Program Overview

Do you want to do an internship abroad in the medical field? How about Bolivia? Our program is designed for students and trainees in medicine, nursing, and physiotherapy, offering hands-on experience in a hospital setting in Cochabamba, Bolivia. If you are not yet enrolled in a medical school, we can also arrange a pre-medical or pre-nursing internship.

You will gain valuable insights into healthcare provision by observing and assisting local staff in their daily work. Under supervision, you may have the opportunity to perform minor treatments and activities, such as wound care and measuring vital signs. You'll be assigned a mentor in your specialty who will decide which examinations and treatments you can perform under their supervision.

The program is available all year with flexible start dates and a minimum duration of 2 weeks. You can choose to stay in one department or rotate through multiple departments to gain a broad understanding of the hospital's operations.
