Intern in Italy with World Endeavors

I was able to work in the field that I chose and gain knowledge and experience. I was able to achieve professional goals through my internship, but also personal goals through traveling alone and sightseeing.

I wasn't able to learn as much about archiving as I had hoped, but being able to work in a new environment abroad with other like-minded people has helped me understand myself better and realized a personal goal.

I was placed in an internship that was specific to my expressed interest, and my boss allowed me to work alongside him on his projects and share my own ideas and creativity throughout the process. I learned a lot during my experience within my internship, and had so much fun during my whole abroad trip. Something to note: I did get my housing assignment and internship placement only a week before I was supposed to leave, so I was a little nervous that I would show up and have no where to stay when I got there.

The World Endeavors intership placement has helped me gain a different perspective in healthcare, public health and made me more open to different career options. Would recommend to my friends and collegues!

Experiencing a different culture and living in the midst of it all was the best thing I could've done for myself. I learned a lot about people and different ways of life during my internship stay with World Endeavors.

Such a wonderful support from my World Endeavors' coordinators. I had a ton of questions and they really helped out a lot. Loved the program and the experience.

I love my internship! It is amazing! I am actually looking into working here full time. I want to travel to a few more places to get a more broad idea of what Italy is like.

The program is going great, I am learning a lot and traveling on weekends! i am interning at a nursing home and I assist the nurses with everyday tasks and learn about the Italian healthcare system and how it differs from the United States. I wish to continue to travel and improve my Italian

My internship in Italy went very well. I have work to do everyday and the tasks challenge me to do my best. I've experienced going to the soccer game between Fiorentina and Juventus. The stadium was standing room only & it was a night game on a weeknight. I sometimes miss home, especially friends & family. I've kept myself very busy and have made many friends here to keep my mind off of home. I had the goal to travel either to southern Italy or outside of Italy and to better understand and speak Italian

My semester is going great! I am learning so much at my internship and all the people are super nice. I have been helping to cut and sew jackets and skirts, and scarves.My favorite experience so far was cutting and sewing a shirt for myself.

I am having a great time at my internship, I have a great boss and feel that I am making a contribution to the business as well as the florence tourism sector and local government. the internship has definetely been my highlight of the semester abroad.

Everything is very well in Italy. It is perfect for what I am looking for. I am getting to know a different aspect of the industry and learn more of the language.

Wonderful! I've learned a lot and hope to continue doing so in the time remaining. I had to interact in Italian a lot in every-day life. At work, I had to attend meetings entirely in Italian and sometimes translate documents, which forced me to improve greatly.

love working within the industry i love and making new contacts. I'm experiencing this experience with everything ive got, open mind, put myself out there... if i dont then we wont get anywhere in life.

My internship has been my favorite experience so far! Everyone I work with is very nice. They only speak to me in Italian so I am learning a lot! Also being able to travel on the weekends has been good.

Amazing! I feel like I'm contributing something to the business, not just taking up space and learning when I can like other internships. They just took me on a business trip to Germany, I travelled cross country and spent some time in Berlin.

After four weeks studying Italian in Florence, I am now working for an annual music festival in Montepulciano. It is incredible! I am working with professional opera singers and more personal experiences with Italians than I did in Florence.

Traveling has been most beneficial to me. The independence that living here has given me and the assertive nature in the work environment that I have adopted in order to try to get the best out of this experience is something that I will take away for the rest of my life.

I learned about Italian viticulture and enology. I was able to bottle and label wine and learned about the different grape varieties. Although i only took a couple weeks of Italian it helped me learn foreign language skills as well.

My internship with World Endeavors is going very well. In the morning I go to the archive and work for about five hours on a project. The afternoons and most Fridays I have free, so I never feel too tired with work.

My internship is going very well. I enjoy the atmosphere and the people are very nice and helpful. I feel the internship itself is a great experience.

The people of the Red Cross in Italy were fantastic and so welcoming! I loved working with them, learning their medical culture and hearing all of their stories! Yes, it really opened my eyes to a different kind of healthcare system which I believe is very important because of all the changes we are going to see in our healthcare system in the coming years. Seeing a government run healthcare system and how it interacted with red cross which was a voluntary healthcare facility was a big learning experience. I want other students interested in medicine to be able to experience another healthcare system first hand.

Amazing! I am having the time of my life with my internship. I am learning soooo much and it's all directly applicable to my every day life.

The local WE staff was wonderful, he was so helpful in making sure that everything was going all right and that there were no problems that he had to sort out. It was more than I expected.

I worked at an art gallery in Florence. It was a wonderful experience and my Italian skills really developed. I took an Italian language class every morning and spoke Italian at work. The classes were helpful and I learned the language faster than I thought I would.
