Join a hands-on marine conservation program in Mikindani, Southern Tanzania. Help restore damaged coral reefs through coral transplantation, nursery maintenance, reef monitoring and other field activities. No diving experience is required: scuba training is included, allowing beginners to take part underwater. Beyond the reef, contribute to marine education, beach clean-ups, citizen science and local conservation initiatives.

Program Highlights

Take direct action restoring damaged coral reefs through coral transplantation, nursery care, monitoring and maintenance alongside our conservation team.
Build your scuba diving skills while making them useful: beginners receive training, while certified divers can progress to their next level.
Learn marine conservation by doing it, from coral ecology and reef threats to restoration techniques, field monitoring and citizen science.
Go beyond coral restoration through beach clean-ups, marine education, sustainable livelihood initiatives and other activities driven by local needs.
Experience authentic coastal Tanzania in historic Mikindani, working with a small local team away from mass tourism and discovering life beyond the usual tourist trail.
