I was very hesitant at first to join this program. There were so many horror stories out there of people being scammed, and cheated out of money, with the promise of an amazing teaching and living experience in Vietnam. However, I was proved wrong. This program is 100% legitimate. Having gone through TravelBud, I was then placed into contact with Cassidy, as part of the XploreAsia team. She guided me through all the intricate international paperwork and documents which need to be secured, before flying to Vietnam. There is no way I could have organized this by myself. Even though I lived in the UK, all my queries and worries were answered by Cassidy in a very timely manner. Even upon arrival in Vietnam, when I endured logistical problems due to the World IT Outage last month, Cassidy ensured I got transported to the correct hotel, after a mis-communication issue. And lets not forget Lan Anh on the ground team. An amazing lady. So helpful, and knowledgeable. She oversaw our Orientation week and was just a pleasure to be around. Before I came to Vietnam, I was working in either mundane or dead-end jobs, and my life seemed more uncertain with each passing day as I dreaded that my potential would be ultimately wasted. I chose XploreAsia after learning that they are the organisation that many other programs enrol you with. The XploreAsia team made the process of finding a job super simple and the orientation program was really enjoyable and prepared me for life in Vietnam. It was also great to have a ready made group of friends on arrival! The team on the ground in Vietnam are amazing - so friendly and supportive and they've stayed in touch with us in the months following our arrival. So helpful having access to "local knowledge"! I have been teaching in Vietnam for the past few months and I have been teaching at one of the leading training centers in Vietnam. It has been a great experience so far. My Manager and work colleagues have been great and have supported me through out this phase very well.

Deciding to take the leap and teach English abroad has truly changed my life. Not only have I visited incredible places and tried new and interesting foods, I have met amazing people that I will be friends with for life. Living in Vietnam, I have had many opportunities for personal, intellectual and professional growth, and I am so grateful for this experience! I am also so, so grateful for XploreAsia. Moving abroad, especially to a country with a different language, is very daunting. XploreAsia helps with every single step of the way - how to get your visa paperwork ready and a step-by-step breakdown of the process, the job-placement process and setting up interviews, looking over contracts, helping with packing advice and what to prepare before you leave, as well as help when you land in the country. The orientation week was invaluable and helped settling into life in Vietnam tenfold. I did my XploreAsia course in Saigon, Vietnam about two months ago and now I am teaching full-time, living with friends I met on the course, and truly loving every minute of the experience. XploreAsia is the perfect way to begin your journey abroad, both in terms of teaching English and cultural immersion/integration into a new country. The course began with an orientation week where we learned about Vietnamese history, culture, and language, this included excursions with the whole group to famous tourist attractions. This really helped me gain an understanding of the country that I was about to live in which is so important for an ex-pat. The TESOL course was great and sets you up nicely for when you eventually get into your classroom as there are two practicals (one in a language centre and one in a public school). If you are looking for a program that gives you a headstart with cultural immersion with many others in the same boat as you and provides an amazing teaching course....then XploreAsia is the one for you!

Hi, I’m an ex-pat living in Vietnam. As someone who just lived in Vietnam for a few months, I’m interested in sharing with you guys what I feel about the country and why I decided to choose Vietnam as my second home. Moving to Vietnam was the best decision I've ever made. The great diversity, Vietnam has so much to offer to foreigners when they visit or decide to settle in the country. You have a great diversity of different modern cities including Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang, Ha Noi, and other small cities that are growing modernly and still keeping that fresh traditional vibe of Vietnam which provokes my interest to explore as much as I can. Also, the people in Vietnam are a perfect mix between the traditional and the modern. Here you will see people that are modest in the way they speak and welcome foreigners. Even though they can’t speak English, they still have ways that make us understand. Some young people are educated and can speak English fluently. You can easily connect with them to make friends and understand more about the country. Not only do you get to make friends with the locals, but also people from different corners of the world who end up becoming your family away from yours.

I've been in Vietnam for about 4 months now. At first, I was homesick and struggling, But then I made incredible friendships with the people in XploreAsia. They had a significant impact on me getting out of my shell more and enjoying what was around me and forgetting my worries. We have parted ways now but we still keep in contact. Center life has been a lot easier now as well. I'm used to all the classes and the students in my class as well. The Teachers and TA at my center were all welcoming. I'm so glad that I took this leap to come over to Vietnam and teach!

Everyone at xplore Asia went above and beyond for all of us. We were the first course back after covid and they took such good care of us. They were so patient with our questions before, during and after the course and took every measure to ensure our welfare, safety and comfort during the process. I was so nervous to move so far away but they made us feel safe and comfortable throughout. They provided us with so many materials and tips and even kept in touch with us after we left.

My experience abroad has allowed me with the opportunities to grow, develop and experience a new way of life. If you had told me 2 years ago that I would be living in another country and teaching English, I'd have thought you were crazy. However, that has come to pass, and I couldn't have done a lot of it without the help of the Xplore Asia team. The staff is small so you get to know everyone personally and the wisdom they imparted onto us extended outside of the classroom with everyone continuing to mentor us in some capacity as well as field any questions we may have. I chose the in-country TESOL course, and I can say it was worth it solely to get my toes wet before fully committing to such a huge change in my life. I was paired with other students and able to really build a community with them over the month that we spent learning and being culturally enriched. You'll definitely stay busy while you are there, whether it is during the welcome week period or during your spare time outside of the course (I know my group had a blast visiting Vũng Tàu together). There are some more surprises with the course, but I'll keep it brief and say that the English camps were quintessential to getting some real-world experience prior to applying to our desired workplace. Overall, despite missing the welcome week, everything went by so quickly and will forever be a positive and life-changing experience for me that I won't soon forget it.

XploreAsia is an amazing program that provides you support before, during and after receiving a TESOL certificate / teaching placement. I have no regrets in going through this company as their 3 week in-person TESOL course taught me the skills needed to teach in a language centre in Vietnam, as well as helping me adjust/prepare for culture shock. This program also introduced me to a lovely group of people that I think will be my lifelong friends! Moving to another country can be a really scary and lonely thing to do but XploreAsia did a really good job in providing the resources, support and a sense of community
