The CIEE CDSJ program I believe has been very integral to my learning experience and professional growth. Learning about the social and economic landscape of South Africa through the academic and social components of the program. Acknowledging that a perfect experience, especially in a study abroad context, is highly unlikely; the CIEE experience was not a perfect one but a good and transformative one I would say.
