As soon as possible, we require a minimum of 60 days' notice to plan and coordinate placements for our Nepal internships.
When is the remaining Balance of my Program Fees due?
The remaining Balance of your Program Fees for the Nepal internships is due 70 days before your internship start date.
What is the accommodation like for the Nepal internships?
All interns in Kathmandu are accommodated within a dedicated guest house. Bedding and furnishings are provided. In most cases, between four to six guests can be accommodated per bedroom. Bedroom allocations are single-sex, although the houses themselves can accommodate mixed genders. Bedrooms are lockable and guests have access to their own private lockers. Common areas, such as living and kitchen areas are shared.
Do I need to speak Nepali to participate in the Nepal programs?
The internship is conducted in English. A language barrier could be encountered to a certain extent. Come prepared and willing to surmount a language barrier (and ask for help when needed), as opposed to being intimidated by it.
Are meals included in the Nepal programs?
Internships in Nepal include two meals per day - daily breakfast and dinner - provided via the internship accommodation. Lunch is not included through the internship program. Meals in Nepal can be very affordable when purchased from local establishments.
