Empowered by Hands-On Conservation and Unforgettable Global Connections

Before starting my program, I received a good level of support from both my Program Manager & In-Country Internship Coordinator - they were very helpful! They answered all my emails and set up Zoom calls to answer my questions. I felt prepared before starting the program because the staff was caring, answered all my questions, and provided me with all the information I needed. I feel more empowered in the field of Biology and environmental science. I saw that both small and big efforts help make a difference. For example, our nightly patrol walks and relocating the sea turtle eggs intrigued me to keep exploring this field. I also appreciated the small efforts of doing beach cleanups and sorting the recycling. I look forward to learning more about how to protect our world and the animals living on it, while continuing to take action. My favorite memory from this program was most definitely the people I met. Everyone was so kind, and I got to make connections with people I would have never met if I hadn't done this program. I met people from all around the world and learned about their cultures.
