School Teacher at a Liberian Refugee Camp in Ghana

This teaching program focuses on helping local teachers at Chrida Faith Foundation Academy, a school within a refugee camp. There are about 130 students (all of Liberian origin) but only a few teachers. The school is 5–10 minutes away (by foot) from the volunteer house. We are in constant contact with the director and she is delighted to be part of this project and welcomes anyone passionate about teaching. Volunteers help in classes and teach different subjects. They also bring the school supplies, which we give them. LAMSA also collaborates with Harmony Disability Centre, a teaching center for disabled children.
