CGE's study center offers two six-week long summer sessions in which students can take two courses per session. Participants looking for a longer experience can stay for 12 weeks and complete four courses. The program includes numerous guest speakers and excursions as well as optional homestays with Mexican families.
- Orientation in Mexico City: Spend 3-5 days in Mexico City visiting museums, pyramids, and meeting with a wide range of guest lecturers.
- Courses in English and Spanish: The program is open to all students, including those with no prior Spanish.
- Experiential education: Integrate solid academic work with real-life experiences.
- Diverse Speakers/Educational Excursions: Learn directly from local people involved in some of the most important issues of our time.
- Homestay: Spend several weeks living with a local family, participating in their daily life and activities. LGBT homestays are available.
- Optional Travel: Participate in optional weekend excursions and/or travel on your own to nearby Mexico City, Puebla, Taxco, and/or Toluca

The program fees include tuition for two courses, course related field trips, room and board with host families, pre-trip preparation materials, airport or bus transfers, emergency travel insurance, and general program oversight. Airfare is not included. The program price does not include passport and visa application fees or entry and exit taxes. Your entry and exit taxes may be included in the cost of airfare.

The Center for Global Education offers a range of scholarships and financial aid to students with demonstrated financial need and whose participation in a semester or summer academic program contributes to a community of co-learners that values a variety of cultures and backgrounds. * The Diversity Scholarship is for students who have not traditionally been represented in study abroad, specifically ethnic minority and LGBT students. Awards cover up to 50% of the cost of a semester program abroad and up to USD 1,000 off the cost of a summer academic program. * Need-Based Financial Aid is available for students with demonstrated financial need. Awards cover up to 50% of the cost of a semester program abroad and up to USD 1,000 off the cost of a summer academic program. * Partner Scholarships are awards for students from schools that have special agreements with CGE. Please contact us to determine if your home school is one of CGE's partner institutions. * PJSA Member Discount is available for students whose home school is a member of the Peace and Justice Studies Association. Automatic award of USD 500 toward a semester study abroad program in Mexico or Central America.
