Program Overview

Head to the spectacular Mother City of Cape Town in South Africa and stay right by the beach in Hout Bay, where you'll learn to surf, before embarking on two weeks of volunteering on community projects, then spend a week rounding off your time with a 6-day tour along the famous Garden Route.

In Cape Town, you’ll be exploring all this city has to offer - starting with the ocean, beaches, and perfect surf. During your first two days, you'll tour the local area, then spend the rest of the week taking surf lessons. Week two and three are spent volunteering at one of our placements, working with children or the disabled in two local townships. At the weekends you'll have time to explore as a tourist and there's no shortage of things to see and do.

In your fourth week, you will set off on your tour of The Garden Route. You’ll see some of the most amazing beaches, the most southerly point of Africa at Cape Agulhas, and lots more. The tour is guided by a local who will show you the best spots along the route. There are plenty of included activities, and you will have the chance to try many optional extras such as bungee jumping and sandboarding.
