Where in Maynooth University located?
Maynooth is located approximately 50 minutes by bus from Dublin International Airport. We advise students to fly to Dublin Airport from their home country. We will offer airport transfers on 1st day of the program.
Should I bring bedlinen /towels /cooking utensils ?
No, Bed linen, duvets, and towels are provided and changed weekly, and the apartments are serviced regularly by housekeeping.
The apartments are stocked with basic crockery and cutlery.
What additional costs can I expect to have?
Allow between €600 and €800 for cost of living expenses (excluding accommodation and breakfast & lunch Mon-Fri). This is an estimate only and will depend on each student’s individual needs.
Do I need a VISA to attend the Summer School?
If you are a citizen of the EU, the U.S., or Canada, you do not require a visa as the summer school is less than 90 days in duration. When you complete your payment of the programme fee, you will be issued with an acceptance letter, which we recommend you bring to the airport with you on arrival in the country.
Where will I live during the programme?
You will be living in a self-catering apartment with 4 other summer school students on Maynooth University North Campus. This is just 5 mins walk to your classes
