About Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre

Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre is a wildlife facility that was founded on a strong and deep passion for conservation and the sustainability of rare, vulnerable, and threatened species in South Africa. HESC approaches all of their conservation efforts in a holistic manner, including everything from education of communities and tourism, to education of anti-poaching and rehabilitation. HESC has the vision of nurturing social transformation in order to lead to a place of sustainability in their efforts. HESC works to acknowledge and spread awareness of the impact of and interconnections people have on/with their environment. The center does work in research, breeding endangered species, education, tourism, releasing of captive bred cheetahs, treatment and rehabilitation, and anti-poaching efforts.
