Program Highlights
Askari is found on a large big 5 wilderness reserve, which provides volunteers with the opportunity to view and monitor some of Africa's iconic animals including: wild dog, cheetah, elephant and lion.
The Askari house provides comfortable accommodation for volunteers comprising of single beds with an electricity port, an en suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, curio shop and office area.
The Askari programme is comprised of many different activities during your stay, activities include: faecal assessments, bush sleep out, vulture nest monitoring, road maintenance, 4x4 driving etc.
Included in your rate at Askari is a day trip with Askari staff to the Kruger National Park and elephant museum, as well as a trip to the magnificent 3500 year old Giant Baobab Tree.
Volunteers leave Askari with a sense of accomplishment having contributed to conservation, the goals of the reserve and witnessing animal sightings that will last a life time.
