Life changing experience

September 17, 2025by: Natanja K - Switzerland

In the beginning, I wasn’t sure if going to Kenya for a social project was the right decision. But from the very first call with Tom, I felt an instant sense of trust and warmth. I was welcomed with open arms and felt part of something meaningful right away. The experience truly changed my life — whether it was hearing the touching stories of the children, working on the streets, or speaking in schools. Every moment was deeply moving, and I always felt safe, supported, and cared for. I can wholeheartedly recommend this journey.

Why do I need to apply?

Because we work with vulnerable children, we conduct background checks and interview calls before confirming placements. This process ensures the safety and well-being of those we serve.

What information will you ask for?

Your contact information, which program(s) you’re interested in, what date you wish to start, and some details about your background. Prior experience is not required; most participants are first timers!

What should I do if I'm considering multiple programs?

No problem! Simply follow the application process. During your interview call, you'll have the chance to discuss which tasks and activities you'd like to participate in during your stay. Our volunteer coordinator will guide you through the process.
