Frequently Asked Questions

What documents do I need to travel to Kenya?

A passport which must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry and have at least one blank page.

Is Kenya a safe country?

Yes, in general Kenya is a safe country. However, we encourage all participants to have common sense and to pay particular attention to their personal belongings and electronic devices. For summer language trips, bear in mind that children will only travel in a group, will be supervised and accompanied throughout the trip.

Is a visa required to travel to Kenya?

Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is mandatory, it is included in our package, so we will request it online via the Kenyan Government website (www.etakenya.go.ke). You must know your arrival and departure dates and have at least one accommodation booked at the time of your application for the ETA.

Do I need any special vaccinations before travelling to Kenya?

No, no vaccination is mandatory. In any case, it is advisable to take anti-malarial prophylaxis, at the discretion of the individual. We kindly request those concerned to seek advice from their Local Health Unit or International vaccination programme before departure.

Is health insurance compulsory?

It is not mandatory, but it is already included in our package, as it is strongly recommended by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and experts. Medical care in Kenya, especially in private hospitals, can be very expensive.
