Volunteer in Guatemala: Rescued Animal Rehabilitation
by Natucate
Program Overview
Get involved in endangered wildlife protection in Guatemala and experience a tropical adventure in the service of species conservation!
Volunteers support the care and rehabilitation of rescued animals such as parrots, macaws, monkeys, reptiles, and more while learning about the threats to these animals and how these can be combated. Your work directly impacts animal welfare. By offering consistent support through preparing food and maintaining enclosures, you ensure the best chance for the animals’ daily improvement, leading to an eventual release back into the wild.
Additionally, you work side by side with veterinarians and animal welfare specialists to learn about species-specific behaviour, habitat, and needs, all while gaining insight into the big picture of wildlife conservation in Guatemala.
