Started in 2009 with nine students and one elephant in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Loop Abroad now welcomes hundreds of students over dozens of programs with an uncompromising focus on supporting animals in need and partnering only with ethical, local organizations with strong reputations in the animal conservation community-at-large. We are a student travel organization that began with a singular focus – provide hands-on learning experiences for students pursuing a career working with animals. We have done this by partnering with world-renowned conservationists in their efforts to protect endangered animals. While our programs and geography have expanded, we remain committed to global animal welfare. We aim to make a positive impact on animal welfare and wildlife conservation around the w...

Loop Abroad
January 19, 2018by: Kaitlin T - United StatesProgram: Thailand College Pre-Vet Medicine
I was lucky enough to travel to Thailand twice with loop abroad. The founders are always present and personally greet students when they arrived. Everyone on the loop Abroad staff were very personable and walked me and my family through every step of the application and travel process. Traveling abroad is a daunting experience but loop Abroad made me feel incredibly safe and welcome!

Amazing trip
January 19, 2018by: Summer strader - United StatesProgram: Thailand College Pre-Vet Medicine
The trip was amazing. Not only was the culture incredible to learn about but the material taught in the classroom setting was from trained professionals. Honestly the best part about the trip was the people. The staff was incredible and always made sure we were safe, happy, and having fun. Any issues were immediately addressed. I could not have asked for a better program.
Once in a lifetime!

I seriously never wanted to leave this trip! The leader of our group was awesome the girls that were in the group were awesome and the experience itself was awesome. Safety was their biggest priority which was a high turn on in my parents decision to let me go on this trip! The food was another thing I wasn’t sure about but it was all so amazing.

I grew up wanting to help animals abroad as volunteer work, not a career. However, after I decided I wanted to become a veterinarian a couple years ago, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to travel abroad, gain animal experience, and help animals in need.
