A great experience!
December 23, 2024by: Kavita Shah - United KingdomProgram: Work with Wildlife in Cameroon: Limbe Wildlife CentreI volunteered here for a month and had such a great time I will definitely be going back for longer. I've learnt so much and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. As a vet nurse I was given many opportunities to practice and develop my skills, all whilst learning new things. I can't wait to be back!
Life-changing experience
December 21, 2024by: Lise-Marie De Ryck - BelgiumProgram: Work with Wildlife in Cameroon: Limbe Wildlife CentreI arrived alone in the LWC and left 3 months later with a backpack full of friendships and a heart full of wonderfully beautiful memories. A lot of things I got to do, I had never done before and were really "once in a lifetime" experiences for me. Working with the animals, cleaning and feeding them, the excursions we took, being absorbed in a culture that was totally unknown to me and the connections we made with the locals and other volunteers. Besides these wonderful experiences, I also developed a life-changing mindset: perseverance, enjoying small things, doing everything you can do ... and just being yourself (authenticity) is what is most appreciated. I look full of admiration at the organization and especially at the people who ensure that what they do now is possible and continue to take on daily tasks with passion. In fact, it was so breathtaking for me that I returned last summer for several weeks.♡

An unforgettable experience
December 17, 2024by: rowena facee schaeffer - NetherlandsProgram: Work with Wildlife in Cameroon: Limbe Wildlife CentreAn unforgettable experience. I even went back a few times and now support them from home. The rescued primates are very well cared for, and you can put all your skills to use because they can really use all the help they can get. The staff is incredibly friendly and grateful. The work can be tough at times, but it is so rewarding. In the evenings, you have plenty of time and space to explore the city, either with other volunteers or staff. I highly recommend it to everyone.
