Get PADI-certified in Peru with Maximo Nivel’s expert instructors and earn the world’s most respected scuba credentials. Your certification is internationally recognized, opening the door to incredible dive adventures and a whole new way to explore the world beneath the ocean’s surface. The PADI Open Water Diver Certification is a flexible, performance-based course that can be completed in 3-5 days. The Scuba Certification includes three phases: 1. Knowledge Development 2. Confined Water Dives 3. Open Water Dives Throughout the course, your PADI Instructor focuses on helping you become a confident and comfortable diver. Not sure if scuba diving is for you? The Scuba Discovery Course lets you test the waters with a 2-day introduction, including a pool practice session and two open-water dives under the guidance of a professional instructor.

What are the program requirements?
– Physically fit
– Basic swimming skills; comfortable in the water
– Able to swim 200 meters unassisted
– All scuba equipment is provided, but you may choose to bring your own mask, snorkel, and fins
– All surf equipment is provided, but feel free to bring your own board
Where will I be diving in Peru?
The Peru diving program takes place in Mancora, located on the northern Pacific coast. Here the Niño and Humboldt currents merge, providing for abundant marine life below the surface. These waters are home to over 2,700 marine species, including a wide variety of fish and marine mammals. Divers see green sea turtles, porcupine fish, angelfish, Emperor fish, octopuses, seahorses, and more.
Can I combine the Scuba program with other Maximo Nivel programs?
Yes! You can easily pair your scuba certification with Spanish Immersion, Volunteer Abroad, TEFL Certification, or an International Internship to build a fully customized study abroad experience.
