Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) in Egypt

Head to exotic Cairo, Egypt, and learn the written form of the Arabic language. Take the Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), which is used in all Arab countries and derived from Classic Arabic – the language of the Holy Quran. MSA or 'Fus'ha' is used in academia and the formal media such as newspapers. This means that you’re able to follow Middle Eastern current affairs and read Arabic literature and Islamic texts as you progress.

The course focuses on Listening, Speaking, Pronunciation, Reading, Writing, Vocabulary, and Grammar and is integrated with fun activities.

IH Cairo uses a combination of in-house teaching materials and textbooks to facilitate learning. We use Al-Kitaab Book Series published by Georgetown university press, which are commercially available. We have also developed supplementary educational resources to enhance the learning experience and complement our textbook series.

Each MSA level is 60 Hours. You can book a 2-week course, which is equivalent to half a level. The MSA Course runs from Sunday to Thursday, lasting 3 hours per session.
