What inspired you to work for Go Abroad China?
I’ve always been passionate about cultural exchange and helping people feel welcome in new environments. When I learned about Go Abroad China’s mission to create meaningful, immersive experiences for international students, I knew it was the perfect fit. The idea of guiding students through their first steps in China — from the excitement to the challenges — really resonated with me. I wanted to be part of a team that makes those moments memorable and transformative.

How do you use your education and international background in your current role?
I use my education to apply well-developed research, communication, and organizational skills in creating marketing strategies, managing partnerships, and developing program content. My international background helps me understand cross-cultural perspectives, tailor messaging for diverse audiences, and build relationships with partners and clients from different countries. This combination allows me to create campaigns and outreach efforts that resonate globally while still addressing local needs.
What advice would you tell your pre-travel self?
I would tell myself to keep an open mind and embrace every experience, even if it feels unfamiliar or challenging at first. Sometimes the most rewarding moments come from situations you didn’t plan for — getting lost in a new neighborhood, trying food you’ve never heard of, or having an unexpected conversation with a local. Every encounter is a lesson in patience, curiosity, and connection.

What makes Go Abroad China special?
Go Abroad China is unique because we don’t treat students as just participants — we treat them like family. From the first airport pickup to their final days in China, we are involved every step of the way. I’m especially proud of our team during the peak arrival season each year. We work around the clock to coordinate flights, housing, orientation, and emergencies — often juggling hundreds of details. Seeing students smile after settling in makes all the effort worth it.
Why should someone choose your organization over competitors?
Go Abroad China stands out because of our personal approach. We don’t just place students in programs and leave them to figure things out — we guide them through every step, from pre-departure to post-program follow-up. Our in-country support team is always available, and we treat every participant like family. The level of care, cultural immersion, and hands-on assistance we provide is unmatched.

What is your organization's mission, and how do you continue to work toward it?
Our mission is to foster global understanding and personal growth through high-quality, immersive programs in China. We work toward this by offering diverse opportunities — internships, language study, volunteering, and cultural activities — all designed to help participants experience China authentically. We also constantly refine our programs based on student feedback, ensuring we meet their needs while staying true to our cultural exchange values.
What do you hope participants take away from your programs?
I hope they leave with a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, a broader worldview, and the confidence to navigate unfamiliar environments. Beyond professional skills, I want them to carry home friendships, memories, and perspectives that shape their future choices. Specially understanding of the Chinese culture and people from industrial side to cultural.

Why is it important for people to travel abroad and experience new cultures?
Traveling abroad pushes you out of your comfort zone and opens your mind to new ways of thinking. Experiencing a different culture firsthand teaches empathy, adaptability, and respect for diversity — lessons you simply can’t learn from books or online. It also challenges stereotypes and builds real connections across borders.
What does meaningful travel mean to you?
Meaningful travel is about more than just sightseeing — it’s about engaging deeply with a place and its people. It’s learning the language, understanding the customs, contributing to the community, and leaving with a sense of mutual respect. For me, meaningful travel changes both the traveler and the host community for the better.
