Intern in Barcelona with Absolute Internship

My experience with Absolute Internship in Barcelona gave me a strong balance of professional experience and independence. I interned at Atlex, where I worked on immigration law-related tasks such as client communication, visa documents, translations, case organization, and support letters. The work was meaningful because it connected to real client matters, but it was also balanced with enough time to experience Barcelona and adjust to living abroad. I felt like I was gaining practical legal experience while also learning how to navigate a new city, workplace, and culture. The Atlex team was welcoming and willing to teach me, which helped me become more confident in a professional setting. Before this internship, I was unsure whether law was the right path for me. After working in immigration law, I can now see it as a career option I would genuinely enjoy. Overall, the experience gave me more direction, confidence, and a better understanding of what legal work can look like in practice.

I have had an incredible experience in Barcelona, and much of that comes from the comfort Absolute Internship provided. Their Orientations gave me a clear idea of workplace customs and helped me better prepare for the internship with that knowledge in mind. The Program Coordinators were kind, and I grew comfortable with them to ask for advice and recommendations; I know that I could go to them whenever I have an issue or concern. The activities they set out for us allowed me to meet people who I soon became close friends with, and they reached out to make sure that I was comfortable throughout my time there!

This international internship was one of the most valuable experiences of my academic and professional journey. As a Management Information Systems student with a strong interest in marketing, social media, and international collaboration, this program gave me the opportunity to apply my knowledge in a real working environment while continuing to learn every day. I was able to strengthen my communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability skills by working with people from different cultural and professional backgrounds. My curiosity, willingness to learn, creativity, and ability to work well in a team helped me contribute to the projects while also growing personally and professionally. The internship was well organized, the mentors were supportive, and I was encouraged to take initiative and develop new skills. Beyond the professional experience, building international friendships and experiencing a new culture made this journey truly unforgettable. I returned home with greater confidence, a broader perspective, and valuable experience that will positively shape my future career. I highly recommend this internship to anyone who wants to develop professionally, challenge themselves, and gain international experience.
