Rafting Programs in Fiji

This program for individuals ages 17-22 has just the right balance of adventure and environmental service in New Zealand, followed by the laid-back island living in Fiji. In New Zealand, we'll mountain bike in Rotorua, raft over the world's highest commercial waterfall, stay in a sacred Maori house, and connect deeply with nature during an environmental service. We'll work alongside park rangers, search for the elusive kiwi bird, plant native trees, get hands-on with local ecology and wildlife, and camp under brilliant starry night skies. The Polynesian legacy is the development of seafaring and navigation skills and canoe technology that enabled them to voyage across the Pacific Ocean. We journey across the Pacific to Fiji, immersing in authentic village life on Vatulele Island.

Journey through the South Pacific on an immersive adventure that spans Fiji’s coral-rich waters, New Zealand’s alpine landscapes, and Australia’s rugged Outback and iconic reefs. Begin in a coastal Fijian village, where you experience island traditions, explore waterfalls, and snorkel alongside local dive experts. Ski New Zealand’s Southern Alps, join a welcoming Kiwi homestay, and then sail through Australia’s Whitsunday Islands as part of a working crew. Cap it off with time in Sydney and epic hikes around Uluru and Kata Tjuta.

Work alongside conservationists and researchers and dive with sharks in a controlled environment in this exciting program for young participants who are at least 15 years old and have a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent scuba certification. Dispel negative myths surrounding sharks and discover their importance to ocean ecosystems. On a single dive, observe bull, lemon, and tiger sharks. At the Shark Reef Marine Reserve, dispel the myths surrounding sharks and observe multiple species in a controlled setting. Learn all about shark biology and behavior.
