Frequently Asked Questions

Will I have a guaranteed internship?

Yes! ABI will guarantee an internship offer within your destination and field of interest. Both will be defined and confirmed during your application interview. If the decision is not to move forward with the internship offer provided by our program, we will be under no obligation to guarantee an alternative offer.

Is the internship paid?

While we encourage partner companies to offer paid internships, payment is solely at the discretion of the company you are placed with. Some participants received paid internships, but we cannot guarantee a paid position. Participants must be financially prepared to undertake an unpaid internship should they join the ABI program.

Are start dates and duration flexible?

The duration of the internships ranges from 2-6 months, and start dates are flexible. For local programs, applications are due 3 months prior to the intended start date. For international programs, applications are due 6 months prior to the intended start date.

Can the internships be accredited?

Several schools offer the possibility to gain academic credit for internships. We would highly recommend you to contact your faculty or career center to inquire about this. For all internships that we arrange, we can build a detailed training plan that will be in line with your studies and curriculum.

Feel free to put us in touch with your advisors to discuss further.

Will the internship be hybrid, virtual, or In-person?

Unless you are enrolled in the Virtual Program, internships will either be fully in-person or hybrid (a few days in the office/location and a few days remote). In-person/hybrid policies will generally be indicated during the interview with the companies. You may feel free to ask this question to the employer(s) during the interview process.
