I had an awesome time with Maximo Nivel Online. I have previously taken an in-person immersion course with Maximo Nivel in Guatemala, and I am glad to say it was worthwhile to return virtually. While the online format can introduce occasional technical difficulties, the experience was generally positive and useful. My teacher, Paula, was an excellent conversationalist and good at identifying concepts I was struggling with and needed to review. All in all, I would recommend the course to anyone who is unable to travel for immersion.

I studied Spanish in University, but it was a long time ago. This year I really wanted to become fluent in Spanish. I am discovering that it really is a passion of mine. I started looking online and found Maximo Nivel. It is the best decision I have made to improve my Spanish. The classes are fantastic, my teachers are just wonderful people, and I have enjoyed getting to know them better. The price is great too and there are so many ways to learn. You can take private classes, group classes or take a trip. I'm so thankful that I found Maximo Nivel!

A great opportunity if you cannot travel to the countries where Maximo Nivel is hosted, they have variety teachers who can customize you sessions especially if they are private. I advise general conversation before, during, and after the lessons.

I am enjoying my hour-long twice a week Zoom Spanish lessons. My instructor is fun to converse with. She skillfully presents concepts with Zoom and Google doc features. I appreciate the other opportunities Maximo Nivel offers for practicing Spanish conversations.

I'm in my 3rd month of online classes with Maximo Nivel. They always have times convenient for me and the instructors have been wonderful. Ana is patient, kind and makes it fun. I already am able to understand my Spanish speakers at school and am even able to respond and they can understand me. This is a great program!

Hi, I went to guatemala for 2 weeks and it was an amazing experience and help propel my spanish to new heights. The virtual classes are doing the same to review, mintain, nd expand what I have already learned. They know how to teach its just up to you to know how to learn.

I have a great time with my online instructor Julio! I really wanted to focus on conversation, and we spend a lot of our class time talking about various things - what we like, what we've recently been doing, what we plan to do in the next few days. It's been really helpful in finding applicable vocabulary to learn and practice in addition to the general grammar and vocabulary that comes with the Maximo Nivel syllabus. Julio is also really patient and keeps the lesson light and fun.

I did a little bit of everything with Maximo- I first volunteered to teach ESL in San Jose and then I also explored Quepos and took language classes in person. The teachers and host families I work with were so friendly and accommodating as well as the Maximo staff. I decided to continue my language learning through online classes and am still enrolled year later. You build a rapport with all the people at Maximo and they will tailor your experience to what you want to do whether that’s teaching, volunteering, adventuring, or learning Spanish. For me it was a little bit of everything so I was very pleased with my experience because they had all the things I wanted to do. In the future I hope to go abroad with Maximo again but in Peru. I also want to stress that this experience is for all ages. I went in my 30s and thought I would only be with kids in a gap year but I met everyone from college kids to families wanting to volunteer together to young adults like me. I recommend Maximo for anyone wanting to gain an immersion experience, learn a new language from home, or go aboard.

I attended in-person classes in Costa Rica for eight weeks followed by ongoing classes online for the past three months. I can carry on basic conversations in Spanish already and have a good understanding of grammatical rules, especially for verb tenses. I plan to continue online - and maybe return in person occasionally - until I am fluent. Maximo Nivel has been flexible with scheduling to work around other obligations while allowing me to continue my studies. I highly recommend their program!

For someone who studied Spanish in school and learned almost nothing and then learned much on my own as an adult, this online program is helping to fill in the gaps. My teacher is incredibly patient, and there is a great mix of exercises- listening, reading, writing and speaking. It's challenging but also doable. It's different from using other sites to practice speaking b/c of the curriculum they follow. For me, that and the live feedback have been beneficial in figuring out my weaknesses. I have appreciated how practical and yet relaxed the classes have been. Highly recommend!!

My language skills are growing quickly and I plan to take ongoing classes. Excellent teachers and organization! The personalized program allows for inastructors to meet you at your level and take you forward talking about your life and experiences. It's a great way to learn.

I started off with essentially no Spanish skills, and I have come such a long way! My instructor, Norma, is incredibly kind and patient, and it is clear that she really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. I was initially concerned about not being able to communicate with a teacher who does not speak English, but this has actually been the best way to learn. By having actual conversations completely in Spanish, supplemented with the textbook, a personalized google doc, and worksheets, I have been able to make a lot of progress. I will definitely be continuing with the program, and I am hopeful that I will be able to reach a level of fluency that I never thought would be possible as an adult with such little language background.

I have been taking daily lessons for a couple of months, and am really enjoying them. My instructor, Gaby, is really friendly and helpful and makes the lessons fun. At the same time, she pushes me just a little bit out of my comfort level, which is really helping me learn in a more meaningful way. I am excited about the progress I am making.

I've attended in person classes at Maximo Nivel in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica and online afterwards. It's been a wonderful experience so far as my conversational skills have improved significantly! I'd highly recommend this school to anyone looking to improve their conversational Spanish skills.

It's very different to traditional Spanish education because you are put with someone who doesn't speak much English. This is great because it provides a different challenge which has taught me a lot about conversations in Spanish and much more. Definitely a great program for people who want to challenge themselves and learn more!

Gaby helped me to improve my Spanish grammar and speaking confidence immensely! She was patient and very encouraging. The option to do virtual lessons was perfect for my schedule as I work during the day.
