Meiji Internships

Looking back at my past three months in Tokyo, I can wholeheartedly say that it was the best decision to go with Meiji Internships for this program. I chose the business package with all its features and they did not just land me an absolutely amazing internship in a logistics company but also took me to so many sightseeing trips, networking events with fellow startup companies, business dinners and much more. Make sure to follow Japan's business etiquette as they completely differ from Western standards. The best of all was they landed me a full-time job after my graduation so I'm moving to Tokyo next year with the same company that I interned with. Doumo arigatou gozaimashita Meiji!

Studying social work and even doing an internship in Asia was unthinkable for me. The nature of my job and the need to communicate seemed big challenges but I like challenges! So I expressed my needs to Meiji and they carefully listened and assesed my case. After some initial time, I had good news that they could help me with my request but told me to be open to another industry as they do require two industry choices when applying with them. I helped out a Japanese NPO organisation dealing with single mothers and orphans in Tokyo. I have never thought that Japan has this side as it always looks so technologically advanced and shiny. But let me tell every society has its PROBLEMS! I was very happy to learn that there are many good souls in Japan engaging in a lot of social work and it really helped me expand my knowledge on the cultural bridge on how to properly communicate and cater to Japanese people in need. I am very thankful for this experience and will make sure to visit Tokyo again in the near future. Arigatou Hara-sempai you told me so much.

The whole internship experience was well planned and successfully implemented by both, Meiji and my host company. The balance of work and leisure was allowing me to explore Tokyo and also do some sightseeing trips outside the city. My organisation did support me with dinners out with fellow employees and also had the chance joining some business networking events organised by Meiji. I will be back for an interview this Summer again in Tokyo. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

This was absolutely the best internship I could have dreamt of! Robert made this journey unforgettable and offered me the best internship in a local IT company. I had a very intense two months that exposed me to so much learning and coding with Phyton, C++ and Java. THANK YOU for the great work you did!!!

My digital marketing internship with Meiji was so fulfilling from the start to the end, they made a lot of effort to accommodate me throughout this internship. The support I had from the airport pickup, orientation and also during the internship was great. I loved the sightseeing excursions we had. Most of them did take place within Seoul except of one trip we did to Incheon's Chinatown and local fish market. I highly recommend Korea for an internship but I would never work here long-term. Koreans are even more workaholics than Japanese!

Meiji Internships was very helpful with all parts of my transition to South Korea. Their response was very efficient within 1-2 days as they do have a lot of applicants in Korea. Most of them seemed to be located in Seoul, but me together with 5 other interns were in Busan which I preferred a lot! You can go for a weekend trip to Fukuoka and we also visited Meiji's headquarters there. Busan is super fun and a port city and Korea's second larget megacity. The Meiji team took us around and organized all parts of our program, from my airport pickup, sim card, public transportation card and also had a terrific experience with the help of them. I recommend Meiji for those wanting to travel abroad and be an intern in Asia as they seem to have a well established grip in this part of the world.

Just finished my 6-Month internship in Tokyo and it was simply amazing. Great people, great food and the lifestyle is a rollercoaster of fun, excitement and adrenaline all the time. They say Tokyo never sleeps and I can approve that 100%! Meiji did a great job in placing me at a great IT startup that helped me developing their European business branch from zero. At the beginning I was like, "Hold on, you want what?" and then I ended up bringing in the first clients after 4 months which sounds like a long time but considering the whole marketing campaign I made together with their designer team it was actually quick. The highlight of my internship was the trading convention the boss took me together to Okinawa, which I will never forget. Now looking back after this great time it is time to get back to my business degree as these people decided to hire me after my studies are done! I can't thank everybody more than enough and I recommend anybody to consider the Meiji experience as it changed my life! Literally!!! I should mention with a grain of salt that we had in the same host company at least 4 other Meiji interns at my time and two of them didn't work well with the working culture and stress in Japan... so before you choose to come to Japan I do recommend to know what you want as Tokyo can become sometimes quite extreme. For me I loved every second and would do it anytime again! Arigatou to Yanagida-shacho for your kind and strict guidance throughout my journey. Can't wait to be back!

My 3 months in Korea were simply a blast! The whole experience was amazing and Meiji Internships did make sure I was in safe hands throughout the whole process. From the application start all way to arriving at my apartment in Seoul. The staff did a great job making the whole experience as smooth and comfortable as possible. I was placed in a guest house and cultural tourist agency where I was exposed to an international environment helping fellow foreigners to get around Seoul. At the same time I was also able to discover all the hidden spots and foodie places that this great city has to offer. The whole internship passed by so quickly and I am really thankful for this very rewarding three months I had there. I made some business contacts while I was there and will be back for another internship next Summer. Khamsamnida Meiji!

I don't know where to start but this IT internship for the past three months was a game-changer for me! I have made so many contacts, developed my Java Script and C++ coding skills to the next level while networking with the local entrepreneurial crowd filled with international IT geeks, locals business man and even a few angel investors, Fukuoka just blew my mind! The best thing about Meiji was how much of a grip and connection they have in Kyushu and really know the whole local companies pretty much. I have hung out with the staff and fellow interns for a couple of dinners and food gatherings and I cannot intensify how much it is important to get out of your comfort zone.

I went to Tokyo to do this internship with one goal in mind; to get international experience that would make my CV shine amongst the rest. Anything else that came with it would be a bonus, and let me tell you there were a lot of bonuses! There were so many new experiences for me and I was definitely pushed way outside of my comfort zone (in the best way possible). Thanks to this, I’ve definitely found my feet in my profession as a business development consultant. Even if the internship isn’t particularly in your field of interest, I can’t recommend this program enough for all of the personal and professional development that comes with it. It is definitely a financial commitment though - Tokyo is not a cheap city, and to be honest I would recommend that you avoid cutting costs as much as possible - it’s an awesome city and you have to spend quite a few yen to have the best experience there. So be sure to save up enough before you get to Tokyo!

My internship experience in Taiwan was so good that I’ve turned into one of those really annoying people who never stop talking about their ‘unforgettable trip abroad’. For me that’s literally reality, because my trip to Taiwan was unforgettable. From the moment I stepped off the airplane, I somehow knew this was the place for me. It was at that point I really felt lucky to be working in such an amazing country! It’s definitely not easy to find an internship in Taiwan by yourself, and in fact a lot of the expats I met over there were amazed when I told them because the didn’t know they existed! Having Meiji take care of all the admin was so awesome, I felt like a VIP hopping off a plane and straight into a new job. The internship was with a real estate company operating in the outskirts of Taipei. They involved me in all of their projects and pretty much treated me like a normal member of staff. While some may see this as a no-mercy approach, this was exactly what I was looking for, and it gave me so much room to grow. I had no problems throughout my stay in Taiwan, but I knew if I did I could always count on Meiji to guide me through them. They couldn’t have provided a better service! I would recommend an internship abroad in any country - not just Taiwan. But if you do, don’t do it alone! I doubt any of this would have been possible without Meiji holding my hand throughout.

I’ve always been the type who enjoys the road less travelled, which is why I chose to do my internship in Hokkaido! Tokyo just doesn’t have that much of an appeal to me, its way too crowded, full of tourists, and too fast-paced. Hokkaido is the opposite of everything I just said! I worked with a small business locally-famous for it’s milk, (when I first tried it, I immediately understood why… Hokkaido milk is no joke!) which was an area of business I never imagined myself working in. Although I was working more on the admin side of things and never even touched a cow while I was there, I really enjoyed being in the presence of a group of people so passionate about their craft. They also really valued their workers, every morning we gathered for a short catch up talk and drunk milk together (I mostly used this as an opportunity to show off the Japanese I’d learnt) - you wouldn’t find that in Tokyo! Hokkaido is just awesome. The countryside is like being on another planet, yet you still have these bustling urban cities like Sapporo. I will say it’s not quite for the faint of heart though, the winters are pretty brutal and you should be prepared to have your life temporarily dictated by the weather. With that being said, I’d definitely recommend Hokkaido as an internship destination, and make sure to try the milk while you’re there!

I am a US born-and-bred Korean who had unfortunately never had the privilege of visiting my home country. It had been a dream of mine since a young age to finally go to Korea and reconnect with my roots, as well as my family! Once I graduated and found myself with a lot more freedom, I decided I would finally make the dream happen. I didn’t want to just visit though, I wanted to live, breathe, and feel Seoul! The best way to get into the groove of Soul life was to start working, but without any language ability it’s not so easy - so I got in contact with Meiji Internships! They offered me a company you cannot say no to, and the company was in a field that was related to my major. Best of all there were no language requirements! The work was in the industry of PR & Marketing, with a strong focus on social media platforms. I represented a company that deals Korean goods on the international market, and I found it really interesting to have to consider the ways to market cross-culturally! However the working hours were a standard 9-5, so don’t expect to be lazy. On my time off I took full advantage of Seoul and by the end I could really feel my Korean roots, I started to get a really strange feel of nostalgia even though I’d never lived in the country. I connected with a lot of my family, and learnt so much about my own heritage. This was such a moving, and meaningful trip for me!

When the time came to find an internship as part of my university degree, I joked around with the idea that I would do my internship in a paradise like Thailand. After a little research I found that this was definitely possible, and arranging it would be much easier than I had anticipated it to be. Fast forward a few months, and I’m lounging on a beach on the other side of the globe with a ridiculously cheap cocktail in my hand. If you’re asking me, there's no better way to spend your days off work! To avoid any misunderstandings, I wasn’t just lounging around for 2 months. The manufacturing company I worked with always kept me busy, and believe me sometimes I NEEDED those days of rest. Don’t think twice, give Meiji a shot!

Off the back of a terrible internship I did back home in Australia, I still felt as if I hadn’t really gained any work experience, so I searched abroad. Meiji’s services appealed to me for the professionalism (as well as all the fun the interns seemed to have had). I was so glad to find that this followed true with my internship, because they handled my case so professionally and efficiently, and I had so much fun! They placed me in the graphic design department of the local tourism board, and my main tasks were to design marketing materials to inform residents and tourists (both domestic and international) about events across the city. I felt that I thrived in this role and really gained a lot from it. Plus, I got to attend all of the events as part of my work, which was a much welcomed bonus! This internship showed me what true work experience is, and I’m glad I continued searching after my bad experience in the past.

I was lucky enough to do my internship at a resort on the outskirts of Fukuoka, the area was basically in the countryside but it still had a bit of a city vibe to it. I’m a big fan of the countryside, and being a bred-and-born city boy, there was a lot to discover. Seeing those tiny road-side vegetable shops that have no staff and rely purely on the honesty of people was definitely a highlight for me and a reminder why I love the Japanese culture so much! I will say, I’m definitely not a fan of those countryside spiders though (they’re HUGE). Working at the resort was a real pleasure. I think many of the guests were shocked to see a foreign face working in a countryside resort, but they were so kind and I loved answering all of their curious questions! There a few occasions were I was surprised to find that guests had gone out of their way to buy gifts for me, Japanese people are honestly so sweet. If you’re considering Japan for your internship destination, I absolutely recommend Meiji, and equally as much recommend the countryside!

Since I graduated it was my first experience to working, and so the internship in Tokyo really teached me what I need to learn and know. My coworkers were eat very nice and so helpful. Even I cannot speak Japanese, they are trying to understand what I am saying. I love Japan and want some work experience in a peaceful place, so this was a best option for me. Also the coworkers and the CEO was very open minded, its easy to adapt here!

After completing my bachelor in Hospitality and Tourism Management, I quickly realised that I had no real industry experience. I want to focus my career on hospitality abroad, primarily in Asia where I can play a role in bridging the gap between Asian culture and Westerners. So, I started looking for an internship in my dream country, Japan! I relayed this information to Meiji and instantly it seemed as though we were on the same page. I paid for the express option and they put all the pieces of my internship together in what seemed like an instant. They matched me with a hotel chain in Shinjuku, where we accepted probably 90% Japanese guests and 10% foreign. But much to my surprise, there were 2 fellow kiwi staff working there! I don’t know if this was intentional by Meiji but it was a great touch - it’s honestly near impossible to find anybody from New Zealand in Tokyo! As much fun as Tokyo is, it is also super tiring because it literally never sleeps. I mean, especially working in Shinjuku… stepping out of work at the end of your day into what seems like a huge street party, it’s hard to resist! As you can imagine I spent a lot of my time partying, going to bars, clubs, and enjoying the nightlife (of course in between all of the obligatory sightseeing). They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, and I can say this is definitely the case for my relationship with Tokyo <3

I would like to praise Meiji Internships for finding me the very high quality placement for my internship. I could ask them any question and they would address my problem. They always immediately to help me. Additionally, they helped us not only before the internship but also during it, and it is thanks to them because I got a great opportunity to see my dream city of OSAKA! My internship was with IT, and I helped my company with the IT tasks for their new product launch. Sometimes the work was a bit difficult but really I am not here for an easy time! Because it was difficult I felt that I could learn so much. To be specifically, I have now mastered Microsoft Excel, and also website softwares like Wordpress and Webflow. These are really useful experience to have, and can make the job finding really easier. I have dreamed of this city even when I was a child, so I could not believe to be working in there for 2 month. In this 2 month I had seen everything that is in Osaka, including my favourites which are the universal studios and also the aquarium which is so huge! It is also the best place in the world for food. I was scared that I would be miss the food of Spain, but I think now that I like Osaka food more than Spain hehehe. If you go to Osaka I advise you to try the okonomiyaki and the takoyaki, you can see it everywheree! If you dream to see Osaka and also experience, I advise you turn to Meiji Internships. I am certain they will help you and you will have the best time :]

As a busy university student, I had a lot on my plate and really had no time to be searching for internships abroad. Meiji was recommended to me by a classmate, and that’s how the journey began. Having that middle man that takes away the stress, time, and headache that comes with searching for an internship? That’s a godsend. I worked on the digital marketing for a student accommodation provider right in the centre of Seoul. It’s painful to admit, but I’m addicted to social media, so this was no problem for me! Also as an actual student I felt that I could really understand the needs of the customers, so I was definitely in my element there. The small team I worked with was extremely encouraging. They understood well that I came from a completely different culture, and they did everything they could to ensure I settled in to this new one. Together we worked hard in the office on weekdays, but partied harder in Hongdae on the weekends - what more could you want? Two thumbs up from me, if I could I’d give it three.

Lately I have really focused on the value of experiences, which was different to my old way of thinking, which was purely about money. When I first heard of unpaid internships, my first thought was, why? After my internship in Fukuoka I now fully understand, and I wouldn't hesitate to do another. I did an internship at a local recruiting agency, and you cannot put a price on the experience I gained from that place. My assigned role was to handle communications with foreign applicants, and as a native English this was absolutely no problem for me. I have also studied Japanese for many years in the past, so speaking Japanese with my colleagues is no issue for me. I enjoyed the work, but I will be honest and say it’s not my passion - although everything is a step towards finding your passion! Fukuoka is also a fantastic environment to do an internship in. It has all the best elements of Japan while also being a bit more on the laid back side of things, so it’s no where near as intense as Tokyo for example. For me, it was the perfect balance. This was a top quality internship, and it really unlocked new levels of potential for me!

On one hand, this was a great internship. On the other hand, it was terrible, but only for the reason that I grew to love Fukuoka so much and now have to leave :( My internship gave me the opportunity to work with a 5 star hotel. To be honest, I thought they were just going to stick me in front of a laptop for 3 months answering emails, but this was definitely not the case! I was actually given real tasks, and every day I experienced something new. I had a super supportive team and they genuinely cared about my personal development. I felt so lucky! Plus, probably the best part of it all, my boss would let me use the hotel’s sentō in the mornings :D After work I made every opportunity to enjoy Fukuoka, and I did so much! If you go there, you’ll be amazed by the sheer number of restaurants you’ll find. If I had to pull out one experience I enjoyed the most, it would be catching a baseball game at the Paypay dome. The atmosphere is incredible and it really makes you feel like a local Fukuokan! While I am bitter about having to leave Fukuoka, this is a place that will stay in my heart forever…

I’m shocked my internship ended so quickly, it literally was over in the blink of an eye. I guess that’s one way to say how awesome Tokyo is! I heard so much about all the food in Japan and I always thought, can food really taste THAT good? Well, yes, it can. Sometimes the food was so good I felt like I was dreaming. Everything is delicious, even the things that look terrible! My Italian ancestors will curse me for saying this, but my real guilty pleasure was the Japanese Naporitan… trust me just try it. Of course my time in Tokyo wasn’t all just about food, because I also interned at a super trendy startup that was launching a new fashion-based app. I was surprised that Meiji matched me with a company that was so close to my interests, because I live and breathe fashion! I was also surprised to see that the team was so young, many of them had only recently graduated university but seemed to have the talent of somebody with 20+ years industry experience. Needless to say, it was inspiring. I could go on for days about all the good things about Tokyo, but I’ll spare you the time - just go there! My internship was a life-changing experience, and I’m already planning my next escape back to Japan.

I’ll be leaving Seoul very soon and I’m sincerely going to miss my new life, friends, and memories here. Since I was young, I always knew I wanted to see South Korea, and when I finally touched down I was not at all disappointed in my decision. Luckily I already had a few friends living in Seoul, so they were able to show me around and introduce me to the culture. It is fascinating. Meiji made my trip so easy and comfortable. I wasn’t sure which package to go for, but decided to pay a little extra for the added comfort, so I went for their business package. I was spot on with this decision as everything from the accommodation to the airport pickup was perfect. I could always contact them if I had concerns too, which really put my mind at ease, Anyway, I will definitely be back soon.

My main reason for becoming interested in interning abroad came from being stuck in an entry level job that was not so motivational for me. I did my 2 month PR & Marketing internship in Singapore, where the people were great and I was actually learning something for once. The city is really good, and theres a lot to see and experience there. I feel that during the 2 months I got a good look at real life there, a lot of my time was spent in food courts to be honest! My only regret from this was spending much more than I had planned, so I couldn’t travel in Asia as I had planned.

Credit to Meiji for partnering me with possibly the best company I’ve ever worked with. Every day in the office was a day full of laughter (don’t get me wrong, we all worked hard) and the trips to the local bar as a team after working hours were just as fun. Best 2 months of my life, but now not looking forward to the withdrawal symptoms.

It was good for me because I can have the work experience in Japan and Asia even if I am not speaking the language. I had some fun and learned a lot and now my CV has some great experience to show to the employers. Perfect!

My 3 month internship in South Korea has now come to an end and all I can say is that I miss the country and the city of Seoul already! I had the chance to meet a lot of good people and I got along so well with my colleagues and supervisor. There’s nothing I want more than to return to Korea, so I’m now considering ways that I can return - I’m even considering the possibility of doing another internship there!

I don’t mean I did just work in Fukuoka, as I spent a lot of time travelling and enjoying the different aspects of Japan at the same time. The work was tough, but at the end I felt satisfied in the experience I had gained. I lived 20 minutes by bus from my work, so I should say that Meiji found me a really convenient apartment. However I do wish that it had a bicycle because everybody seems to use them in Fukuoka since they are so convenient. My top 3 favourite experiences in Japan was: eating motsunabe, doing karaoke, going to a maid cafe!

This program gave me the opportunity to build some relationships with professionals in their fields, and to learn about new technologies and above all experience the real Japan life with immersing myself into the Japanese culture

I think Meiji did a great job both before and throughout my stay in Japan. Thank you for always replying to my enquiries in a timely manner. Because of that I really easily solved many of my problems before arriving in Japan. Additionally, thank you for organising the events and language exchanges for us in Japan. It really helps with making new friends, which can be difficult as a foreigner in Japan. It was a really interesting experience for me.

Great program. As a foreigner trying to get to Japan alone, it was extremely tough. I was almost out of ideas on how I could take the leap into Japan without any existing network or knowhow. Luckily after doing some research I came across Meiji Internships. I had reached out and told them about my plans to come to Japan. All throughout they were very supportive and helpful while I was trying to coordinate myself and put together a solid plan. Long story short they helped me find an internship suited to my business skill and the company turned out to be the perfect fit! I owe Meiji so much because I would never have made a connection like that without them. I am now living and working in Japan and my plan is to do this for a long time.

Throughout my stay in Thailand I collected many experiences and dove into a new world. Not only was the new lifestyle and Thai culture completely different from my usual life, but also the way the company was structured and the business climate. It provided me with many new impressions. It was good how Meiji supported me with all the elements of my stay, like accommodation, important local information, and the actual internship placement. I had the opportunity to do a 3-month internship with an e-commerce company in the centre of Bangkok. I learned how to manage international business affairs, whilst also tackling more local challenges in the form of the Thai language.

Vietnam provide me lot of new experience and knowledge. Since I am coming here, i do not stop learning, and the information comes from everywhere not just from the work. The people of vietnam are all very friendly and like to help me. Environment is also really nice, so i am often go to do a walk in the evening and seeing the beautiful rivers and mountains. It is a such amazing experience.

Yeah, Tokyo is pretty damn cool. Living here felt like living in a movie, sometimes I would wake up and pinch myself because I couldn’t believe that I actually made it to my dream city. It goes without saying that I loved my internship experience here, there’s not much else I can say.

I had the most fun I’ve had in my life during my internship in Tokyo. I took away so many valuable lessons from my time but also from the people I was surrounded with. I learnt a lot about independence, being so far away from my family for a relatively long period of time. I saw so much in the city and I ate so much delicious food, it was a really enjoyable experience and gave me a great boost of confidence. I overcame my fear of solo travelling, and I felt reassured to always have help and support from Meiji when I needed it. Despite being thrown into the deep end from the very beginning, I found great enjoyment in my internship. I honed my skills whilst learning many new ones. I learned how to effectively network and handle myself working independently. I was in charge of many of my own projects and self-managing my time, it was a lot of fun.

Meiji did everything perfect, in terms of accommodation, sightseeing, my company… the wonderful staff did an amazing job. I can sense that they do what they do with passion, because it was clear they genuinely wanted me to have a good experience. I would consider this as a learning opportunity, I grew as a person and got a greater sense of responsibility. An internship helped me in my professional and personal development, and it also provided a much-needed break from my school studies. South Korea is a fantastic country, full of friendly people. I chose this country for this reason, as well as my love of their culture.

Vietnam is more beautiful than I had imagined. I find it incredible that Hanoi is such a bustling urban area, yet you’re able to find parks and lakes around every corner. The scenery wherever you go is just stunning. There are so many opportunities to fully experience the nature, with activities such as kayaking, hiking, and rock climbing. The support from Meiji throughout was great. They did a wonderful job introducing me to Vietnam, and provided me with everything I needed to do an internship there (as well as stay safe and comfortable). Without these people, my internship experience in Vietnam would have never been able to happen.

All I can say about my internship… what an experience. Hong Kong has my heart, I came here not knowing what to expect, but I can now tell you all to expect a lot. Seriously love this place. Big love to Meiji and my host company for taking care of me, and especially my company for being so kind when I would come into the office hungover from my all-too-frequent indulgences in the Hong Kong nightlife.

I completed an internship in Taiwan as part of my working holiday there. During the time I met a variety of business professionals, had alot of fun learning new skills and also made contacts which have invited me to work for them after my working holiday visa has ended. Meiji Internships offered a very professional service - they always went the extra mile to assure I was settled in. It was a great experience and one which leads me onwards towards my career goals and aspirations in Asia

My internship proved to be an experience that allowed me to develop in many ways. My company was very patient and they gave the space and time I needed to get familiar with my new role in a new country. They also gave me a lot of freedom with my work, so I could pour my passion into my work. In my time there I was able to complete a lot of work, and finished all my projects to a high standard. Above all, I learned that it is important to get to know the people you work with, as they can assist you in ways you wouldn't think you need. It’s also important to have fun, and also make time every day to do something you are personally interested in. These points are key to a good internship!

I had a great time in Japan thanks to my team, Meiji internships, and all the friends I made there. For me, a share house turned out to be a great option since I was able to make friends super easily. While it does take a while to adjust to the cultural differences of Tokyo, it is guaranteed to be one of the best cities you’ll ever visit - it is so clean and safe. I’ll be graduating soon so I’m now in the process of looking for a job in Japan, I must say that my internship with Meiji is making this process much easier and employers seem to be more interested.

Meiji made sure my transition into the working lifestyle in Thailand was as smooth as possible. During my time I was able to foster valuable relationships and create some unforgettable memories, all with the help of Meiji’s services. This is really a career-changing opportunity of a lifetime, so in my eyes Meiji Internships is worth every penny. I was more than happy with my program, and I will always stay grateful for the friends and memories I can take away from it. It was an all-around positive experience!

As both my first time doing an internship and my first time in Japan, this was a completely new experience for me. I worked with an independent stationary company, who were working with international clients. I was delighted to be working with native Japanese who could speak fluently in English, as my Japanese ability is zero to none. The work was always different and I was exposed to a lot of different aspects of Japanese business, plus we had many laughs! This was a fantastic experience.

Meiji Internships has definitely opened many new doors for my future career path. Throughout the pandemic this was one big headache for me, but Meiji were always informative and responsive throughout. Even before I arrived in Hong Kong, I knew I could count on them. Once I got the good news I could actually travel to Hong Kong, I wasted no more time and got on the plane as soon as possible. Again, I cant thank Meiji enough for the smoothness of their organisation during this hectic time. Once I arrived, I was welcomed with open arms and given the internship of a lifetime. I took a lot away form this internship and built a substantial network of key contacts. I’m looking forward to the future.

I really enjoyed my internship with Meiji Internships. My host company had a real family-like environment, where you’re treated as a person and not just a number (which is different from what I read about working in Japan). Aside from the work, I got the opportunity to experience so much of Japan. I did everything from ice skating in Roppongi to a kimono experience in Akasaka. I only wish I could’ve seen the cherry blossom, I will surely return some time just for that. Tokyo is the perfect city and with the support of Meiji I felt really comfortable living there.

Last year myself and my parents decided that I should take the plunge and go to South Korea to meet my internship requirement for my graduation, which would of course be in addition to some sightseeing. I’m glad I was able to hit two birds with one stone, because it was really an amazing experience despite all the complications (I went during the ongoing pandemic). The cuisine, the people, the culture… everything was spectacular. At the time it felt like a bit of a lost cause but it turned out that the timing was actually perfect, it was right at the time where I needed a small getaway from all the problems around the world. I’m thankful for Meiji allowing me this experience, and supporting me all the way through it.

Just a few months ago, I would have never believed that I could actually leave the country for an internship, let alone to somewhere like Japan. I had wanted to visit here since I was a child, so you can imagine my excitement when the opportunity arose. I definitely had an experience that I will remember forever, and my respect for Japan and all of its people has quadrupled. My internship in Japan really bolstered my CV, and I will definitely be considering future opportunities to work in this wonderful country. Definitely give this internship program a shot!

My internship in Seoul was an educational experience. I improved my professional capabilities and gained new skills. I was also presented with the opportunity to expand my professional network and make valuable connections. Overall I grew my professional career significantly. Beyond that, I learned about the unique culture and traditions of South Korea. It is truly an incredible country. I’d like to say thank you to Meiji Internships for providing me this chance to explore it. I will surely visit again, it has given me so much. This is a good option for anybody who is looking to grow their professional portfolio and experience a uniquely different culture at the same time.

The whole reason I wanted to intern in Asia was for the purpose of personal growth. It’s a place that requires a lot of perseverance and willingness to adapt, while also being the fastest growing continent in the world in terms of business. I took a specific interest in Hong Kong for the many business opportunities that can be found there, as well as the level of English proficiency that the vast majority of the population has. During my internship I worked within a small team, which really allowed me to work closely with my colleagues. Because of this they were able to teach me a lot, and I was properly involved in a number of important projects. This internship gave me the insight I needed to scope out the business world of Hong Kong, and also the confidence to handle myself in places far different to my home country.

Meiji were quick when responding to questions, and always gave the accurate information. They have very good company partners so I enjoyed working with the company. I think that Meiji Internships is a top rated organisation, so I would recommend it.

If you asked me any question about Taiwan a few months ago, I wouldn’t have been able to give you an answer. I was pretty regretfully ignorant towards Taiwan, and really unprepared for what it had in store for me. This internship gave me practical skills that can be used in real-life as well as the opportunity to develop and change on a personal level. There’s something about being a foreigner in another country - it’s like being on another planet. It felt like I’d been thrown into this far away land where nobody knew my name nor my story. Communication was often difficult but it was the struggles like this that really helped me develop. I not only learned a lot about Taiwan and Asian culture, but also a lot about myself. You could definitely say that working in Taiwan was an eye opening journey for me. I made friends and even more memories, I found new fascination for things I’d never even thought of before. Being in Taiwan really showed me true happiness, I believe that anybody and everybody would came back from Taiwan a happier person.

I went to Hong Kong for an internship to achieve the last of my university credits. Honestly I thought it was going to be a regrettable experience since I didn’t know the language, nor know anybody in Hong Kong. But actually it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The work was engaging and the people I worked with were always accommodating to my questions and opinions. The internship really made me want to pack my bags and move to Hong Kong for a long time. The majority of my downtime was spent exploring the vast jungle of back streets and finding all of the best places to eat. For anybody who is looking to get out of their comfort zone, try Hong Kong! It’s scary at first but ultimately very rewarding.

It was a long, long time in the making, but I’m so glad I was finally able to travel to Hong Kong. To be frank, reading the news that they had began to allow foreign visitors back into Hong Kong felt like a dream. I could hardly believe it myself! It’s only natural to be sceptical about an internship abroad (particularly in Asia, the other side of the world) when we’re talking about handing over money to a group of people you’ve never met before. This is how I felt at the start, but after some very friendly and reassuring Skype calls, I decided to trust my instincts and go with Meiji Internships. This decision really paid off, because I ended up having the internship of a lifetime in a city that demands your attention. I did some insightful work, met some interesting people, and gained worthwhile experience.

I spent my summer in Osaka for my internship, and got to travel around Kyoto, Nara, and Hiroshima. My time was spent traveling throughout kansai on my days off, and I was mostly working during my weekdays. I’ve met so many humble and amazing people who have been so kind to teach me many new things that have helped me improved my skills. Japan is one of my favourite places to visit now and my goal is to fully learn the language and maybe one day to move there for work in the long term if i get lucky.

This was my first time in Korea (and Asia in general) so it was pretty nerve-wrecking! However, what made it great was all the people I met, especially my colleagues. After enduring my quarantine period, my colleagues made sure I was comfortable in my new city and made me feel like I’d been born here! 3 Months in this country was so much more than I could have ever asked for, but I’m so glad I went through with it. Meiji Internships was definitely a huge help guiding me through the whole process, especially the quarantine (I found the system a little confusing). Great job for everything, I will always recommend Meiji!

Really happy I had the opportunity to visit South Korea to complete an internship whilst exploring all the best of the country. At first I was hesitant to even try any type of internship provider to help find me an internship but with so many reviews online, I felt pretty reassured going with Meiji. I can now say that they exceeded my expectations. The process itself was straight-forward and my point of contact was always kind and helpful. Honestly they helped me get through so many complications I experienced. All the way up to my arrival in South Korea, everything was smooth as possible. As for the actual internship in South Korea, I was so glad to have met a group of people that was so open to me. I learned a lot during my time there and I still keep in touch with them. Going to Thailand for an internship was a breath of fresh air, and I never knew I needed it so much! Meiji Internships did the best job possible making this happen, it honestly made all the difference for me.

If you want real valuable work experience, I definitely recommend interning with a Japanese company. The work culture particularly in Japan is so distinctly unique and you’re practically forced to adapt, which I think is great for building your character. I bonded well with my colleagues and engaged in some fun projects, and I had a straight-forward experience with Meiji.

This time 3 years ago I was stressing about my future since my planned internship in Japan had been cancelled due to covid. Looking back now, I’m weirdly glad it was! I finished my internship a couple of weeks ago and it was a truly unique time to be in Tokyo, there were no tourists and there were generally less people in the streets. This for me was perfect, Tokyo felt just right. I’m really glad I was lucky enough to experience this potentially once-in-a-lifetime version of Tokyo!

I just finished up my internship in Korea and in my opinion it was well worth doing for the experience. Without even considering all the fun I had in Seoul, it is so useful to carry this experience forward with me, and I’m sure it’ll have a real impact on my career. This is an easy 10/10 for me.

Everybody knows the classic go to Japan and fall in love with the culture, food, people story so I’ll spare you all the details, but my time in Osaka was honestly the greatest time of my life. My time was divided up by working and enjoying the chill vibes of Osaka, and I had plenty of time to do both! From start to finish I had not one issue, and this is thanks to the competence of Meiji and all of my colleagues. I’d highly recommend this program, and a word of advice - being Japan’s kitchen, you definitely won’t go hungry here so bring an appetite.

My internship in Vietnam was unforgettable for many reasons - good and bad! On the internship side everything was perfect from both the host company and Meiji, so I really have no complaints there. On the other side, breaking my wrist was not so fun - especially when I saw the hospital bill! Luckily I had insurance so I am not officially bankrupt, but I’ll take it forward as a lesson and pass it on to you - make sure you get insured.

I can’t begin to describe how helpful Meiji’s assistance was throughout these early stages of my career development. My eyes have really been opened to the reality of the global working market, and the ways in which you can really thrive across borders. Coming from a small village to the big city of Seoul was such a drastic transition, and I feel like I really needed it! Altogether I would say if you’re looking for an experience that will teach you more than anything else in life (more than university in my opinion), then you should get out of your comfort zone and do an internship in Asia.

The work was exactly what I was looking for and living alone in Tokyo taught me how to be confident. I was learning something new every day and I’m sure these are lessons I’ll keep with me long into the future. If there was ever a time I could go back, I would only do this much sooner, it was a really thought-provoking experience and I had a lot of opportunity to reflect on myself. After completing this internship I feel that I have really grown into a new person, and I’m looking forward to an ambitious career ahead of me.

I was surprised that I could intern in Korea as an option for my university credits, and I didn’t hesitate to say yes once Meiji accepted me into their program. I told Meiji exactly the type of internship I needed to qualify for my university credits, they said they’d do their best to accommodate and in the end they found me the exact internship I was looking for. Setting an internship in Asia up alone sounds like rocket science, but doing it with Meiji makes life so much easier. It was worth every dollar spent!

Everybody in Taiwan is so friendly, living there during my internship was so pleasant! I made good friends and even better memories, I’ll take this experience forward with me for years to come. My experience with Meiji was incredible. From the beginning of the process I felt taken care of and I was encouraged to follow my interests and really make the most of my time in Japan. It was not my first time in Japan, but I felt that I really didn't need any experience of living abroad / in Japan. Plus, if I needed help I definitely would have got all the support I needed. The internship itself was very rewarding, my day-to-day tasks were always different and because I was working in a small company, I was given a level of responsibility that I hadn't experienced in previous positions. The accommodation they found for me was clean and safe. Altogether, I had a wonderful time with Meiji and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get valuable work experience.

In order to graduate from my university, I was required to complete some form of internship. It never occurred to me that it was actually possible to do this abroad until it was suggested by a university advisor. I did some research and asked some people at my university, then I was pointed towards Meiji Internships. I’ve always been fascinated by Asia and all the different cultures there, so the thought of doing an internship sounded like a real adventure. I chose to do an internship in South Korea as I already knew a little bit about it already and I feel as if the lifestyle there would be good fit. Taiwan has got to be one of the best countries I’ve ever visited! Life here is so relaxed and worry-free, I’m considering a longer term future here after my Working Holiday Visa ends. I did a 3 month internship here with a finance firm, and really got a good grip on the ins and outs of Taiwanese working culture. The process was very easy as Meiji took care of everything for me (company arrangements, accommodation, SIM Card, etc.) so it really helped take away a lot of the stress of moving to another country.

My internship with Meiji Internships in Thailand was really fun and exciting and I learnt a lot. I had a lot of opportunity to work as well as do some tourism around the country so I always stayed busy. It is a very international place so I made friends from all around the world, everybody was very friendly.

I completed my internship in Osaka last week, and am now reflecting on one of the best times of my life. The city is amazing, it has everything you need (good food and good people). The host company treated me like part of the family, and I got on really well with everyone there. For a couple of them I was the first British person they had ever met, so it was quite amusing to answer all their strange questions about British culture. Meiji Internships were a pleasure to deal with, they made everything simple and everything was done with no funny business. With this in mind, it’s a really cost-effective solution and you get great value for money.

The internship in Korea was a really good time of my life. It was the first time ever in Korea for me, and being there for to do the work made it so special. I think it is hard to work in Korea without an internship, so I would suggest to do one if you would like to find a job. My host company was a really good one and I had a lot of enjoyment doing the work, therefore at the end my boss invited me to join the company for real at the end of this year! I did the internship from Meiji Internships in Korea working with the advertisng business. It was really fun to see what is the real Korean life like everyday, and I can say that I really enjoyed it! I had no problem with Meiji and everything was like what they said, so it is definitely something that I recommend. It was fun!

Hokkaido is a place best experienced slowly, it’s so wide and vast that you really have to take your time. With that in mind, I used my internship here as a chance to slowly but surely travel throughout the island over the span of 3 months. I will say that Hokkaido isn’t for everyone, it is slightly difficult to travel around (especially if you don’t drive) and the winters are unforgiving. However if you’re a nature-buff like myself you’re in for a real treat. My work schedule wasn’t nearly as intense as I had anticipated, so I had plenty of time to enjoy Japan whilst also gaining valuable work experience. Altogether I’m very happy with my experience. If I could go back and do one thing differently, it would definitely be to pack more winter clothes!

When I started looking for an internship, I still had no idea what I wanted to do in the future career-wise. I used the internship as an opportunity to taste the working life, but also wanted to taste life abroad at the same time. The internship with Meiji essentially killed two birds with one stone, and I found my passion in the process. Working on PR & Marketing projects for an advertising agency showed me the fun in incorporating creativity into business. Dealing with Meiji was a flawless process, I didn’t face one problem. This is a top quality internship.

Like many of us, I had been waiting way too long to go to Japan. The pandemic put an unwelcome stop to my dream, so I was desperate for a way to get there! I have to be honest, I learned that an internship was one of the ways you could go to Japan, so that was my whole purpose of doing it at first. However, retrospectively I can say that I really enjoyed it, and that Meiji were fantastic throughout the whole thing. It gave me a good taste of real life in Japan, and basically my dream of living in Japan only grew stronger.

My internship in Vietnam gave me the opportunity to learn not only all about the world of Vietnamese business, but also Vietnamese culture. Both are elements you cannot learn without actually being in Vietnam, so I’m over the moon with my experience and would absolutely recommend Meiji to everybody considering an internship in Asia.

An internship in Tokyo has got to be one of the best ways to gain experience in the field of fashion, simply because (besides Seoul) it is one of the leading cities for innovative designers. At first I was slightly worried about doing an internship here because I read about the tough working culture in Japan, but my experience was very different - it may be because the company was relatively young, but regardless I was surprised! My work really boosted my portfolio, and having the experience in a city like Tokyo really makes me stand out - I would 100% recommend!

Doing an internship in Korea was definitely one of the better decisions I’ve made in my life. I was relying on Meiji to deliver a fault-free internship with suitable accommodation and a quality host company - they did exactly that. I worked with a cosmetics brand based in central Seoul which in the beginning was not my particular field of interest to be honest, however I quickly fell in love with it. In the end I managed to get some really useful work experience, so I couldn't be happier.

I did my virtual internship with a fashion boutique based in Taipei, managing and directing all of their social media platforms. I can say I had a lot of fun with this, as they gave me total creative freedom, and to my surprise entrusted me with a lot of responsibility. In the end I bonded very well with all the staff and they seemed very happy with my performance. Once the pandemic has totally died down I do plan on going to Taipei, and we have already discussed the possibility that a full-time job may be on offer! This is all thanks to Meiji!

I completed a internship in Thailand with the small robotics company, who had some really exciting work and very intelligent employees. They became my best friends when I was at Thailand, and we had really good morale in the work. Meiji Internships made the internship for me and it was really perfect in my opinion. I will recommend!

My time in Taiwan really introduced me to all the best aspects of the country, and I can now say hands down that it’s the best country in the world. The people are amazing, the infrastructure is great, the food is fantastic… even if it’s not for an internship, I would urge everybody to visit sometime. Meiji did a great job putting together my internship in Taiwan. The host company was an absolute dream to work with, the work was fun and I was relieved to know that I could have a proper laugh everyday with my English-speaking colleagues. The apartment they put me in was also great, super central location and surprisingly spacious. Loved every minute of my internship!

As they say, time flies when you’re having fun. My internship in Korea absolutely flew by! I worked as a Media Marketing Manager for a sunglasses business in Seoul for three months, it was honestly such a blast. On my last day, they gave me a pair of sunglasses I’d been eyeing up for a while, it was such a lovely touch. Absolutely amazing people! My primary reason for doing an internship in Japan was to experience the real working life there. As a westerner we hear a lot about how strenuous and difficult life can be for everyday working adults in Japan, but my experience was far from that! I was working Mon-Fri 9-5 and the work itself was very interesting to me, so I felt absolutely no stress during my entire internship. Osaka was a great city to get to know too, with so many interesting characters and some really unique food. I made this decision pretty suddenly after I heard about a friend’s experience doing a similar thing. Even though it seemed like a big undertaking Meiji made it simple and pretty much did all the heavy lifting for me, so I was able to have it sorted and ready in a short amount of time. As you can probably imagine Tokyo is a very unique city and I felt like for me personally there was a lot of room to grow my character. I will take the many things I learned there forward with me for a long time and I will absolutely keep in contact with all the people I met during my time there.

I finish my internship in Tokyo from Meiji Internships recently, and it was the top experience of my life. I met many fun interesting people and had some of the amazing memories. The city is like art for me, really! I did some good work and can have the experience to take forward for my future - I will recommend Meiji Internships!

If theres anything I felt after leaving Seoul, it was jealousy. Seriously, I’m so jealous of people living their daily lives in that amazing city - you can be sure it’s a goal of mine for the future. My internship with Meiji was awesome. They pulled out all the cards and really made it a special time for me. I can’t count the amount of times I’ve been to Thailand but I have enjoyed every single time. This time was a little different as I was visiting for work purposes, and it really showed me Thailand in a different light. I really enjoyed my time working there and leaving all the friends I’d made behind was no easy task. I’m now definitely considering a future there if possible!

During my internship in Vietnam I worked with an international imports and exports business. I especially enjoyed this as it meant I was exposed to not only Vietnamese culture, but I was able to actively engage with businesses around the world. Meiji put the internship together really well - everything was always clear and they met all their requirements as an internship provider. As a result, I would highly recommend their services.

Meiji Academy gave me major family vibes, coming to class was like coming home hahaha. The staff are all so lovely, and I loved our little chats before and after the lessons. They all seemed so keen to make sure my first time in Japan was as fun as possible, so they kept me updated with any upcoming festivals, told me all the best places to eat, helped me with any of questions etc. I really got on with the teachers too, they understood that I am generally pretty slow when it comes to learning languages, so they broke things down into easily digestible pieces for me. It made learning such a breeze, and I conquered so much during my stay. By the end, I was able to talk in only Japanese when I was at Meiji! If you’re looking for a comfortable way to learn Japanese, this is it!

As part of my fashion degree I wanted to get some experience working with foreign fashion companies to widen my creativity. Korea was definitely a good choice for this as I think they have some of the most forward-thinking fashion houses in the world. I was exposed to some really interesting projects and I learned so much. Seoul was absolutely fantastic too, even the city itself looks fashionable!

My 3 months in Kyoto were the perfect balance of travelling and work. I had always wanted to travel to Kyoto, but I didn’t want to leave such a big gap on my CV whilst travelling. The internship was the perfect solution for me, as I could do both at the same time. Meiji arranged for my internship with a local ryokan, which was honestly one of the most amazing places I have worked in my life. Kyoto is just as magical as it seems to be, it feels so authentically Japanese and I’ve really never been to a place like it.

Japan is a country that is best experienced from the ground-level, living there for a relatively longer period of time and experiencing the day to day happenings of everyday life. My internship allowed me to do that over the course of 3 months, and it showed me a completely new side of Tokyo. I will definitely miss the konbinis, the kind people, the cleanliness, and the excitement of this city, plus working alongside some of the most interesting individuals I’ve ever met. There are definitely a few things I will not miss though (hot, sweaty, crammed subways). The internship was put together really well by Meiji, couldn’t recommend it more!

I wanted to focus my work experience towards social enterprise, and Vietnam is one of the best destinations to do this. I worked with a small business that was targeting towards the agricultural industry. All the colleagues seemed like a family, so it was a really nice place to work at. I learnt a lot and they exposed me to many things I would have never imagined to see. It’s a super beautiful country too, it was feeling like a holiday at some times.

Loved every minute spent in Vietnam and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back again. Of course I went for an internship but I still took every opportunity to have fun and party! It’s ideal for those on a budget too, given how cheap everything is there. You can definitely get by experiencing a lot without spending anything significant, so it was great for a student such as myself. A big thank you to Meiji and my lovely host company for making me feel welcomed in Vietnam!

My internship was with Meiji Internships and they gave me the company based in Tokyo. I worked mostly for the social media things and I helped with some things on the website. It was actually fun work that I enjoyed doing everyday, plus it was my first time in Tokyo so I was having a lot of fun on my day off. This was really a great internship!

I finished up my internship in Sapporo recently, and I can definitely look back and say that I had the best 3 months of my life. The work, the people, the food, the (extreme) weather. Everything was perfect if I’m honest! If you want solid work experience, do an internship. If you want even better work experience, do an internship abroad in a place you’d never picture yourself in!

I just finished my internship in Tokyo, and all I can say is that it was a surreal experience. As the borders are still not open for tourists, I felt like I got a really unique perspective of Tokyo. Of course it was still crowded, but it felt so much more authentic. Meiji’s partner host company seemed very excited to have an intern coming onboard, we all bonded very quickly and I immediately felt comfortable working with them. The projects were fun and actually meaningful, and I came away with some experience that will look excellent on my resume. Awesome!

We see Korea a lot on TV, YouTube, Netflix, but you have to go there to understand why it is an amazing country! I really enjoyed my days there, and also the company that I worked with. They treat me like the real member of staff, but also were really kind when I did not know things. I really recommend Meiji and Korea! Also if you go there, I suggest to try the Italian food, it is a bit different but surprisingly very good :)

Living and working in Korea was top of my bucket list for a long time, thanks to Meiji, the dream finally materialised. I worked with an independent fashion business in central Seoul, primarily dealing with their PR. It was honestly an invigorating experience, I was able to hone my skills whilst picking up new ones, and I networked with some very interesting people. Korea is just as I imagined (i.e. incredible) so I’ll definitely be returning in the near future. Thank you Meiji for putting together the perfect internship!

I had been planning to gain some work experience with a Chinese company for the past couple years, but of course as we know the borders are still currently impenetrable. I caught wind of virtual internships from a university fair, and once I started I never looked back. From home I could access the work experience I was so patiently waiting for, and I have to say it was probably much more convenient than actually going out there. I managed to skip over the language barriers, homesickness, all the costs of living and travel - it’s easy to see why I’m happy. Yes it was virtual but I definitely worked on some real projects, and it was not easy! Meiji were so easy to work with, they put together the internship in no time and they did a great job in the process. For this reason I’d recommend them if you’re looking for a similar experience I had. All I can say is if you want to do an internship, always consider doing it with a company overseas, it will really give your resume a boost.

My internship experience in Thailand was the stuff of dreams. After my consultation with Meiji I was matched with a company that ticked all the boxes in terms of my interests, so when I eventually started working in Thailand it was really enjoyable! The best part about interning in Thailand is everything else that comes with it, I’m talking beach parties, jungle hiking, beautiful sunsets, really kind locals, and so much more. It’s definitely somewhere I see myself staying in the future, and my internship experience will definitely help make that a reality. I absolutely adore this country and am so thankful for Meiji’s help in setting up this internship.

For me Thailand was a great place to truly find myself. Having to maintain yourself living independently in Asia is quite a challenge, and just through that you learn a lot about yourself. When combined with an engaging internship such as the one I did, I can say that every minute I spent in Thailand brought some form of value to me. After my time there I found my real passion and formed a clear vision of how I’d like to live my life for the coming future - this in my eyes is a priceless form of education! I cant recommend this enough.

Thank you Meiji Internships for such a good internship in Seoul. I really learn so much and it is perhaps the most fun of all my life! If you have never been to Seoul it will maybe shock you, because it is so big! Everybody is really nice and plus the fashion is so good. I ate many traditional Korean food which I think is just the best, you will really have a great time.

Singapore is such a good place for an internship, its full of smart young professionals, and some of the most talented expats I’ve met in my life. It’s really a place you can learn a lot and grow at your best potential. It’s also just an amazing city, there’s a lot of fun to be had and you can very easily get by with just English. I became close friends with my colleagues and we still keep in touch to this day - I’m looking forward to being welcomed back to Singapore by them next year! Thank you Meiji, honestly a painless experience throughout and I can confidently say I can put my full trust in you!

This was not my first time in Osaka but I fell in love with it again as if it was my first time. The city is so vibrant and the people are enviously happy, the food is out of this world, and wandering the streets is like wandering a movie set. I left here feeling a deep sense of jealousy to be real. My internship was with a small design company, and I was tasked with taking charge of some important projects. I had no problems throughout the application process, and my transition into Japan was seamless - safe to say I have no complaints!

I chose my internship in Tokyo as I wanted to gain work experience that was different in some form from everybody else, and I was given a truly unique experience that will absolutely set my CV apart from the rest. Work aside, I do believe that Tokyo is a city that can be enjoyed by anybody, and you have to visit at least once in your life. Meiji were a pleasure to deal with and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat.

Moving to Japan alone for an internship is about as difficult as you could imagine, but for that reason it is a great opportunity to develop yourself on a personal level. You're forced to adapt in almost every way, and some form of challenge awaits you on every day that passes. I had a lot of fun with my host company and made some very valuable connections, with the solid network I built in Tokyo I hope that there are more opportunities down the line. If you’re looking for an experience that will set you apart from the rest, you’re looking in the right place!

Tokyo is a real cool city with some amazing people. I worked on graphic design for a small clothes business and it was really fun! it is really like a family in the end, we always laughed and joked everyday. Meiji did the work to a very high quality, they made everything perfect and there was not even a problem one time. If I did it again, next time I will try another city in Japan because I want to experience them all.

Losing my wallet within a week of my arrival was definitely not the best way to start my internship, but the rest of my time there genuinely made up for it. Waking up in Seoul everyday was pretty surreal as I’d been waiting so long for it, and within my 6 months there it never got old. It definitely feels like a young city, and everywhere felt very on-trend. It’s the kind of city that can be very cheap if you know which places to go to (as a general rule of thumb, look where the students go) If you’re looking for an internship where you can laze around this is not it. I worked regular hours and worked on real projects, which is exactly what I was looking for. My team were incredibly supportive and made my time in Korea even more memorable. I wouldn’t say I’m conversational in Korean but I know a fair amount. I would highly recommend taking the time to learn some Korean if you can, it’s not a necessity but it definitely comes in handy and honestly makes the experience so much more enjoyable.

My internship in Thailand gave me some great work experience that will help me with my future career. The place I worked was a mixture of native Thai and international expats, which was great for me as a non-Thai speaker. The work was hard and we were involved with a lot of projects, but after work we always had fun and enjoyed the Thai experience. It is a very affordable place so you can expect to do a lot without spending so much money. It is definitely a place that anybody can enjoy. Meiji gave me a suitable service that was recommended to me by a previous classmate, and I would also recommend this to others.

Seriously, what an internship! Meiji put together an internship that I can honestly say I had no faults with. The accommodation for starters was fantastic, it was smack bang in the middle of the city and roughly 20 minutes from work. This meant that getting to and from work was easy, as well as getting home from those inevitable late-night drinking sessions.

I studied at this excellent school for some weeks, and it was really great for my learning of Japanese. We learned all the basics and some very useful things to say in Japan life for example words at the supermarket. I also had a lot of fun in Fukuoka and ate many delicious foods, it is a really great city. It was a useful experience and I think that I would recommend this for anybody.

I completed my PR & Marketing internship after 3 months in Fukuoka, Japan. It’s a great city with so much opportunity and entrepreneurial spirit, it really feels like it is the best place possible for a young individual like myself who is in the midst of starting a career. My host company was on the smaller side which was definitely my preference, because it meant I could work very closely with my colleagues, and also get to know them on a personal level. They quickly became my friends and they were keen to show me the culture of Fukuoka outside of work hours, I can’t thank them enough for this! If this internship could be summed up with one word, it’d definitely be “rejuvenating”. My career was in a bit of a slump, and I have to admit it was hard to get things going again. With that in mind an internship seemed like a good option - it would bulk up my CV, as well as give me just the right dose of inspiration. Meiji were so easy to deal with, I was expecting the process of sourcing an internship abroad to be one big headache, but I’m grateful to say that is far from reality. Korea is without a doubt the best country I’ve ever visited, if you ever visit you will soon understand why. Given the situation the world was forced into a few years back, I had to wait a while before I could go but really the wait made the experience so much better in the end. I had fun every minute of every day, and I’m having severe withdrawal symptoms… The internship was perfect for me. I got on very well with my company as well as Meiji’s team, so it felt as if I was in good hands from both sides. My internship in Vietnam was a good exposure to a new and very interesting culture. I did my internship with Meiji Internships who helped me arrange everything I needed, that includes the accommodation, the company, help with all the documents, SIM cards, and everything else. My colleagues at the company were really helpful for my time in Vietnam, they showed and taught me a lot about the culture of Vietnam. My internship in Tokyo with Meiji Internships was an experience I am grateful I can carry forward into my professional life. Initially, I couldn't have been more anxious as a first-timer in Japan, but after settling down and meeting all my amazing colleagues it became home. In the process I made a lot of useful connections and I’m now considering a future running my own business in Fukuoka! Working in Thailand is really good for people who need unique work experience and also want to enjoy life at the same time. The internship was very useful to me and I got a lot of experience. Everybody was very friendly all the time and I had some really memorable experiences! Very highly recommend it!

Meiji Internships set up my internship in Thailand with a local agricultural company, working to begin the process of exporting their goods overseas. As a native English speaker, the role was practically made for me, so I felt very valued in the work I did - the host company were very grateful to have me! I felt as though I had a real impact on the business and its progress. On my days off I was making the most of everything Thailand has to offer, in many ways it felt like a long holiday that I did not want to end. Doing an internship was a necessary part of my university course, and I knew I wanted to do something different. I would absolutely recommend Meiji Internships to anybody considering an internship in Japan, it’s hassle-free and you honestly save yourself a lot of time and headache. Fukuoka is such a good city, its criminally underrated. It feels like one of those cities where everybody is on the same wave, it’s super easy living and everyone is so happy! I was working with some real die-hard Fukuokans who were eager to show me everything about their culture, which included a lot of good food. The whole experience was fantastic, my highlight would definitely be surfing in Itoshima! Meiji were great throughout, so can’t be faulted really.

It was the first time in Korea but I will hope that it is not the only time in Korea! My internships was working on the small company who became my friends. It was a good introduction for the culture of Korea and i experienced many great things! I think that meiji was very good at finding the internship and also giving the accommodation, it was really super. I would recommend meiji.

Tokyo is a city you need to live in rather than visit to fully enjoy, its huge! I’d visited on vacation a few years back, but of course, even with 2 weeks I could barely scratch the surface. Actually living in Tokyo gave me the opportunity to see everything (even if I was still discovering something new everyday) and trust me there was a lot to see! The internship was very fulfilling in the end, I did some great work and met some wonderful people I hope to stay in contact with for a long time. Meiji put me up in a great apartment and basically set up everything I needed for easy living. 10/10 for me!

Everybody needs to visit Vietnam at least once in their life, it’s so beautiful and there’s really no place like it. Decided to do an internship in Korea on a whim really. Was fed up with the monotonous life during covid so basically needed something new, and my interest in Korean culture inspired me to head over there. If I’m honest the living in Korea was more important than the actual internship itself initially, but in the end I really enjoyed working with the company I was partnered with and I learnt a decent amount. Meiji were class throughout the whole process too, they were always very easy to deal with.

The internship in Tokyo was not just only good for the experience at works but also it was really a fun time. If you have never been it is feeling different every day in many different ways but it is a good thing. My internship in Korea was very high quality. I spoke with Meiji who explain the process to begin the internship, and I can say that actually they did everything they told to me. Meiji did everything promised and more! The communication with them was always clear and reliable, and they really cared for us and made our stay in Fukuoka one to remember. It’s easy to see they don't just choose any business to partner with, as my host company was probably the best I could’ve ever worked with. Fukuoka was a great stop on our 1-year itinerary, and the 3-month internship I did was fantastic. I’m not sure how the rest of Japan compares, but the food here is crazy good… hakata ramen might just be the best thing to come from this country. I came here with my best friend 3 months ago, as we both decided that we wanted to get some real work experience in Japan. We came with the working holiday visa and both chose Meiji to arrange an internship for us to cover the first 3 months of our stay. As our interests are in different industries, we weren’t working in the same company, but we spent every day after work together and from what I heard her internship was just as great as mine. The staff at my company were so sweet and they made my time in Fukuoka so special, I’m really going to miss them going forward but I’ll always be grateful for all they did for me. My internship finished today but I’ll be in Japan for another 9 months, I’ll definitely be back in Fukuoka some time soon!

My internship to Vietnam was made special by all the Vietnamese people who I think are the best people in the world! They were very kind and always made the smile on their faces, every day I was really feeling happy. I worked with the small company dealing with trading, so it was some good experience. They seemed to be very excited with a French person, some of them have never meet a French person before, sometimes I feel like a celebrity lol! Very good internship provided by Meiji I will always recommend!

Seoul - what a city! Having visited here on a compact trip around Asia many years ago, I’d always planned to come back. With this in mind I thought the best way to experience Seoul would be to get some work experience there, to get a ground-level experience of life in Seoul. Meiji made this dream a reality and set me up with the perfect internship. Everything was flawless, the apartment, the host company, the application process, really it couldn’t have been better. Couldn't recommend this program enough, and as an added tip if you’re in Seoul, you HAVE to go hiking in the neighbouring mountains… I’ll never forget those sunset views.

I came to Tokyo to gain some experience working in the fashion industry, for me it feels like the perfect place to do fashion. It is a very stylish city so I was inspired every day, just walking in Shibuya was really inspirational. I told Meiji what I wanted to do and they took care of everything else. They got me a suitable host company and gave me an apartment that was pretty close to it. Tokyo is easy to get around if you use the subway or a bicycle, so even if you’re a little far I would not worry about it. On my days off I really enjoyed Tokyo, people say it’s a really expensive city but I thought that if you try you can live cheaply. However some things you should definitely try even if it is a little expensive, especially when it is food!

Really good time in Seoul that I will remember always. Plus the friends I found we are still talking today! What a great time of the life :) Recommended to everybody who thinks to do the internship in Asia.

I believe that if you intend to do an internship, you should most definitely travel abroad for it. It’s an incredible opportunity to experience a completely new environment, and in most cases later in life, your chance to do so will be pretty small. My time in Singapore was great, It’s an extremely interesting country that blew my mind every day. It’s also a great place for young professionals, the company I worked with was a relatively new startup and it felt like many of the employees were in the same stage of life as me. Maybe it’s just me, but I prefer this as I tend to learn a lot more from people I can relate to. Meiji sourced me an apartment that was literally 20 minutes from the office, and also located in the centre so I didn't waste any time commuting. I will say however that Singapore is pretty expensive at times, so do your research and make sure to save some money beforehand.

Visiting Vietnam was a reminder why I love to travel. It's an amazing culture! The people are probably the nicest I have ever met and everybody made the trip so special; plus the food was cheap and so delicious. My company worked in tech so it felt very modern, the workforce was young and everybody was professional, it was an inspiring place to work in honestly. I learnt a lot of new things that I believe will make my future career even greater. Thank you!

If you’re thinking of going to Japan, I highly advise you do something different! Tokyo and Osaka are great, but you can’t beat the rolling snowy hills of Hokkaido. I did my internship here after a recommendation from a friend, and I worked with a small firm operating in Sapporo. The work I did was definitely work haha, so I was surprisingly busy. As an intern this is a good thing though - I racked up plenty of experience. When I wasn’t working I was exploring the beautiful Hokkaido. As a Canadian the tonnes and tonnes of snow was no problem at all, but for those who aren't so familiar with these conditions I’d advise you come prepared. I would also advise you at least bring an international drivers license as a lot of the best places here are buried deep in the countryside, so in most cases you will need to drive. I really hope I can return to Sapporo soon, and meet all those amazingly kind people again! Much love, Luke

For the first time I was in Singapore but i dont think its the last! My internship company made it the best trip I have ever been, and it is something I will never forget. Meiji is really the best internship company to choose because they made all this happen. They were always helping my questions and made sure that the internship was good! I wasn’t too sure what to expect going into this as both my first internship and my first experience in Asia. In the end it became an experience I’ll never forget, and it’s all thanks to Meiji. I first contacted them with a few speculative questions, but very quickly I grew obsessed with the idea of interning in Seoul, and a few months later I was actually doing it. The business development internship I did gave me some real key experience I felt my resume was missing, so in that respect I can say it was worth everything. All around, awesome experience and I cannot recommend Meiji enough.

So I finally ticked living in Japan off my bucket list - all I can say now is what an awesome experience! From the moment I touched down at the airport to the moment I left the tarmac upon my return, every living breathing moment I was fascinated by something/everything. Tokyo is really as exciting as they say. As a side note, I am abnormally tall (think 6’5”) so I very quickly had to get used to walking down the street and having everybody stare at me hahaha. I’m sure that was all with good intentions. To keep things brief, my internship was super engaging and I came out feeling like a new person, and my resume now looks pretty darn solid if you ask me. Interning in Thailand is like… interning in Thailand. Seriously it's just as you’d imagine. I had so much fun in this crazy country it’s hard to believe I was working. I will admit the tropical climate had me on the ropes in the beginning but I came to love life here so much I genuinely struggled to come home. I’d recommend interning here but also would recommend against it, because in the end wherever you return to you’ll be hit with the inevitable post-Thailand depression. Meiji were fantastic throughout the whole process - they addressed all my concerns and queries, went the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable at all times, and in the end arranged a great host company and apartment for me. So really they couldn't have been better. I will most definitely be back in Thailand very soon.

I came to Korea for doing the internship in my industry I chose. Everyday the work was a challenge, but when I was doing it I was making so many friends and experiencing the culture to the most. I had a really good time! Meiji is a really good internship business!

Thank god for the Working Holiday Visa ;D I arrived in Tokyo after what felt like an eternity and started my internship with a clothing manufacturer. My plan was to travel around Japan for the year, but dedicate the first month to gaining some work experience (I guess to kind of balance things out?) The internship was awesome, I met so many talented young professionals and made some very promising connections, just the people around me really inspired me everyday. Tokyo is as big and exciting as I imagined, you can't properly appreciate the scale of it until you’ve been here tbh. One thing I will say is that there are definitely 4 seasons here, so be prepared for some very cold winters (I learnt the hard way). Hands down, best time of my life. Really looking forward to what the rest of the year brings.

My goal was to rack up some form of work experience in Asia, but with my terrible linguistic skills I wanted to go somewhere with relatively high English proficiency. Singapore fit that criteria as in the end I didn’t have one issue with language. I did a finance related internship which really proved to be valuable in my post-internship job search. A lot of finance firms these days are looking for applicants with international experience, especially in countries with economies of interest. Singapore itself has a lot of expats, so my workplace was very international and I was exposed to a lot of different cultures. This also makes it a great place to network, I even surprisingly ran into a few people from close to my hometown. The communication with Meiji was always good and timely, and they fulfilled all of the promises they made. Honestly couldn’t make any complaints!

Like most lads my age I had previously been backpacking in Thailand, and fell in love with this paradise. My time there only left me curious to experience more, and see what the life beyond backpacking looks like. I chose to do an internship working with an auto export business, who Meiji linked me up with. I hadn’t known prior that this was actually one of Thailand’s main industries, so everyday the work came flooding in. It allowed me to see from an inside perspective how these firms operate, which was useful as I plan to run my own export business in the future. When I wasn’t working I was exploring Thailand, which as we know is a very cheap country. I saw many of Thailand’s amazing places and met many of their amazing people, but honestly my best memories are just renting a motorbike and cruising along the coastline. Meiji arranged for me to stay in a nice little apartment, it was super cosy and very quickly felt like home to me. It was honestly pretty hard to leave that life behind in the end. Definitely recommend Meiji Internships!

I studied tourism with the aim of working in overseas in the hotel industry, but as you can imagine it had been difficult to find real work experience overseas with the whole pandemic situation. This however did give me a lot of time to reflect on my next move, and within that time I set my sights on South Korea. Once the borders opened up I got in touch with Meiji who very quickly set up my internship with one of the top hotels in Seoul. I didn’t want to waste any further time so I selected the fast track option, so I imagine my case was sorted much quicker than usual. Once I arrived in Seoul life was much easier than expected - most things you need will have some English translations, otherwise people are generally very friendly and happy to help. The day-to-day work kept me busy and I found it very interesting. I worked at the hotel for 3 months and was able to see many different parts of the business function during this time. The hotel was relatively luxurious, so I was able to see high-level operations first-hand for the first time. Given that I didn’t know any Korean, the hotel was very fortunately an international hotel so I had no issues. This has been an eye-opening experience that is sure to benefit my future career. For me interning in Osaka was not easy (for all the right reasons). The city is just TOO fun, balancing a working life with the nightlife really caught up to me xD Meiji helped me find an internship working with an international consulting firm based in the heart of Osaka, which worked out perfectly for me. My Japanese ability is non-existent but given the fact the business was international, I was surrounded by plenty of English speakers who often helped me out. Meiji also provided the private apartment I stayed in, luckily it was literally a stones-throw from the office (very handy for those slightly hungover mornings). If you’re considering an internship in Japan all I can say is enjoy it to the fullest, you never know if you’ll be able to experience a life like this again! 100% would recommend Meiji

Aside from being an incredible holiday destination, I never knew Vietnam was a great place to start a career. I chose to do my internship here just because I had always been interested in the country, but little did I know it would change the course of my life. I was pretty open when it came to deciding which industry I wanted to work in so in the end I picked business development as it’s so varied. Meiji placed me with a local coffee producer, and as a caffeine-addict this was something I couldn’t refuse. The day-to-day work was really interesting because I was able to learn a lot about the coffee industry and the production process itself, as well as drink A LOT of coffee! The workplace had a good mixture of young and old people, so I was able to mingle with a lot of different vibes. Meiji’s accommodation was very ideal in my case, it was probably walking distance but I chose to cycle to work every day which took around 10 minutes. Looking back on this time feels really nostalgic as I was so new to the working world in Vietnam, it really inspired me, to the extent that I am now working full time in Vietnam and plan to stay here indefinitely. Thank you Meiji!

Like many other people I waited a long time to get to Japan due to the border restrictions. With that being said I have no regrets about the fact I waited, this was truly one of the greatest experiences of my life. I heard about Meiji after speaking to one of my university advisors, and their program sounded like it was made for me. We had a few skype calls discussing the details of everything then they found me the ideal company right in the heart of Tokyo. It was my first time there but my host company very quickly made it feel like home. Had some really good times these past few months, looking forward to returning some time in the near future. Thank you Meiji, I would definitely recommend to anybody considering.

Initially I was in the bunch of people that focus solely on Tokyo, but in the end choosing Osaka was game-changing for me. I quickly fell in love with the neon-lit streets, the affable residents, and the wild nightlife. Osaka is genuinely the perfect city in my eyes. Not to mention its considerably cheaper than Tokyo. Meiji found me an internship in graphic design, and I worked with a relatively small advertising company. The work was really engaging, as every day was pretty much a different task - plus the work they assigned to me was actual work they sent out to clients, so I felt like a valued member of the team. Living in cyberpunk Osaka gave me so much inspiration too, I felt like I was at my creative peak. Osaka is also incredibly well connected to other parts of Japan, so I was taking every opportunity I could to make short day trips and such to other cities. I’ve got a feeling this’ll be one of those trips I tell my kids about, cheers Meiji!

Thank you Meiji for the perfect internship experience. I wanted to do something that would give me the edge before starting my career so I chose an internship in South Korea. It was three months and I worked with a real estate company. The company was small and everybody was relatively young, so it felt like a very fresh experience for me. We all got along very well at work and also outside of work, so I owe a lot to them in making this a special experience. I had no problems while I was there but Meiji always checked on me, plus the application was very straight forward. The accommodation was suitable and it was easy to access from everywhere. Definitely I would do this again if I could.

As somebody who is not particularly an outgoing person, deciding to do an internship abroad in Singapore was not easy. That being said, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life! I was nervous through the whole application process, but Meiji always kept me updated and reassured me throughout. They listened to what I wanted from the internship and addressed all my concerns, in the end the host company they sourced for me was the best possible match in my opinion. Singapore is an incredible place, it feels so incredibly advanced and well organised. It’s the perfect place to do an internship as there are so many interesting start ups and young entrepreneurs, just being there feels very motivating. In the end I gained some very insightful work experience that I believe will make my future job search much easier. Thank you Meiji! Highly recommend for anybody considering an internship in Asia.

This was one of those times in life you look back at and it’s just a blur. I had so much fun that the time flew by and before I knew it I had to leave. My primary purpose in doing an internship here was to balance work with a holiday - so I basically wanted to play hard and work hard. Thailand is honestly the best place to do that. Meiji hooked me up with a super chill company to work with - they made it clear that the work I’d be doing was actually real work, which I was very happy about. So I was working hard during the days, but as soon as my working hours were up I was chilling on the beach in true Thai style. I met so many incredible people throughout my time there from both Thailand and around the world, I don’t know what it is but everybody seems so kind there you feel welcome wherever you’ve come from. I should also mention Meiji arranged my accommodation and I was very happy with it. This was one of my primary worries as I had heard a lot of stories about foreigners getting scammed by fraudulent Thai accommodation providers, so I was glad that Meiji took that stress off my shoulders. Really hope to be back to this paradise some time soon!

For the internship I was in Fukuoka for some months, and I think this was the best choice I ever made. I did not know what was Fukuoka before even coming here and I was thinking to go to Tokyo. But in the end I think that Fukuoka is better than Tokyo Osaka or Kyoto! I emailed to Meiji telling the things I want to do and other details about it, and they listened then gave me the perfect internship for me. I worked with a japanese company that was very kind to me and they gave me a lot experience. It was the first time for me to do a full time job so it was definitely useful for me to learn some things, plus in the Japanese way it will give me a good unique way to think in the future.

I’ll never forget the 3 months I spent in Seoul. This was the first internship I’d ever done and to be honest it set the bar pretty high. My goal was to get some solid work experience, but I also obviously wanted to enjoy one of my favourite cities. I contacted Meiji with this in mind and after some easy back and forth we were able to find an internship in Seoul that covers my industry of interest. At this stage they also set up the accommodation for me and they couldn’t have done a better job, in all honesty it was better than my place in the States. If you’re considering an internship in Seoul the best advice I can give to you is say yes to everything! Theres so much to experience here and you should take every opportunity to do so. My internship was 3 months and it felt like it went way to quickly… I guess that gives me an excuse to come back some time in the future.

Ever since I was little I want to go to Japan. Finally I got the chance and it is probably better than the dream! The internship was 1 month in Kyoto which is a beautiful and very magic city. I speak to Meiji and ask if I can do the internship here and they helped me to find the company with the accomodations. Every day was really fun even working days, and I every day did something new. The food was really delicious I cannot believe! I took many pictures and made many memories that I will take forever, it really was the best days of my life. I recommend Meiji to everyone and I also recommend Kyoto Japan to everyone :D

This was my first visit to Vietnam and I wouldn’t change a thing. I knew I wanted to do an Internship in Asia but I had no specific location in mind, so I did a bit of research and concluded that Vietnam would give me a unique perspective on the professional world. I imagine it’s not so popular as a destination for young professionals but I highly recommend it. Meiji were extremely professional in the whole process of arranging the internship. They set up interviews with companies I was interested in and guided me through the entire process. The accommodation they provided was comfortable and conveniently located, so was very suitable for a long stay. I will say, I’m definitely more on the taller side and some things in daily life were a little difficult. So if you’re tall just be warned about tiny doorways, tiny stools in restaurants, and bring all the clothing you’ll need as it’s hard to find tall clothing in Vietnam.

I loved my time in Tokyo for so many reasons. First of all it was the best possible place for me to progress as a working professional. I met so many inspiring and creative people, and was exposed to so much eye-opening work, I really feel like I’ve gained a whole new perspective. Work aside, it’s just such a fun city to live in! Everywhere is beautiful (and scarily clean), the people are so sweet, the food is from another planet, and it's so so so convenient. Spending time in Japan will make you jealous in many ways, you’ll never be able to enjoy your home country in the same way again. This is all thanks to Meiji really. To be honest it was hard for me to take the leap, and trusting an organisation on the other side of the world with all of this was not easy for me but I’m so glad I did in the end. I have no regrets at all and would do this again x10. Extremely happy with my experience, and can only recommend Meiji!

This was my first ever internship and I think it is the best I will ever do. Going to Hokkaido was a big change for me, you might expect that the weather is completely different. In fact, I have never seen so much snow in my life, it was so much! I did my 2 month internship at an amazing guesthouse and cafe in Sapporo. I already speak conversational Japanese so this was a good opportunity for me to use it every day, and I made so many friends in the process. First I was not so sure that Sapporo was the right place for me but after speaking with Meiji they assured me it would be great. Thank you very much for your help Meiji. You gave me one of the best experience in my life, my accommodation was so good, and I got to see a new city that is so different from my home.

I arrive in Korea for my internship after waiting for the long time, but I was finally feeling it was the best time of my life. I study fashion and I became interesting in the Korean fashion from a long time ago. I study fashion in Milan which is one of the most popular fashion places of the world, but I wanted to get some more experience to the other fashions of the world. So I bring my Milan experience to Seoul. I meet so many interesting designers and make some really good connections so now I hope one day I will be able to return and maybe get the full time job? Meiji really helped me so much with this even if I ask way so many questions they are always kind and make sure I get the best internship! My apartment was very perfect for me too, I did not have to travel a long time ever for work and it had a lot of shops near to. In total, it was the best time in my life.

I started my virtual internship after I found myself with a lot of downtime during the dreaded post-graduation job searching and from my experience it brought me many benefits. I’m in the industry of marketing with a focus on the channels of social media, when I told this to Meiji they said they had some suitable companies for me to work with and they were not wrong. I ended up working with an amazing company in Japan, taking control of their social media platforms, video and image editing, etc. I had read up about many horror stories regarding Japanese companies, like their really long work hours, or super depressing atmospheres. But this company was so far from that, everybody was really nice and supportive, it was a small relatively young company so it felt very dynamic and I was given lots of responsibility. Meiji assured me that they choose their partners carefully so I imagine most of their companies would feel like this. In the end I had such a good time, it often felt like fun rather than work. I gained some unique work experience and I’m now actually considering moving to work in Japan! I guess you could say it changed my career path.

My internship in Vietnam was really good for me both professionally and as a person. I am a freelance web designer who wanted some experience that would make me different from everybody else. I did some research on how I could do this and I found Meiji Internships. It is rare that somebody in web design can have experience in both the West and the East, so it made sense to go to Vietnam for some work experience. I told this to Meiji and they quickly understood my needs. They found me a company who was looking for a web designer to particularly create materials in English, which was perfect. I quickly became friends with everyone who I worked with and they introduced to me a lot about Vietnam and the culture. Also Meiji arranged for me to have an apartment that was really suitable. I was alone and female so I was often thinking about safety, but I felt very safe in that apartment. Being back in Germany now, it is definitely the case that I am gaining more interest after having some different experience, so I think this internship was worth it.

A good friend of mine moved to Singapore for work last year and has been constantly telling me it is a great option for young professionals. This created interest but I wasn't quite ready to fully commit to life there, I wanted a kind of ‘trial’. With this in mind I started searching for an internship in Singapore on my own, but this eventually got me nowhere and I ended up wasting a lot of valuable time. At this point I found Meiji’s services and decided to give it a shot. To my joy they were able to find me an internship extremely quickly as I chose the fast track option, so no further time was wasted. In the future I plan to develop my own business dealing with Asian markets, so together we decided that the Business Development internship would suit my needs. The work I did was very engaging and informative, I worked closely with my colleagues and we did some very interesting projects. The experience I gained has been very helpful in allowing me to assess the market in Singapore. There is nothing I can fault about my internship with Meiji in Vietnam. I did a case study on the Vietnamese business environment during college and was surprised to learn that it has one of the largest growing GDPs in the world. I became curious about the world of business in Vietnam, so I decided I’d like to do an internship there to experience it firsthand. My first thought was that this would be difficult to arrange, but Meiji made it almost too simple. We had some conversations and they understood my ambitions, in many ways it felt very relatable to be dealing with an internationally-minded group of people. They managed to connect me with a Vietnamese company in no time, I had direct contact with the company before I departed for Vietnam which assured me this was the right thing for me. Now I’ve finished I can confidently say Vietnam is a very impressive country, from the people to the culture to the business environment. I absolutely envision my future career in Vietnam, and hope to inspire more foreigners to consider the same.

I couldn’t even tell you how long I have wanted to live in Korea, basically since longer than I can remember. Once I had finally graduated I thought my time had come, but I always had this fear in the back of my mind that moving there without doing anything useful would have a bad impact on my career prospects. Then a good friend brought my attention to internships abroad. I did my research and came across Meiji, who had pretty solid reviews. I threw a few questions at them to see what they could offer, and it was literally an offer I couldn't refuse - I get to live in my dream city AND gain work experience? Yup count me in. It was my first time in Korea but for sure not my last. Thanks to Meiji I was in good hands with my company, who made sure I got the full ‘korea experience’ in every way. I did everything that needs to be done, including eating way too much than is humanly possible. It was just the time of my life. I highly recommend an internship in Vietnam with Meiji, you won’t regret it! Visiting Vietnam is one thing but actually living there is a whole different vibe. I spent a month there and it honestly changed my perspective on life. The people there are so humble and happy, even those that have very little. Everyday someone or something put a smile on my face, I legit cried on the plane home lol. It is so cheap too, I’ve never felt so rich in my life. I literally took every opportunity to travel, to eat out, to do everything, and I feel like it had no impact on my bank account. This was a big plus as a fresh graduate. Meiji did the best job setting the internship up for me. I told them I wanted to work with a fashion-focused company and they found exactly that. I wasn’t so sure that was possible in Vietnam but they definitely delivered. They always put my safety first too, I had a great secure apartment in a safe area, I always had someone checking up on me, I could contact them at any time, it was perfect for me as a solo female. Y’all did a great job! Thanks so much for changing my life hahaha.

The last time I visited Thailand I was spending my days by the beach in a hammock, so it’s safe to say I had a pretty good time. I had such a good time that I became curious about how the working world is in Thailand, so I decided I wanted to do an internship there. I come from a business background and I was stoked to see Meiji offered internships in my field there. I jumped at the chance while I could, and I never looked back. I sent Meiji all they needed from me and they matched me with an ideal company. The work days were not too intense so best believe I was having a good time after work, there were a lot of friends made, and a little too many drinks consumed. In reality its hard to tell if this was work or a holiday, but I came away from the experience with something different to put on my CV and memories to remember for a lifetime.

What can I say? This was the best trip of my life! Singapore was everything that I had dreamed it was but also at the same time I really didn't know what to expect. I hope that makes sense? I have fell in love with this country, so much that I’m now thinking about moving there for a long time. I first emailed Meiji with some questions and they answered me really quickly, then before I knew it I was heading to Singapore. I chose to do a tourism internship because that is my passion. Meiji listened and found me a great hotel to work with, where I was able to use my skills to the most. I made so many friends there, and we had so much fun in this beautiful city/country/island. It was really a culture shock for me because it was SO good, I’ve never been to a place so amazing. Also English was spoken everywhere so I had no problem with every day living, so it made it much easier. The apartment Meiji got for me was super cosy, and in a really good location. Wherever I wanted to go I could get there and back so easily, so I always felt safe. Singapore is small and public transport is good so it’s probably the same everywhere though. Finally I made some great memories, some friends for life, and I got some really good work experience. Thank you Meiji for introducing me to this wonderful place!

To get some real experience after graduating from my business bachelors I chose to do an internship abroad. I wanted to go to Asia because the business environment is so different from Europe and it would be a good chance to get some unique experience to improve my resume. Vietnam was the perfect destination. Almost every day the weather in Hanoi was perfect and it really felt like I was on a long holiday. However I don't mean i wasn't working hard, as I definitely worked alot in my internship. But there was still definitely alot of time to enjoy Vietnam, I regularly took trips with friends, ate a lot of delicious food, and enjoyed the nightlife. The best thing is that everything is very cheap here so I could do all of that on a budget. The application process with Meiji was easy, I emailed them and they always got back to me quickly. We had an interview to discuss what I want, and they found me the perfect company to intern with. I did the internship development internship and it included a lot of different things in the business, I was glad that i was trusted to get involved. They made me a really nice apartment and whenever i had a problem i could just email them easily. Definitely I will come back to this super country. Thank you meiji!

I finally arrived in Japan after a long (too long) wait of 2.5 years. I came on a Working Holiday Visa with hopes to travel the country and experience everything Japan has to offer. With that said, some real work experience in Japan was equally as important to me so I set my mind on a 1 month internship here. I began searching for Japanese internship providers and at that point I came across Meiji! After some in depth consultation, I was matched to a local business in Fukuoka who was looking to improve their business presence to foreigners in preparation for the borders opening up. I personally found this project really exciting, and I felt I could offer a lot with the perspective of a foreigner. Initially I had no idea where Fukuoka was and really had no desire to visit - but I’ll tell you now that would’ve been a huge mistake. Fukuoka was my first stop and it was honestly hard to leave, I easily could’ve spent my whole year there. The incredible staff at the business treated me like family, and introduced me to everything the city has on offer. I had a pretty good work life balance too, I was engaged in meaningful tasks at all times, but once the work day was up I was free to enjoy Japan! Probably like most people, I had read about all the terrors of the Japanese working culture, but I didn't experience that in the slightest. Having Meiji there to support me at all times was also very reassuring, plus their actual office is located in Fukuoka so I could easily drop in if I had any issues. This was the best possible way to start off my year in Japan and I’m so glad I’ve discovered the secret of Fukuoka. It’s a goodbye for now as I continue my travels around the country, but believe me I’ll be back! Sayonara xx

Cant even begin to explain how good my time in Korea was, literally felt like a really long dream. I waited for these 3 months for way too long, and when the time came it didn't disappoint. Seoul is probably the most beautiful city I’ve ever been to, all I can say is my insta is now popping. I’m having serious withdrawal symptoms since returning to London, and I’m craving REAL korean food 24/7 :( Meiji were a great company to work with too, they looked after me throughout my whole stay and made every effort to ensure the company I worked with was right for me. They clearly did a great job because I learnt and experienced so so much. If you’re looking for a hassle-free internship in a city you’ll fall in love with, look no further than Meiji :P

Doing an internship online was definitely something I have never done before so I was a little nervous, and also worried that it wouldn't be worth my time and money. I was wrong! I had so much fun working with the company in Singapore, they taught me a lot and I felt like a real team member at all times. Meiji Internships did the best job helping me find the internship. I sent them soooo many emails and they were always so patient and helpful, I wish I could meet them in person some time!! I also really appreciate that they made a call with me before so they could understand exactly what I wanted from the internship and they chose based on that conversation. The pandemic brought possibly the hardest 2 years of my life. I had been planning to move to start working abroad in Korea but couldn’t for obvious reasons, and with everything closed and the time ticking I was really freaking out over the future of my career. That’s when I started looking into the online internships provided by Meiji. From start to finish they helped me with every step, and in the end I couldn't have been happier with the company they partnered me with. The work I did was actually valuable, being a random intern behind a laptop from the other side of the world had me worried I was just going to be given trivial tasks, but they entrusted me with so much responsibility and I’m so grateful for that. My passion for video games and programming let me study it for my full-time degree in Munich. I wanted to go to Thailand as I loved the start-up scene and vibe there I experienced pre covid at my fantastic summer trip. But the pandemic made a big cross through my plans. Meiji found me a perfect solution with an IT and Web-development company in Bangkok. I did 5-months internship and learned a lot I can use for my future career, especially, C++, Java, Java Script and some basic 3D animation.

My internship in South Korea with Meiji was little bit mixed. The internship in a business research and marketing company was a lot of fun and I learned so much in the short time I have been there. Meiji Internships also assisted me throughout the whole process and really helped me with all necessary information. BUT Covid-19 really made my trip sometimes very difficult. The initial quarantine period was long, exhausting and the restrictions within restaurants and other public places made sometimes feel really lonely and angry. I did hope the situation would get better but when I went there last December it was at Korea's peak level in terms of health & safety precautions. Now the situation seems much better and quarantine is not any longer mandatory but it is really about timing. I am still very thankful for this opportunity Meiji gave me and hope to visit other parts of Asia as well when the pandemic finally cools off.

Moin Leute! Fukuoka ist einfach nur genial! Das Land, die Leute, das Essen und natürlich das ganze Meiji Team! Hab gerade mein sechwöchiges Marketing Praktikum beendet und starte erst richtig durch. Das Working Holiday Visum hat mir ermöglicht hier früher als erwartet nach Japan zu kommen. Die Unterkunft im Sharehouse hier in Fukuoka ist super gut und die ganzen Leute sind alle super nett und gechillt. Ich hab sogar ein Angebot für ein Part-time job bekommen hier in Fukuoka. Falls Ihr auch plannt nach Japan zu kommen dann AUF JEDEN FALL FUKUOKA! Beste City in Japan. Alles ist einfach nur genial. Strand, Sonne, Parties und supper nette Menschen. Ich bin hier noch für das ganze Jahr also meldet euch gern bei mir:) Bis später und kommt auch ins Land der aufgehenden Sonne. Einfach nur geil!

Three months in Seoul were a total blast! I absolutely love this city and the people. This was the second time in Asia but first time in South Korea. I do have to admit that I am a huge K-Pop fan and BTS Army, but that's a different story. kkk The cultural experience and immersion I had through the events Meiji introduced me to were amazing. They even held a meet-up with fellow interns who were in Seoul at that time. Due to Corona and also the fact that these type of gatherings seem less frequent in these pandemic times, they still managed to take ten fellow interns out for Korean BBQ, some night market strolling and an unforgettable Karaoke night! What can I say about the internship?-My team was simply amazing and super nice. Just Korean people don't know when to stop working! Luckily as an intern I did not have to follow the standard protocol. kkk Khamsamnida Meiji and I am praying that Korea won't leave me for too long...I'll be back my beloved Seoul!

I came on the WHV (Working Holiday Visa) here for a two months internship in an Import & Export company who do sales of Japanese goods and used car vehicles to the European and American market. My mother tongue is German and my English is also not bad so I was able ton help with a lot of operations, product shipments and researching. Almost done with my work experience but still so much more to learn. I made great contacts thanks to Meiji's good network of companies and local connections that they have here. The Share House is also really cool and the people are very nice. We are going out for some sightseeing and sometimes grab food together. I really recommend everybody to do the share house you will not disappoint you. Thanks again to my wonderful internship placement and really kind boss who gave me chance to learn very much.

Ever been to a place so amazing you don’t want people to know about it? That’s Fukuoka for me! Before doing this internship I had no idea the place even existed. To be honest I had my eyes set on Tokyo and I was a little worried Fukuoka wouldn't match the hype, but boy was I in for a shock. The place is just… amazing. The people are great, the food is amazing, the city has everything you need, like to the extent I was seriously considering leaving Canada behind forever. I know I sound like one of those corny travel bloggers, but Fukuoka is a real hidden gem. Shout out to Meiji for introducing this place to me because I definitely would’ve never came here otherwise. In addition to being a place of dreams, the internship I did was pretty good too. I will admit sometimes it felt like I had a little too much work, but I guess that’s down to my laziness because an internship should be about work. I definitely still had a lot of time to explore Japan though so I really shouldn't complain. The accommodation was perfect too, something about it felt so wholesome, it was so “natsukashii”. If you’re considering Fukuoka for an internship, all I can say is do it, and just be aware I’m jealous of you because I’d love to do it all again.

These past 3 months in Korea have been a dream. I’ll be real the whole waiting through covid thing wasn’t easy, but actually landing in Korea was a literal dream come true. My interest in Korea kinda grew exponentially over the past few years after watching about every Korean drama I could set my eyes on (I know… basic) but I quickly felt like it was the place for me. My internship there confirmed this. I come from a fashion/design background and my host company basically couldn’t have been any more perfect, working alongside young Korean fashion designers was such good experience for me and my future. I learnt so much and took so much inspiration, that in itself I think is super valuable. Work aside, I probably don’t have to say how amazing Seoul is. I think I had a bit too much fun and a bit too much food (at least if I’m listening to my waistline). Also now I think back to it I’m super grateful Meiji arranged the accommodation for me, I just don't have the patience for that especially in a language I don’t speak. So basically if you haven't got it by now, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. I literally can't thank Meiji enough lol I feel like it’s going to be real hard to match this experience.

I am marketing student from Poland, and find the internships on google. It was first time to do the online, so first not knowing how to expect. I work with the japanese company in my home so it was good for time. Finaly i am very happy with meiji who make me the best internship ever. I hope that you will chose meiji in the future. Would genuinely recommend Meiji to anybody thinking of getting some international work experience from the comfort of your own home. I was in a bit of a panic when I didn't secure a summer internship whilst at university, then I came across Meiji. I’d always wanted to work with an international company, but obviously as a student didnt have the time nor money to do so. That’s when I grew interested in Meiji’s virtual internship. The work I did was pretty full on, whether or not that’s a good thing will depend on the person, but for me that was excellent as I love staying busy. That being said I worked from home and still had my free time, so I had a decent work life balance. So altogether a really good experience that was very convenient for me. Again, cant recommend Meiji enough. Cheers!

If you're anything like me you’re looking for an internship in Japan and you're tirelessly looking through all the reviews of each and every internship provider trying to find the best one. If you’re reading this I’d advise you to stop now because you’ve found it!! This was my first, and already probably the best internship of my life. It has been a lifelong dream to live in Japan and I fiiiiiinally made it happen. Seriously, no regrets. The people in Japan are just as nice as they’re said to be, and I felt welcomed everywhere I went even as the classic loud obnoxious Aussie I am. I only wish I knew more of the language, so I could really interact with them! Meiji were superb from start to finish. The application was quick, they showed genuine care for my interests, and they found me the best possible company to work with. Nothing but happy!

I did a 1 month internship together with my best friend here in Tokyo. All the staff were super friendly and I learned so much how a Japanese business looks and works from the inside here in Japan. Thank you all for this great experience!

I just came back last week from my Asian adventure in a lifetime! - spicy, marvelous, stunning Korea! Everything was great from my private apartment to the events they held and of course my internship. I did the business package and were not disappointed with the central accommodation they organized for me. It was so convenient for going out for drinks, parties and enjoy Seoul's buzzing nightlife. The internship itself was good and all my colleagues were nice, but I don't think I'll come back for work in Korea again. Koreans work 24/7 much different than back in Luxembourg. Be prepared for some proper work load haha Other than I can say I am very thankful for all the things I've learned and really looking forward to meet all the friends I made there over my two months.

Just done with my short but very exciting internship in Tokio. My one month internship at a Japanese guesthouse was so lovely. Very calm relaxed and beautiful environment right in the middle of Tokio's most traditional district Asakusa. I came here on the Working Holiday Visa, meaning I won't get back home soon. lol And the best thing is my internship provider just offered me a paid part time job, because he was really happy with my internship performance. Fingers crossed I might get a full time job at the end of my WHV too!

I do the 3 months internship in seoul for business development. I have very a lot of fun and find new friends in the share house. even sometimes we are busy at work, my colleague always take me to nice bar or something, it was good. meiji also very helpful and kind! I did my internship through Meiji in Singapore after looking through reviews for a few different providers, and I’m glad I made the right choice. They found me the perfect company, gave me a centrally located furnished apartment, and gave me all the support I needed. This really takes away the stress of moving to another country. Luckily I spent 4 years of my childhood in Singapore due to my fathers work, so I was kinda already familiar with the culture and wonders of the country. But even if you’re not so familiar, it’s a really liveable city. Pretty much everybody speaks English, so daily life shouldn't have any difficulties. There are a lot of Western expats here too, but don't make the mistake I did and spend too much time with them! In the end I wish I spent more time with real Singaporeans, they were all so kind and happy. I absolutely recommend doing an internship here with Meiji, you’ll have a lot of fun whilst also learning a lot.

After searching for a way to experience a life in Korea I finally came across Meiji, who offered me a super fun internship in my field of interest for a month. My specialism is design and I wanted to diversify my portfolio with some work in Asia, so I thought this would be a great chance to do that while living in cool place. The employees at my company were really kind, and gave me a lot of opportunity to work on projects where I could fully use my own creativity and initiative. Exploring the city was always fun, there’s so much to see in Seoul. My favourite and most surprising moment was finding an Aussie bar, felt just like home. Meiji did a great job at making sure everything was easy, they always kept in contact with me to make sure I was doing okay. They also made the process of moving super simple even during the current situation, I was actually surprised. Especially coming out of a long lockdown in Australia, it was honestly much needed. All in all, lived in the perfect city, ate some great food, made some really good mates that I hope to stay in contact with. Cant complain!

My first internship abroad and also did it at my father's home country was an experience I will never forget. I interned at an import & export company in Khaosiung. The tasks were new to me and sometimes difficult to understand but I tried my best and received good feedback after my 2-months internship. Meiji was really helpful and assisting. I was concerned if I could eventually go because the country is literally closed down to all foreigners and visitors. But my father is Taiwanese and thus there was no problem with the visa situation to enter. I do have to mention Taiwan felt so different during this pandemic. No foreigners, less vibrant night markets and something was missing... The accommodation they placed me was amazing, clean and in a green neighborhood. The social life was good but somehow the fellow foreigners were missing. I do hope the pandemic will come soon to an end and Taiwan will be open again to ALL PEOPLE!

Seoul was just as amazing as I thought it’d be, and I feel so lucky to have experienced such a unique 3 months there. I had actually got in touch with Meiji before the pandemic, and for obvious reasons my internship was put on hold. However throughout this process Meiji was always available to contact, and they kept me updated on the Covid developments. When the time finally came and I was able to go, it felt like a dream come true. The city is incredible, walking the dense neon-lit streets at night felt like walking through a set of Blade Runner. If you’re into street photography, Seoul is definitely the place to be. They say South Korea has some of the best food in the world, and I can vouch for that. I’ve been trying to find Korean food that good in Canada but it’s been a struggle. The apartment Meiji arranged for me was centrally-located, so I had everything I needed within walking distance (including my host company’s office which I could reach with a 15 minute walk). Though it’s down to personal preference, if i could do it again I’d go for the private accommodation, as I’m somebody who enjoys my alone time. The people at the host company I interned at were great too, I picked up some very valuable work experience there and managed to make some important connections. Altogether, I made some incredible memories in Seoul, made some amazing new friends from around the world, and had Meiji’s support along the whole way.

Last year I went for two months for a business development internship in Seoul with Meiji Internships. Due to Covid I thought travel might not be possible to Asia, yet after discussing and considering the different options Meiji has outlined to me, I was glad to be informed that my favorite destination South Korea offered me this option. I have been to Korea a few years ago and I had so much fun. This time I wanted to return to polish up my international work experience with an internship in the business/human relationship sector. From my understanding Korea is (still) a very closed and traditional society which makes it difficult for us Westerners to get in touch with the local job market. My Korean begins and ends with Korean greetings and praising their yummy yet sometimes fiery delights in Korean. Therefore, I saw even more the need to get in touch with a proper internship provider. Meiji seemed to be the right option for me due to their good local market knowledge and great connections with well established Korean companies and local business network that I found out they were involved. As my initial interview process was a bit long and I happened to make use of the all three interviews with different companies, I did get a good overview of their options in terms of corporate placements. Finally I went with an HR company which also analyse business data from their clients. Due to the language barrier I did a lot of international company research, attended and liaised meetings with senior staff and clients and also engaged in a lot of business networking events. Virtual / Remote internship or whatever you want to call it. I have to say-I was and am still kind of sceptical about not seeing my company or any staff members I am working with. However Corona did not give me any other option than considering this chance. and when I mean chance than I really do regret that I was not considering this earlier! My fellow uni friends went with other internship agencies and honestly in most cases I really heard bad stories from ignoring emails and not engaging with the intern at all. My first thought was to properly reach out to all the major agencies and I do have to admit Meiji gave me the best impression and their prices seemed also very justifiable compared with some expensive alternatives out there. So here I am, 23 year old German IT student who wants that international taste and also get in touch with an international work crowd. My first plan was to go to Japan last year but border never seem to open. I had a very friendly chat with the Meiji team and after a few emails and a proper Zoom call I made up my mind to go with the virtual internship option they offer! Little did I know how much fun I would have in my comfort zone and only leaving my room for the kitchen and some fun workout at the gym. I was placed in a gaming company in Tokio whose name I cannot disclose but I had a hell lot of fun with them and we even did after work sometimes “online Nomikais” (Japanese online drink parties through Zoom). That was a weird but fun experience. And the best part of all is that they offered me a paid internship for this Winter break or any future dates when the borders open again! Where shall I start by trying to describe the best three months of my life?? Meiji Internships did really a great job assisting me throughout the journey. The initial pre-departure support was already great and their quick email response was really reassuring that all my worries and questions were properly addressed. They literally replied to all my email within a day or two (except of the weekends they don’t seem to work). While they placed me in an amazing Marketing company and I did have the opportunity to learn sooo much! I must say Korean LOVE TO WORK! My work hours were around 7~8 hours a day, five times a week, but I did hear from other Meiji Interns that at their internship placement sometimes overtime or weekend work could also happen. Happy my boss so lovely and helpful with all my needs! As it was the first time for me in Asia I did face a lot of challenges with the language, but the support by the local Meiji staff was great. The sightseeing trips with my business package were limited to nearby places around Seoul (Bibong Peak, Seul Tower, Myeongdong Night Market and a trip to Incheon Chinatown) I have to say that the Korean language crash course did help a lot but I needed more. So once that was finished I made the most of my time and went to a few business networking events that they suggested me and also made friends with local university students. Last but not least Seoul is a neversleeping city and when I mean never then please imagine 24hours services at its highest quality! Meiji khamsamnida! I’ll be back for another internship in Seoul next year again!!

I don't know anything about any other internship companies, but you may be looking for one that works and that will help you get to South Korea as soon as possible. If that is the case, then yes I can recommend Meiji Internhsips. Your money is going towards a company that will make everything easy and will listen to your concerns. Once you have been accepted in a company and you are in Korea, you will only hear from them when strictly necessary, which is exactly what you want to enjoy your time there. Of course you can always reach out to them if you need any type of assistance, they are very quick to reply and aid you. I'm in the PR and Marketing sector and the companies I was matched to are quality, my internship was a success and obviously the highlight of the whole program is what you make of your visit to the country, but that has less to do with Meiji. All in all I think it's worth it.

Taiwan is more than just a safe place to travel, it is a paradise. I was just looking for a place in Asia to intern at and after seeing the options Meiji had (and plenty of research on the internet) I went with Taiwan. Guys you really don't need to speak the language or be crazy about a particular culture, once you're here you will fall in love automatically. I can't speak for other asian countries as this is my first experience in the continent, but there are just so many things to do and once the culture shock is gone and you stop thinking about missing home the experience is like no other, I swear. The internship itself is cool and exciting enough, the process was simple and the guys at Meiji Internships are just an email away if I ever happen to need some, Iv'e needed their assistance a couple times (paperwork, wifi issues) and they were there to rescue me. I'd be a little lost if I just came without them... oh and you can get your uni credits so if that's whay you need go ahead and call these guys for sure!

There are many pros and maybe some cons to a virtual internship, but let me tell you virtual internships are real internships and therefore lots of work. Don't expect your host company to go easy on you just because you are working remotely. That said, it's very cool to have tons of flexibility and to get to know people from other parts of the world! Some of them I still talk to. I did a lot of writing during my internship and I actually think online worked better for my type of internship, it was really easy to get feedback and make corrections to my texts, and my company was for sure used to having interns both on-site and online, as they were ready to train me and seemed experienced in this regard. I got my credits for uni no problem ;)

Meiji was more than great, they are a good company with empathetic people that really want you to go on a great adventure. Also, they work fast and got me two different interviews in basically no time. I was happy to talk to them and felt comfortable telling them everything I wanted and expected from their program, as they seemed open to listen and in the end they delivered. I went with a smaller IT company in Seoul because we got along pretty well during the interview process and I quite liked the quality of the work they were doing. I have no regrets, it was hard work but that's what I needed for my CV and after some weeks I felt more like a part of the team than an intern.

I had planned a trip with some friends to Thailand in 2020. I guess there's no need to explain but that just didn't work out. I was fortunately able to change some of the reservations I had made to this year and that was just a life-saver as otherwise I would've ended up losing my money. So I killed two birds with one stone by choosing Thailand for my uni internship. I was initially interested in an online internship, but the folks at Meiji talked me through the different options and when they mentioned Thailand was open for me, I had nothing to think about. The actual internship was pretty good, I learned a ton of things and it didn't consume my whole day. Transactions were also very smooth and I have no complaints when it comes to the company

I had planned my visit to Japan for a long time and life really made me wait more years than I would have wanted to to get to try real kaiten sushi. Originally I didn't plan to do an internship during my time there but I kinda needed to now that I'm about to finish my undergraduate studies. So I found Meiji Internships and since they specialize in Asia there was no point in going for any other of the options. Not to mention I am always on a budget and their services were one of the few that didn't look like they were too overpriced. In the end I can't complain at all, the attention was always good, they got me two different interviews with legit companies and one of them adopted me and taught me all the things I needed to know. I worked with them in mostly marketing related stuff for 5 months and it was frictionless. Overall a good program that allowed me to have some spare time, although I wish I asked for one with 1 or 2 less hours per day because sometimes I would be rather exhausted but that's just life I guess so that last part is on me for sure.

For those of you still wondering if now's the time to travel to Korea: yes, this is the sign you were waiting for. I'm very glad I waited this long after the pandemic to actually travel there, but after being in Seoul for the last 4 months I can tell you I don't think it'll get better than this (in the good way). As long as your passport is valid to enter the country I think you should do it, restrictions have mostly been lifted in all the places that matter and you won't be missing out on any of the fun. Of course you're going to have to wear a mask but other than that it felt like the real deal, I did everything I wanted to, ate everything I wanted to and went to all the places in my bucket list. If you're in uni and need to do your internship then leave it to Meiji to find you an interview in your field and definitely be very specific with any special needs you may have, they are quite accommodating in my experience

I'll start by saying that if you have the means to intern abroad then you should simply do it, there is truly no other experience like it. That said, do I recommend Meiji Internships as an internship provider? All I can say is that they made everything nice and simple for me and were there every step of the way. It can be very intimidating to find accommodation on your own, especially in an Asian country where you don't even speak the language, so for me it was really a no brainer to seek for help. Since I wanted to do my internship in Korea it just made sense for me to go with Meiji instead of other providers because they specialize in Asian countries and that just made it seem like they would know better than companies that aren't specialized in any particular region. From the beginning it was clear that they knew what they were doing, they were always polite, friendly and made sure to tailor my internship experience to my needs, I'm very happy with the company I was assigned to and more than just working I had a GREAT time in Seoul.

I had the time of my life last year in Seoul and even though it was mostly as a result of the friends I made and the trips I planned, Meiji definitely played a role. The two main things I can say about their packages is that they do offer convenient accommodation options that, at least in my case, ended up being 20 minutes away from my host company. I had a nice and tidy apartment for myself that had pretty much anything I needed from the start and where no one would bother me. There weren't any loud neighbors which is honestly all I could ask for in the first place. Prices seemed ok to me, there are more expensive options but I can recommend their accommodation for those who don't see the point in getting all the bells and whistles in an apartment that you'll barely be in. The people at Meiji were always friendly and happy to help, and would get in touch with me to check I was happy with my stay:)

Last year I went online blindly looking for virtual internships, I had never done anything similar and had no idea whether I would like it or ended up super stressed. I was not looking for a host company in any specific country, but after some research I figured I would be okay with being put in any Japanese or Korean company that didn't require me to speak the language (which I honestly thought would be more difficult). Meiji Internships was the first company to reply to my emails and they gave me the sensation that my questions and inquiries were being taken seriously, so naturally I decided to continue the process with them. After some discussion, they got me an interview with a fantastic PR & Marketing agency that apparently liked my enthusiasm and took me in. Doing an online internship was such a bliss and extremely necessary for me, as I just needed something flexible that would allow me to manage my own time that I've been trying to use to improve my mental health, something I think a lot of us need right now.

I did two virtual internships, and both were amazing. I could never have found these internships on my own, and the experience and knowledge I gained from them are priceless. I learned so much, and I really enjoyed my time learning and growing.

In the beginning I didn’t really get why someone would need a company like Meiji as the middle man to get an internship abroad, but after realizing all the trouble I would have to go through to get a host company in Korea myself… it all made sense. If you’re like me then you probably are clueless when it comes to a bunch of important aspects you should take into consideration when planning a big trip like this: getting into a company that will actually take good care of you during your stay, finding a decent accommodation that is not 2 hours away from your host company, making sure that you will get the university credits at all, and having people guide you through the whole process. You never know what’s going to happen once you’re in Korea, so having someone you can call in case something goes wrong just feels right. Luckily, other than being a bit lost with paperwork and needing some help at the airport everything went perfect for me. All I can say is that there’s a reason companies like Meiji exist and I had a pleasant experience with them overall.

Meiji Internships was able to find me a host company in just a few days, the whole experience was friction-less. Once I got in contact with them, they took great care of me and got to know my interests enough to place me in a Japanese company that meet all of my requirements. Working from home was simply very convenient, time zones were usually never a problem and I met plenty of interesting people that I can’t wait to meet in real life next time I’m in Japan.

The reason I'm so glad I went with Meiji Internships is how easy they make the whole process. From applying and clearing out whatever questions I had to finding the right company for me. I was mostly interested in video editing (which I did plenty of) but ended up learning a lot about photo retouching as well. At first I was hesitant to deviate from what I intended to focus on, but after learning how profitable having basic photoshop skills can be, I began putting in the work to improve fast. If your field requires you to be in front of a computer for hours then I'd say a virtual internship is just fine, I personally found it fun and extremely nourishing. No regrets here

Overall I'd say I had a smooth experience. Sometime ago I started worrying that the travel restrictions would not let me go abroad when the time came to do my mandatory internship, so I went online and started emailing some companies that seemed like they could help me get an online internship. My Meiji experience was amazing. From the beginning to my ongoing studies with them it was so far a wonderful 3 months of intensive studies, laughs, fun talks and so much refreshing new things to learn:) Before starting my online studies at Meiji Academy, I've had two private online teachers with mixed feelings from my learning experience. They made a lot of effort and also answered most of my questions I had, but studying with a proper Japanese language school is whole new experience. Meiji has a proper curriculum in place and their certified Japanese language teachers ensure a high teaching standard throughout their lessons. Plus I have had regular consultation sessions within the lessons with my teachers to address any problems I have and what points I would like to focus during my sessions. As I am not good at memorizing Kanji and also have reading problems with larger texts, the teachers made a lot of effort to study with me specific texts that are suitable to my Japanese level and understanding of Kanji. I rarely recommend a place for studies or any other services, but I think it is important to share my experience with this wonderful school and their warm-hearted teachers:) Meiji Academy arrigatou gozaimashita

Cool people, cool projects and very much challenges I did not encounter before. Meiji made good job with giving me the opportunity to prove my skills of helping my fellow colleagues with administrational tasks and preparing presentations for clients. The beginning was bit hard for me as my English was worse than now but the company told me if I would be willing to learn by myself and complete the tasks given to me in the set time frame they could consider me training. My internship was remotely part-time for five months. The company was based in Tokyo and was looking for a marketing researcher to analyze data and also perform a variety of tasks. Some tasks were not very fun at the beginning but part of the overall picture of company operations and important as I found out later. I hope I can visit Japan sometime soon.

Oh my freaking god. This was literally a lifetime adventure out of my comfort zone:) Meiji placed me with a wonderful Consulting company focusing on tourist advertisement and promoting local restaurants across Japan. First I had concerns as I have never been to Japan and did not know how I could assist my company. However I soon realized the competitive advantage I was holding compared to my Japanese peers. The English language and my creative writing I have discovered during this experience. I was given the opportunity to study the Japanese tourism industry and rediscover what foreign tourist and locals alike are looking for when visiting new venues. The key to understand the marketing and also how promotions for businesses work is to write A LOT of blogs and articles to inform new customers of what is out there. Even though it was online I discovered the digital Japanese business attire in dealing with problems and presenting solutions to new challenges. My major advice is don't waste your time during this Covid mess and use your time wisely to learn something new. Japan see you soon again :)

My internship with Meiji was a great experience. Originally, I had an exchange semester planned in Taiwan, but unfortunately, the travel restrictions resulted in it's cancellation. I started looking for an alternative to still experience some Taiwanese culture and found Meiji's Virtual Internship. From the beginning Meiji gave me advice on industries that fit my studies and what dates are most suitable for an internship (to avoid Taiwanese holidays). After I was matched with my host company they sent me more information about my schedule and tasks. I was also able to apply for university credits at my university with their help. During the internship itself I woke up to a warm email that my Taiwanese colleagues wrote the day before, which included my tasks for the day and feedback on my completed tasks. Once a week I also had a video call with my mentor for extra detailed feedback. This helped me to see the parts I could improve on and resulted in me learning a lot during this internship! Now that my internship ended I am waiting until Taiwan's borders open so that I can visit my host company. My colleagues already made a plan to show me around Taipei for when travel will be possible again.

After finishing my studies, I wanted to gain work experience within my field - Marketing! At the same time I wanted to gain intercultural experience so I was looking for a program abroad. I decided to apply for a Virtual Internship with Meiji, because I it allowed me to be flexible with other responsibilities I had back home. Meiji matched me with a company in Singapore, which helped me to learn a lot of new skills. The time difference also made me practice my self-organizational skills. It gave me an idea of how work can be organized in a multinational company and made me think outside of my own region. At the end of my internship they even organized a goodbye party for me, which was of course held online. They had sent me a surprise package with a few typical Singaporean snacks, which made the distance disappear and made me feel like I was directly at the office with them.

For my university I needed to do an internship this summer. I wanted to do my internship abroad, but I soon realized it will still be difficult to travel. I would love to travel, see Japan and work there but covid made this impossible. Thankfully I was still able to go *virtually*. My colleagues were fantastic and often showed me around the office and since it was a tourism agency, also organised virtual trips for me. So at least I can feel like I left the country in over a year. I recommend Meiji because they put a lot of effort into helping you find the internship you want. I guess I wasn't expecting such a smooth and life-changing experience when I applied for a virtual internship. I had been looking for a place to test my graphic design skills as I've been learning for a while now and felt good enough to try and do something for an international company. The most important thing I learned is that I still have a long way to go in my field, but thanks to Meiji Internships I was able to land an internship with a company that had GREAT communication and was always giving me detailed feedback. Doing this internship really helped me gain a better understanding of how graphic design is different depending on the country, and how Japanese companies expect very different results when compared to the western companies I've done designs for.

Hallo! I wanted to share my experience with Meiji Internships because they did an amazing job and I think they deserve to be supported! My internship criteria were quite specific, I wanted a small company in Japan that had partnerships with the Netherlands... and Meiji Internships found exactly what I asked for! We often had Zoom meetings with my work team to stay updated on everything, and my superior helped me and gave me lots of precious advice.

What an amazing virtual internship! It gave me the experience I needed to find my own style. I have to say that I have always wanted to do something special. You know, until I decided to go on this internship adventure, I was always taking the easy road without stepping out of my comfort zone. My internship in Korea was awesome. It allowed me to meet new people who taught me very useful things about business in Korea. This internship was an excellent experience that allowed me to step out of my comfort zone. I needed professional marketing experience as most recruiters these days require that. Plus I thought that the name of a well-known Japanese company would look nice on a CV! The internship was great, I learned a lot about marketing and also about how Japanese business works. I was surprised because Japanese people really do work a lot. The internship was online so I wasn't in the same office as them, but I could see them online very often before the working hours. Luckily they didn't ask me to do extra hours haha. The experience was really great and Meiji Internships' team is wonderful!

Last year I went to Vietnam for my internship. The entire experience was incredible ! It was my first time traveling outside Europe so I remember being a bit nervous on the day of departure. But I had nothing to worry about ! Meiji Internships made sure to prepare everything for my arrival and they came to pick me up at the airport. The sharehouse was clean and located in a nice area, next to a supermarket. I lived there with three other students who quickly became my friends. My host company was really great. I worked with the marketing team and I had my own desk with a computer that they lent me. The atmosphere was nice and I really had a great time with my team. One year later, I am still in contact with two of my friends from the sharehouse and some of my colleagues. I even added my boss on Facebook !

Korean people are the nicest persons on Earth. My virtual internship was wonderful and my head is full of good memories. They welcomed me in the team with open arms and taught me a lot about graphic design. I am learning it by myself and also through a few online classes, but having real work experience is really something else! It was so easy to remember and understand everything thanks to my co-workers. My goal is to become a freelance graphic designer so that I can travel and work remotely. Working with a Japanese team was one of the biggest challenges of my life. I was a bit afraid of the language barrier, but I actually had nothing to worry about since everyone in the team spoke English. I had this stereotype in my mind, that Japanese people were really bad at English, but that wasn't true at all! At least in the professional environment. They were used to dealing with foreigners and I was able to learn many things about how to adapt to a new culture when doing business. Meiji Internships did a great job of finding my host company and taking care of me! I had a Skype consultation when I could let them know what kind of internship I was looking for. My internship with Meiji Internships was incredible. It's really great these days to be able to work without anything else than a computer and a phone. I like the idea of being able to work from anywhere in the world - all you need is internet access. I did this internship in a Japanese company as part of my university credits. I study marketing and communication. Fortunately, a distance internship was valid to obtain my credits, and I received a nice internship certificate at the end of my internship. I still think almost every day of the experience I had in Korea. These two months in Seoul really changed my life and my vision of many things. Opening up to a new culture was revealing and I learned a lot about business and everything you can do with motivation. I have always been interested in Asian culture, and working with these people was an honor for me. I love Japan so much that I absolutely wanted to do my internship there. My internship in South Korea was great! It was very productive and interesting. I wanted to do an internship abroad because it looks nice on a CV, but the experience I had was much more than that. My internship with a company based in Indonesia was amazing. I needed a work experience in an IT company to validate my semester and Meiji was very reactive about the virtual internship. I participated in the development of a mobile app with a great team who taught many useful things that I will never forget ! Everyone was already working remotely in the team so they were used to it. They gave me lots of advice which I look forward to using later and showing to my teachers at school. It was amazing to finally apply what I learned at school to a real project. I study international commerce, and I had to do an internship for my uni credits. I didn't think twice, obviously I wanted to go to South Korea! I lived in Seoul for 3 months, and it was the best time of my life! I was living in a sharehouse with awesome people who quickly became my friends. During the first week I was calling my sister everyday to tell her what happened during the day, but I got used to the life in Korea and to my job and I had less time to call her after the first week. That's a good thing, it means that I was busy and not feeling homesick! I was working in a trading company in Seoul and I learned so many things guys! In the end, I was even able to make my own calls with partners without feeling any stress. South Korea is a stunning country, I feel so lucky for this incredible experience. I wish everyone could go abroad one day to experience such a wonderful adventure!

I did an online internship with a Japanese marketing company. I had a very good experience and I learned many marketing strategies and concepts. Meiji Internships is an amazing agency! There are very responsive and fully engaged in their work. They helped me prepare for the online interview with my host company and even helped me rewrite my CV. I am a bit shy so it was stressful for me to meet with Japanese people, but thanks to Meiji's valuable advice, I successfully passed my first interview! I am not ready to go to Japan without my family so this online internship was the perfect way to have some work experience without being in any kind of situation that might make me feel anxious or uncomfortable.

Because of the virus, I thought I had to completely cancel my internship, but Meiji Internships offered me a great opportunity: a virtual internship! Instead, I could focus on my work and learn even faster. My company was a Korean marketing company. I realised my dream: working in Japan! I am studying 3D animation at uni and I have always been in love with Japanese animation. Since middle school, I knew that I would like to work in Japan someday, and this winter, I finally had the opportunity to intern for 2 months in Tokyo. I could meet brilliant people and learnt so much from my talented coworkers. My superiors said that I would be welcome to visit them in the future or maybe work with them again. I was so glad to hear that! Tokyo is a huuuge city. Two months were still not enough to visit everything! We had a few group trips organised by the Meiji Internships staff. It was a blast! I couldn't dream of a better team! We are still in contact with each other and we are talking about going to Japan next year, in summer.

After graduating from university i decided to go abroad for an internship in Japan, Meiji Internships helped me to get my Marketing & PR internship in Fukuoka. As going to Japan is not possible at the moment, I decided to do a remote internship. I had a really good experience with a Japanese company located in Tokyo. They taught me about marketing via the internet and it worked suprisingly well! The internship just ended last week and I can tell that I feel more confident, skilled and mature even thought I didn't even leave my house. That's incredible! Some of my friends are complaining because they are getting bored staying at home, but the lockdown situation was completely different for me! I am glad that I could use this precious time to gain knowledge about my field of interest. It is SO important to stay active especially in this situation and I can highly recommend this online programme. The Meiji staff was always kind and supportive. They were easy to reach at any time even though it might've been hard for them to deal with the coronavirus situation. The company I interned with was also amazing. I could feel the Japanese "omotenashi" even from here!

This was the first internship I've ever done, so I wasn't sure what to expect from it. I just wanted to gain experience and bring it back home hoping to find a good job thanks to my new skills and my beautiful CV. The experience was actually better than I expected. It was a fantastic internship in terms of work and also in terms of human relationships. I got plenty of knowledge and a greater understanding of the culture, and I got wonderful friends and coworkers to support me in my adventure. I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived. it was like a second home! I am happy that I also gained a sense of independence. This internship changed the way I view my life!

Traveling to Vietnam is an adventure I will remember forever. I was really pushed out of my comfort zone and was able to meet a lot of new amazing people. I went to amazing work events and received great advice and feedback on my work. My team was very supportive; they taught me a lot about digital design. I tried to communicate with everyone and ask every question I had in order to gain skills but also to create bonds with people and make my internship unforgettable! To be honest, this internship really exceeded my expectations: I went there looking for working experience and I ended up having the time of my life and experienced Vietnamese culture with amazing friends and colleagues. I learnt a lot about design and about myself and who I want to be as a person.

Japan is an amazing place to go abroad and to do an internship! I have learned so much from my time there. I came back as a different, more open-minded and mature person. I wish the experience lasted longer but one month in Kyoto was already awesome. Japan is a safe country and I had a really great time sightseeing in Kyoto with everyone. I have met some amazing people and I wonder if we will be able to meet each other again. I would love to, because going through an adventure like this together creates strong bonds and those people are quite important to me. And the food guys... Japanese food is so yummy!! I miss it so much, I tried to cook a katsu kare, but it was nothing like the original one haha.

The whole process for my internship was super easy and smooth: they responded quickly to my emails and helped me find a great company to intern with. It is not easy to adjust to a new country when you don't speak the language, but Meiji Internships made sure I was well prepared and that my internship was in an English speaking environment. Speaking of which, I had a perfect job! I was doing marketing and I learnt so much about the industry. My boss understood my needs very well and what I wanted to learn. He answered all my questions, gave me useful feedback and really cared about me. I gained so many skills so i can now handle projects I wouldn't have hoped for 3 months ago! We went on many excursions with Meiji Internships. The best weekend was the weekend at Disneyland! I am a big big fan of Disney and I was amazed to experience Hong Kong Disneyland lol! On top of that, the weather was great and all my friends joined!

Applying for an internship was a great way to learn about PR & Marketing. My host company was wonderful and they taught me many interesting things. There is always something going on and to learn from in a company like that and I didn't get bored at all. I had a genuine experience in Thailand and I got a great understanding of their beautiful culture and language. My best memory is when we visited an elephant sanctuary. I was so emotional to see those people taking care of the elephants and give them love. It was the first time for me to see those impressive animals in the wildness and I will remember this feeling forever. This adventure was definitely worth it. It gave me the urge to travel and discover the world, and I am already looking forward to my next travel!

My internship placement was excellent! I did an environmental internship in Tokyo in a solar panels company. I am very interested in renewable energy and I think Japan is already doing a great job so I wanted to go there and learn from them. Assist and create new projects with professionals was just formidable. I spent my weekends exploring Tokyo and eating at restaurants. Japan is a beautiful country with a complex culture that is particularly fascinating! I will also never forget the people I met during this adventure in Japan: my superiors, Meiji staff, the other Meiji interns... I learned a lot about work thanks to my host company, but I also learned a lot about myself and about life in general thanks to the encounters and my friends from all over the world. I would like to encourage anyone who is hesitating to apply with Meiji Internships. The entire program was fantastic and I learned so much through it.

I wanted to spend a few months abroad in Asia, preferably in a Chinese speaking country as I took Chinese classes at uni. I wasn't sure yet what kind of internship I should go for. I was interested in volunteering with an NGO and also in learning about marketing and business in a big company. When I came across Meiji Internships, I saw that they were offering both, so I applied and thought I would figure out later while talking with them. In the end, I went for an internship related to marketing strategies to gain work experience for my resume. Meiji did a great job advising me and finding me a good host company in Singapore. The company i was placed with was amazing. I learned lots of new skills and got along with all my co-workers. Learning about photography and traveling to South Korea were my dreams for many years. I went to Shanghai to do a business development internship. It ended up being the best experience of my life!! I learned so many things about business, gained so many skills and met so many awesome people. This experience was really open-minding, and I am so grateful that Meiji Internships helped me finding this company. Each person in this company was welcoming and friendly, they all greeted me with a smile. Thanks to them I didn't feel any pressure on my working days and I was able to learn while having a fun and memorable stay. Shanghai is an impressive place, it was the first time for me to live in such a big city and it was a great experience. I also took advantage of being there to learn Chinese. This language is quite difficult and different from European languages but I like how it sounds!

I had the time of my life in Fukuoka. I loved the daily routine I had there. This city became a second home, and my host company was my second family. I will miss them so much. I will miss my roommates as well, we had so much fun living together in Japan. We actually didn't have a lot in common. We were from different nationalities, we didn't listen to the same music, we all had different favourite food..., but one thing was connecting all of us: our interest in Japan! This internship was an opportunity for me to gain skills in marketing and learn more about Japanese culture. I gained self-confidence when I realised that I could do things on my own without failing. I would have stayed longer if I had more time, but my one-month internship was still a wonderful experience. Doing an internship gives you a huge advantage to write down on your CV. You will have a better idea of what type of work and career you want to pursue, as well as an incredible experience that you will remember forever.

I chose to do an internship in Japan because of my uni credits and because I'm fascinated by the rich culture of Japan. I couldn't think of a better place for my internship. It was a good choice as I had an exceptional work experience in a company located in Shinjuku. I gained many skills and feel more ready than ever to find a job somehow related to Japan. Within my first days in Tokyo, I fell in love with the city, as expected! Everything was gigantic and going fast, and not once during this 3 months internship I got bored or something. I mean, there are so many things to do on your days off in such a huge city! Sightseeing everywhere, going on a shopping spree in Harajuku or Akihabara, meeting friends at a cat cafe... And talking about friends: I met the most amazing and funny girls in the world thanks to this internship! I cannot thank the staff enough for having organised those meetings with other interns every week. We created strong bonds through this adventure and explored Tokyo and its surroundings together. Love you girls!!

I had a fun and impactful work experience in Sapporo thanks to Meiji Internships. I could feel that they were doing their best to match the right intern with the right internship. I was a bit scared to feel homesick, but everything went well and I was always busy working, learning and having fun. Moreover, I wasn't alone there, as there was a Meiji community including the staff, the other interns, and some Japanese volunteers. We were going out often on weekends and listening to everyone's experience. My best memory is when we went on a weekend trip to a ski resort. We went there by bus (approximately 40 minutes from Sapporo) and I could find all the necessary equipment for rental at a reasonable price. We had so much fun and we created unforgettable memories!

I feel grateful for the experience I had in Singapore. I had a culture shock but it made me realize how much the world is vast and diverse. I grew immensely both as a young professional and as a person. I think I am more entitled to study international commerce thanks to this internship as it is necessary to understand and respect each other's culture. This internship was an amazing opportunity to actually apply what I have been taught during my academic years. I wanted to go abroad while I was still studying and had plenty of time, so I thought that doing an internship was a good option. I sent emails to several internship programmes, but Meiji Internships was the most responsive one and I had a very good first impression so I decided to keep going with them. In Bangkok, I had a great neighbourhood with shops accessible by 5 minutes walks. The locals were genuinely nice and I had lots of opportunities to talk with them and learn about their culture. Regarding the internship in itself, it was fantastic! My supervisor was a sweet and clever woman, I had a great time collaborating with her and learning from her. My internship was very rewarding and gave me a good insight into how things work in a company.

I went to Japan for two months to learn about business development and improve my Japanese skills. First of all, I improved a lot in Japanese. I chose the business package and I had online classes that helped me a lot. Plus, my working environment was half English, half Japanese. I made progress beyond expectations! I don't even have to think about the language when I have a daily conversation. The sentences come to me naturally and without hesitation! I also learnt a lot about business and management. I think I made a good choice by staying for two months because the serious business didn't start before the second month. The first month was interesting, but I lacked abilities and I always needed to ask questions and make sure I was doing the right thing. Then I started to understand everything and I was able to manage projects on my own without having someone to check on my decisions. Osaka is an impressive and awesome city with so many things to do. It is also very well located and I took the opportunity to visit Kyoto, Nara, and Himeji. Himeji castle was so beautiful, if you go there you should definitely go inside and visit the entire castle.

My internship in Hong Kong was perfect. From the workdays to the weekends' trips, I had the time of my life! My co-workers were the smartest and open-minded people I have ever met. I wasn't their first intern, they knew exactly what would be difficult or surprising for me, and acted accordingly. It was interesting to be surrounded by adults. I developed a sense of responsibility thanks to all the important tasks I was given. I feel more independent and ready to take care of myself in every situation. I tried to travel as much as possible and went out every weekend, either to meet with the meiji staff and interns or to do some tourism on my own. Here is something I have learnt from this experience: before my internship starts, I have read lots of blogs and tourism books about Hong Kong in order to prepare my stay. Yet, everything was completely different from what I have imagined. So the conclusion is that no matter how many books you have read, how many documentaries you have watched, you won't be able to understand a culture unless to go to this country and experience it by yourself.

My experience in Tokyo was incredible. Thank you very much Meiji Internships for this opportunity. I fell in love with the city while getting great skills in design. I was only there for a month, but I am so grateful for all I got to experience and I will never forget what I learned. I had a good time on the weekend activities as well which allowed me to meet awesome new friends and learn more about Japanese culture. Tokyo has been a great place to explore in my free time. It's like the city is never-ending and you always have something to do or somewhere to visit. A place I often went to was Harajuku. I love the ambiance there and how dynamic it is. It is also close to the Meiji Shrine, with my friends we always said that it was the HQ of the Meiji team lol.

I have a friend who took a gap year to travel and to do some internships. When I asked him how he ended up working in a company in Korea, he told me that he went through Meiji Internships. From what I have seen of his experience, I thought it would be a fantastic opportunity to gain knowledge and get cool memories. Well, it was way more than that. I feel completely changed, in a positive way. My internship placement was perfect for someone looking for a digital marketing experience. The time I spent there made me grow so much. I went sightseeing alone, I spoke easily to Taiwanese people and was not afraid to speak imperfect Chinese and I even went hiking in the wild nature for the first time in my life! Meiji Internships connected me with a great host company. They treated me very well and helped me to have the best experience! I made sure to take advantage of every opportunity to stay busy and learn as much as possible. This was an experience that I will never forget! Thank you so much for trusting me in this adventure!

My adventure in Vietnam was exceptional! it all began with this crazy idea of doing my internship in Asia, a part of the world that has fascinated me for a long time. When I told my friends about it, they said: "Zoe, why do you want to go so far away?" And I said: "Why not?" Now I am so ecstatic that I did it! Working in this company was particularly pleasant, every team member welcomed me with kindness and took me under their wing from the first day. They even organized a welcome party for me to get to know everybody. They were all incredibly patient with me when they were explaining to me how to do this or that. I am so glad that I chose to trust them for my internship! The last day was a bit sad. I have to admit that I don't know if I will be able to meet them all again in the future, and it was quite heartbreaking to think about that. I will do my best to visit them someday!

Doing an internship abroad is something you should definitely consider if you are looking for unforgettable and worthwhile work experience. My internship in Japan was authentic and exciting. It was exactly what I expected. I improved my Japanese tremendously and I was able to execute tasks I wouldn't have imagined. Realizing that your work is not only to practice but will also be useful for your host company is extremely motivating. I also did a lot of tourism! The first thing I went to see was the Gundam statue in Odaiba! I also checked out the Sumida River, the Senso temple, a Japanese garden called Hama Rikyu... Unfortunately, I couldn't get a ticket for the Ghibli Museum. That's too bad because I really wanted to go there. But let's see this as an excuse to travel to Japan again :p

I did a tourism internship in Fukuoka in late 2019. Most of my work was about answering customers' questions on the internet, on the phone or at the hotel, as well as managing bookings and reservations. I also did some marketing through social media like Instagram and Facebook which was really fun to do. The working environment wasn't stressful at all allowing me to be productive and dynamic! We went on a weekend trip to takachiho, the most beautiful place I have ever seen! Japan's sceneries are gorgeous, one of the most splendid countries I have ever visited. Wandering the streets of Fukuoka is an adventure in itself. My favorite place was the daimyo area. So many students - so many shops - so much to do!

I am interested in marketing because I like to know what people might think, and what is happening in their brains. I know, when said like that it's a bit weird lol! In high school, I was very interested in psychology, finding good words for convincing people, and trying to know what they were expecting from me. My cousin, who studied business, told me that I should try studying marketing. That's what I am doing at the moment and this internship was really helpful in order to get concrete experience. This internship brought me the keys I was looking for and permitted me to correct my wrong habits. I found out that it's way easier to learn when you are actually working. You need to think, try, observe the results and learn from it. It is easier and quicker than sitting on a chair at uni and trying to understand concepts. AND, the bonus when you are doing it abroad: learning a language and traveling. What could be more perfect than that?? I mean, no I can't speak Japanese fluently of course, but I understand the world better, I gained independence and having this kind of abroad experience is a precious asset when you are studying things like marketing, international business, etc.

I loved my internship and I loved being part of the Meiji family. Each intern was so nice, and the staff was fantastic and supportive. I thought I would miss my home country, my family in Australia... but, sorry mum, I didn't miss anything! Time flew by and my internship passed in a blink of an eye. I left this adventure a different person than when I said goodbye to my family at the airport 3 months ago. I am more independent, confident, skilled, I know how to communicate with a team and how to overcome difficulties. I also know what is important in life, like friendship, tolerance and enjoying every second of my life. I learnt a lot in terms of design, but the most important thing I learnt is that you can have the best salary in the world, if you are not enjoying what you are doing, you won't be able to live your life to the fullest. This internship was thrilling, and I was the happiest girl in the world during those 3 months!

I am a very curious person. I want to taste every food, visit every country, understand every culture... so I decided to come to Thailand to satisfy my curiosity about this country! And I did! I explored food markets, did trekking to observe nature and find my limits, went to work and acquired many skills and experience... Contacting Meiji Internships was the best decision I've made in a while because they motivated me to take action and not give up mid-way. I enjoyed taking part in weekly activities. It was nice to meet other interns and talk about our different stories and experiences at work. I was amazed to realise how every intern had their own stories and difficulties in their life. All the people that gathered during those meetings were people who took risks, who challenged themselves and ended up in a foreign country doing something valuable for their lives. Meeting them was always very motivating! :)

Joining a professional team, and learning about my industry of interest was amazing. The projects that caused me to do errors were the most interesting because I learned many lessons from them. I learned a lot about my strengths and my weaknesses. For example, I now know that team work is not something natural to me and that I have to be careful and work on it to become more efficient. Staying for only one month was a bit short, there are still many places I wanted to visit and things I wanted to experience at work. That's probably the only thing I would change if I had to do it again: I would stay longer. Don't be afraid to ask for work or to find it yourself and be prepared to learn big amounts of information. I guarantee that you will have the time of your life!

I was in Osaka for 8 weeks. The best 8 weeks of my life! Here is one piece of advice if you are going to do an internship: Don't be afraid to talk to new people, don't be shy and take advantage of every situation. You will have many opportunities to travel, do some activities with other interns, go out with your colleagues... those opportunities will let you create the best memories bonding with people who might become your closest friends. We were two interns at my company. Jenna was working on the website design while I was doing research about tourism in Osaka and establishing contact with new potential partners. They allowed me to take part in important meetings with big hotels, restaurants and other tourism companies which were the most instructive experiences. Sometimes it was hard to accept that some partnerships that you invested time and energy in wouldn't succeed in the end, but I learnt a great deal through those experiences!

It is very exciting to meet people who are very passionate about their work. The skills and experience I got during this internship will be a huge advantage for me when I am on my job hunt. Taiwan is a very beautiful country and Meiji internships gave me the chance to explore it while providing me with all the support I needed. I personally did not have much experience in traveling on my own in a foreign country so I wouldn't have gone far without their help. The staff is very approachable and always ready to grab for a bite after work. What I will miss most about Taiwan is, first of all, the people. My father says that in order to succeed in life, you need to get close to positive people who are pushing you. I think I finally met those people. I will also miss the nature and food. I was having so much fun in tasting new food every day and sightseeing around.

This program is excellent for travelers who want to have work experience while traveling and understanding Japanese culture. Really, this experience was life-changing. Having the chance to explore Fukuoka and learn about its culture and history by interacting with the local communities was amazing. It taught me how to be open-minded and respectful and I think you should listen to your heart as well and go for this adventure without fear! The Meiji community was the best! Everyone was kind-hearted and I made friends for life. They encouraged me and pushed me to be the best I could be. Thanks to them and to my host company, I've gained confidence in my own abilities and potential. Mata ne Fukuoka~~

Trusting Meiji Internships was the best choice! My host company was great and in particular my tutor was one of kind which made my stay really fun and conducive to making progress. Having the opportunity to do an internship in Japan is absolutely amazing, and working alongside professionals was very meaningful to me. I learnt a great deal from them and I appreciate everything they did for me. My company was a big trading corporation in Osaka. As Japan is making a lot of import from overseas, this kind of experience is a good way to find a job in Japan later on, after my graduation. Finding an internship in Japan was not the easy way. Most of my friends interned in Europe, but I needed something more challenging. What a great undertaking!

Meiji Internships has been a great support during this adventure, arranging my accommodation, my sim card and of course finding me a wonderful placement in a Korean company. Meeting with the other interns and the staff every week was a real pleasure, and listening to everyone's experience was very inspiring. I enjoyed learning a lot of new things, about business, Korean culture and language, and meeting new people. The company was located near the center of Seoul which was convenient whenever I wanted to hang out after work. Taking part in this program was an investment in my future, the cultural immersion was amazing and gaining so many skills in such a short time is priceless.

I had personal feedback on my resume which was really helpful because I wasn't confident about it before. I asked the staff tons of questions before the online interview with my employer and they were always replying promptly and nicely. When I arrived, everything was already ready for me. I arrived on Friday and started going to work on Monday. I was so stressed on the first day that I went there like 40 minutes in advance! But that's okay, I prefer being early than late. The first day was chill, they showed me the office around, I met the staff and ate lunch with them. In the afternoon I started looking into the database, reading some past emails and asking a lot of questions. I had more things to do after a few days, I appreciated that they gave me some time to get used to my new environment before showing me everything. I wished I could speak Japanese better because everybody in the company wasn't able to speak English. Everyone on my team (the marketing team) could speak English though.

This experience was extremely rewarding and motivated me to study more about teaching in order to become a great teacher. I was so happy to spend time with the children, but also with the teachers who taught me so many things. Working with children is not always easy, because they sometimes don't know how to express their feelings, and you have to understand it yourself in order to teach them well and take good care of them. Thanks to the teachers I can now understand them better. As the culture is different, their behavior might be different as well. This internship was a good challenge for me, and I hope the children will remember me because I will go to Taiwan to see them in the future, for sure!

I interned in a fashion brand company in Seoul. It was not a very big team, there were only 5 to 6 people in the office. But interning with a small team was a good chance to take part in the design process quickly. I did a lot of research about the company during the first two days to get familiar with their style and their philosophy, and then they let me help them designing clothes. It was so interesting to see the whole process right from the start to becoming actual products! Taking Korean classes at uni was a good advantage. My Korean level is not that good, but good enough to be able to talk about daily topics with Korean people, at the restaurant for example. The events and activities were great, the accommodation was perfectly located, approximately 20 minutes from the company, not too far from Hongdae as well. I made a lot of friends in Hongdae when hanging out in bars after work.

This is a great program as it supports to redeem university credits. They provide a business workshop to tell something about Japanese business culture. The placement is based on best matches. They provide a 2000 Japanese Yen transportation card and certain amount of data. There were activities arranged during the placement. The response of the email is quick. The CEO himself is a nice person.

My internship in Tokyo was a very good experience. Finding an internship abroad on your own is quite a challenge tbh. I really wanted to go abroad while at uni, but didn't really feel like doing a semester at some uni somewhere. Mainly because I was kind of sick of studying day and night and REALLY needed to see something new. So I talked to people and did some research. An internship seemed like the perfect opportunity for me. My uni doesn't have any collaborations, so I had to find one on my own. Luckily, I came across Meiji and they helped me a lot. Idk if my experience would have been as great as it was without them. So THANK YOU! You nailed it! because I loved my internship every step of the way!

Meiji Internships did a great job in organizing my stay in Singapore, and many activities with some other participants of the program. Meeting people from all over the world was an incredible experience that I didn't anticipate. I knew that working abroad would bring me many skills and change my way of working and seeing the world. But honestly, not only the work but the people you meet is something that might change your life forever. Singapore is a beautiful place gathering different cultures, religions, and ethnicities. This internship made me realized that our world is beautiful and that you can't realize how much it is precious by staying at home and watching some documentaries on your computer or on your phone. You have to go outside, and experience the real world !
