FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to all the most common questions about Himalayan Sanctuary Adventure.

Do I need a visa to visit Nepal?

Yes. Citizens from most countries get an on-arrival visa at Tribhuvan International Airport or in specific government offices along Indian or Tibetan borders. You can find more information about visas on Nepal's immigration website.

Do I need insurance for the trek?

We request all trekkers to send their detailed insurance policy once they book with us. During emergencies, we will use the insurance policy and information documents you sent us for a quick, effective rescue operation and transfer for emergency medical help.

How much pocket money do I need while in Nepal?

All our valuable clients will have to bring personal spending money to cover meals and accommodations in Kathmandu, lunch and dinner in Pokhara, visa fees, travel insurance policy purchase, beverages, snacks for the trek, hot (tea, coffee) and cold drinks, tips for crew members, souvenirs, etc. We recommend you bring cash (major currencies) and exchange them for Nepalese Rupees.

How difficult is the trek?

The Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake hike is challenging. The hiking generally lasts 4 to 7 hours daily, with regular breaks to soak in the stunning mountain views. Trek routes in the Annapurna region involve long climbs, steep descents, and straightforward roads. Past hiking experience would be an added advantage, but no technical experience or skills are necessary.

Can I obtain a visa for Nepal on arrival at the airport ?

Yes, you can obtain a visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. A tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 30 days can be obtained by paying US $40 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, a Tourist Visa with Multiple entries for 90 days can be obtained by paying US $100. Please bring 2 copies of passport-size photos.
