I would be likely to recommend CIEE study abroad to a friend/peer because the experience was truly once-in-a-lifetime and I had so many incredible experiences and grew so much as a person. I would recommend this experience to anyone who has the chance and means.

I had the best experience with my host family, friends, traveling and living in Spain. CIEE was the perfect program to experience as much as Spain has to offer, from excursions, to meeting with Spaniards, to interesting classes. I cannot say enough good things about this program! Gracia por todo!

Truly helped integrate us into the city!

The CIEE Seville program has had a huge impact on my experience here. I mean, I can't imagine coming to Sevilla without doing it through CIEE. I mean, they don't just facilitate your paperwork and offer classes, but they also really try to help you integrate into the city. I've met other erasmus students in classes and just out and about, and I don't think they have had the same experience because they did not have someone like CIEE helping them along the way. 100% recommend to anyone and everyone!

The program advisors are so attentive and have always advocated for me. The CIEE center is beautiful and the events are plentiful and always well done. I love how there's no shame in learning the local language with them. Also -- all of guides are like my besties! love CIEE

CIEE was a great program, I felt very safe while traveling here. I love how we were delivered to our host families and picked up at the airport as a group. I also loved all the activities that were planned to meet new people. I think orientation was the best thing as I met a group of lifelong friends.

Great Experience If You Get Into The Community!

April 17, 2013by: Martha Nielsen

This was a great program that provided a lot of opportunities for students academically and socially. However, you get out of it what you put in: meeting Spaniards and getting involved in the community is something you have to make an effort to do. CIEE provides the opportunities, but expects its students to take the initiative. Overall, this program was very good academically and provided a lot of activities.

Sevilla: A Life-Changer!

May 27, 2011by: Keith Born

The CIEE program in Sevilla takes place in a beautiful, renovated colonial home in a historic part of the city. Just the walk there is enchanting in itself. The program is extremely well administered, with staff from Spain, the U.S. and some from other parts of the world all very specialized in certain skills and working to make the student experience exceptional. There was a perfect amount of excursions and social activities to allow participants to see essential parts of southern Spain, but not so many that there wasn't time to travel independently. There were plenty of opportunities to meet locals through various social activities and exchanges, as well as a thorough orientation at the start of the program that paired a group of students with a local guide who showed them around the city and took them under their wing. Overall, an exceptional program in a location prime for Spanish language and culture acquisition. Bien hecho, CIEE!
