Program Overview

Swahili (also called Kiswahili) is the most widespread language in East Africa. About 90 million people speak it in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Congo, and Mozambique.

We offer Swahili language courses across all levels (from beginner to advanced) in Mosh, Zanzibar, and also online. Lessons focus on the ability to communicate and oral expression. You will receive one-to-one lessons from a trained and experienced native-speaking language teacher. If your group has 2-4 members of a similar level, it is also possible to take classes together. You can choose the intensity from 10 to 20 hours per week.

Classes will be held at the YMCA in Moshi, Kilimanjaro. In Zanzibar, your teacher will be trained as a language instructor by a non-profit foundation. If you prefer to take lessons from home, you can also take remote Swahili lessons provided by experienced teachers.
