I recently had the opportunity to participate in the Sports Coaching Volunteer Project with African Impact in Cape Town, South Africa. This experience turned out to be incredibly fulfilling and eye-opening, both personally and professionally. As part of the project, I worked with local children and youth, coaching them in various sports. The goal of the program was to use sports as a tool to teach essential life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence, while also promoting phys...

This was an absolute once in a lifetime experience. Not only were the projects extremely enjoyable and fulfilling but the people you get to meet and work with make the trip completely. Rachel and Khanyiso are such amazing people and I'm so incredibly lucky to have met them both along with all the staff at The Lenox too. Everyone makes you feel so welcome and I would honestly come back and do it all over again if I could. As someone who came on their own so anxious of meeting new people, I've com...

I would recommend this trip to everyone even if you just have a slight interest I promise you will love it.

I love traveling. It’s more than a hobby, I could already consider it an addiction. When I travel I like to try different experiences and try to immerse myself in the culture of the places I go. I have always wanted to travel to Africa, and what better way to get to know the real Africa than by doing volunteer work? Where I come from (Peru) there are plenty of projects I can help with and have helped with before, so I got asked the same question over and over again: "If you want to do volunteer work, why not do it here?". This time I wanted to combine my addiction to travel while volunteering to help on some projects.
