Learn International

I was seeking an Internship abroad, to enhance my CV and discover a new country, but then due to the pandemic, I decided to opt for a Virtual Internship. I worked from home in Italy, but with Learn International was like being in Ireland, thanks to all the cultural tips received! I really enjoyed this experience, it was also challenging and professional. I had the opportunity to work in a friendly and flexible context, and I feel to have learned a lot. I can't wait to go to Ireland in person to meet the LI Team!

I absolutely loved my internship experience with Learn International. I developed a number of skills related to my career aspirations, as well as general (transferrable) skills. I interned with Learn International themselves. They were really friendly and welcoming and made me feel part of the team. The orientation before starting was really useful to make sure I was prepared for my internship and would know what to expect. I'm glad I took part in this internship as I think I gained some really valuable experience and learned how to work in an office environment remotely. Would definitely recommend!

Due to Covid-19, my internship changed from in-person to remote. I was very happy that my internship placement worked with me to continue my internship and not postpone my initial plans. My virtual internship allowed me to gain knowledge and skills pertaining to my career plan. I was able to take on independent projects and feel apart of the company team. Communication was fluid with morning team calls, quick email responses, daily check ins with my supervisor and weekly check ins with company co-founders.

I am currently in the middle of my virtual internship with Learn International and am really please with how it is going. This opportunity appeared at the perfect time, while stuck in lockdown, and meant that I was able to gain experience for my CV while everything else was closed. The virtual aspect of the internship was something I was unsure of but has actually turned into a really great part of the internship as I don't have to travel, can wear comfy clothes and am in the comfort of my own home. The Learn International staff have all been really friendly and helpful, and the orientation process made starting the internship easier as I felt I was well prepared. I would definitely recommend their internship programme and not let the virtual aspect worry you as I have learnt great transferrable skills for a different type of working!

During the uncertain times of a worldwide pandemic, I felt lost and uncertain of how to proceed in my career. So many of my friends had internships cancelled on them and the job market felt like a total loss. I feel incredibly lucky, and so thankful, that I found Learn International. Having their guidance and expertise for a virtual internship changed my perspective on just what I could do when I was stuck at home and thought I could do nothing at all.
