Program Overview

Barcelona is the most populous city in Catalonia and the second-largest city in Spain. The city hosts thousands of tourists and other visitors each month, making Barcelona the perfect place to seek an internship in the Tourism and Hospitality industry. You can work for a local travel agency, lead tours around the city, or even work in a hotel.

The city sees an annual average of 30 million tourists, with numbers steadily growing every year. The Sagrada Familia, one of Barcelona's best-known attractions, is visited by three million tourists every year. With its flourishing artistic scene and scores of well-known restaurants, Barcelona is ground zero for one of Europe's most successful tourism industries. A Tourism internship in Barcelona may mean that you will work with an expat housing agency, an established restaurant or boutique hotel, or a cultural digital magazine.
