AHAH is a fantastic organization that I could not recommend enough to others. At its core the program is there to work with local communities after disaster to help rebuild in anyway necessary. The vibrant people you will work with- of all ages and parts of the world- take the program to the next level. AHAH is a unique way to connect/ learn about a culture and from the locals as well as a way to meet other good natured people from all over. The work has been inspiring, emotional, and transformi...

I always wanted to volunteer in a Spanish speaking country and a friend of mine told me about All Hands and Hearts. I went to check on their website and I saw that they were opening a project in Mexico. This was my chance to achieve my goals, and this was the best experience of my life. What inspired you to travel abroad?

The profound sense of community that is gained from being on an All Hands and Hearts project has been the driving factor for my continued work with the organization. On every program that I've been on, I find myself surrounded by the warmest, kindest, most caring individuals.

My parents live in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. After hearing about the damage and the struggles on the island, I had to give back to my people in their time of need. I decided to volunteer for two weeks and help many in need after Hurricane Maria. I enjoyed my time with the home owners and all the help I was able to provide, thanks to the program.
