We invite volunteers to join our Rural Women’s Empowerment & Community Enterprise Program in Rural Village. This initiative supports women’s groups engaged in small-scale poultry keeping, communal farming, and informal savings activities that help strengthen household income and community resilience. Volunteers assist with light daily farm tasks such as feeding chickens, refilling water containers, checking cages, and supporting activities in the communal vegetable garden. In addition, volunteers are welcome to participate in weekly women’s group meetings where members discuss savings models, share business ideas, and explore small enterprise opportunities. Participants with interest in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, marketing, bookkeeping, or social media for small businesses can share ideas and support discussions that help women strengthen their economic independence. This program offers a meaningful rural immersion experience for volunteers interested in community development, women’s empowerment, and village life. The peaceful setting also allows time to explore nearby attractions around Lake Victoria, including Rusinga Island and scenic local landscapes.
