Volunteering in Costa Rica - Rainforest Conservation
by: Natucate
As a forest conservation volunteer in Costa Rica, you will get a hands-on learning experience in forest recovery and protection! See the progress of the plantation, hike the Reserve’s steep slopes, and enjoy the views of the valleys and waterfalls. You will experience a beautiful and biodiverse region and work with an international team of researchers and like-minded volunteers with a passion for the environment. During your stay at the reserve, you will support budding scientists with their research projects in nature, help with the maintenance of hiking trails or construction projects, or you will be looking after guests. Science students can write their bachelor's or master's thesis here, which will give them a broad insight into the fields of nature conservation and forest recreation. Please note: Be advised that the presence of insects and other critters is common in this area. Also, hygiene standards will certainly be lower than what you are accustomed to.
