CIEE Open Campus Block In Paris

I have truly had an amazing experience throughout my time abroad in this program. I have met the coolest people, and I have also taken amazing classes. There is also so much time to be independent and travel the world with no restraints while also learning!

Studying abroad, such as in Paris, France, has changed my perspective on the world and ways to learn. I didn’t know much about some countries and classes being based on a world view was really nice and kept things interesting.

The CIEE advisors are extremely helpful and easy to deal with. When I had questions, and I had many, I was always met with quick responses. I found this to be true even in the midst of a global pandemic that is making travel for any reason very difficult. Despite the challenges, CIEE helped me study abroad and I’m sure they can do the same for many other students!

I thought the program was very well organized. I enjoyed the planned excursions and also was happy to go on the weekly excursions. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable in Paris. I enjoyed the apartment I stayed in however, I wish there was more help with the student apartments because we had to buy all the cleaning supplies, food, toiletries, etc. while the home-stays had all of this provided for the same price.

Many reasons...to name a few; Linda and JP...well, in fact, all of CIEE staff is too notch in all possible categories. The group and class excursions are fantastically planned and involve important as well as unknown but interesting places. All in all, well rounded and excellently designed and executed program.

It's a well planned and structured program with lots of opportunities for new experiences and learning in and out of the class room setting. It over all helps people connect with France and Paris in a way they normally wouldn't have the opportunity to do so.

I would be likely to recommend CIEE Study Abroad because it gives the opportunity to have an internship, get volunteer experience, meet with other french students, and also participate in monthly and weekly excursions. I also believe that the CIEE staff in France are very friendly and are truly there to ensure that the interests of the students are met.

I really enjoyed the program and it offered a lot of interesting things to a student studying abroad for the first time. I wish there were language classes offered at a different time or higher level "Survival French" courses offered alongside your regular courses. I wish I had been able to take more French classes or lessons, but it did not fit into my requirements. Being able to take a lunchtime class a few days a week would have been very helpful, however the survival french was too low of a level for me.

It was a wonderful experience and CIEE did a great job with the study tours, giving us recommendations for travel and activities and made this amazing semester possible. The staff was involved, but gave us enough room to do our own thing and create our own unique experience!

I think it being the first year, there were a lot of kinks that need to be worked out with the open campus program. It was an amazing time studying abroad but the academics were at times disappointing with how they were run and how busy it is. I thought there would be more time for travel and exploring the city, but it is a very strict schedule...unlike most study abroad programs.

CIEE did an amazing job of giving us all the tools we needed to make the most of out study abroad experience. We were provided with study trips, lists of activities and authentic restaurants, opportunities to be physically and mentally active. I have enjoyed my first 6 weeks and I am excited for my next block in Paris.

I would stress the heavy workload to them and make sure that they understand it is a more rigorous workload over a shorter time frame. Also would make them understand there is not much time to freely travel as I was quite disappointed to find that out once i arrived abroad.

It was a great experience and the staff were very friendly. With the global scholar program I got to see three very different cities in europe and experience the European culture as a whole differently.

This program is very all-inclusive; it comes with study trips, a lot of food (host family), and gives you the opportunity to go to a ton of countries. It literally opens the world to you. The staff has been incredible. I have felt safe and supported during my time here.

Overall, it was a great program and it has a great reputation. It is more academically rigorous than other study abroad programs, so I would recommend it to those who are interested in working a bit harder.

I think CIEE is a great program for learning but also having the ability to really get to know a foreign city. After just 6 weeks I am very comfortable in paris and would definitely recommend the program

6 Week classes is great because it gives you the opportunity the travel within the city as well as surrounding places and then with CIEE you have the opportunity to travel and take classes elsewhere after.
