunteering at NDCCO and it was an incredibly fulfilling experience. I immediately felt comfortable with Kim, the other teachers and volunteers, and the children are impossible not to love. NDCCO goes beyond education - it supports both the students and their families, fostering a strong, caring community. It's amazing to see the difference this school makes in the lives of its students. I highly recommend volunteering here to anyone who wants to make a meaningful impact and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Volunteering at New Dream Cambodian Children Organization (NDCCO) for 9 Months: A Life-Changing Experience
October 17, 2024by: Jack Pinion - United KingdomVolunteering at NDCCO for nine months has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, I felt like part of the community. The children’s eagerness to learn and their infectious enthusiasm made every day a joy. I had the privilege of teaching English, which not only helped the students improve their language skills but also empowered them to communicate with the wider world, opening doors to better opportunities for their future. Beyond the classroom, NDCCO offers a holistic approach, focusing on the well-being of the students and their families. It’s inspiring to witness the impact the school has on the local community. Through education, extracurricular activities, and support programs, NDCCO strengthens the bond between families and the school, creating a supportive environment where everyone thrives. Volunteering here gave me a deep sense of purpose. Seeing the students grow academically, socially, and emotionally, knowing that I played a small part in their development, was truly heartwarming. The smiles on their faces, their curious questions, and their excitement to learn made every challenge worthwhile. I highly recommend volunteering at NDCCO to anyone looking to make a real difference. It’s more than just a school – it’s a community where education is changing lives for the better.
